With the recent next year trip discussion it looks like I could be headed to Greece in the 2nd half of next year! One of my closest friends wants a trip to celebrate our milestone-ish birthdays and knowing she prefers Europe I said how about Spain or Greece? And she goes "GREECE!!!!!" (Tbh I didn't think she'd be down with an international trip but I'm quite happy about this development!) I'm already analyzing my cc choices in light of the idea I might head for Greece next year. So far I have discovered Hilton is worthless there. SPG Lux it will be me thinks...

I love Greece! Or the Greek Islands to be exact. Loved Santorini (as I mentioned before). Also Old Town in Rhodes and Chania on Crete. One of my most memorable trips thus far.

DH just handed me a $150 Visa GC (his Christmas bonus) and a $50 Visa GC from the neighbors (for helping them out with something). I asked, what do you want to do with them? He goes, whatever you want to do with them. Um, travel? Disney GCs?

Our gas varies sooo much. Driving home the other night, I need gas. DH says, this BP ahead is usually cheap. I open the Gas Buddy app, BP is 2.24, another station a few blocks out of the way is 2.01 and we pass a couple at 2.30 on the way. Crazy. Right now Costco is 1.99, Marathon is 2.17 and Shell is 2.27-2.49.

Hi! My name is Shay and I'm a hypocrite! The idea of not having a new card for our final $5400 quarterly tax payment was killing me so I lifted my credit freeze and was approved for the Citi AA Biz. Whoo hoo! As soon as it comes in I'll make the tax payment and once the statement closes I'll have 70,000 (+5400) AA miles. No idea what I'll do with them but always good to resupply! OMG, I took DS11 to just look at puppies yesterday and I think that was a total mistake. I now have puppy dog tears to deal with today as to why he can’t get a pug. He even wrote a paper for all reasons he should be allowed to get a pug. He even selected names- Ernesto, Melinda or Hamlin. I must admit I had no idea puppies were so expensive to purchase. They had English Bulldogs for $3000. What the heck! I couldn’t meet MSR just by getting a dog? Without any of the needed supplies? He’s even willing to give up vacations to be home with his puppy. Now to find a friend with a dog he can go visit since, unfortunately, that puppy MSR is only a dream...

Adopt. If you’re really set on a specific breed, look for a local breed rescue (it might be called something like Massachusetts Pug Rescue). Most have FB pages. DS also wants a puppy. I think I’ve put him off until summer as we have vacation in March and May to need dogsitting. However, my sister fosters dogs and I’m sure a perfect one will come along before then.

Better avoid being around a PetSmart on adoption days now that he's dogdedicated! Ours runs them every weekend and you can hear the poor pups on the other side of the shopping center pulling at your heartstrings...

I always see movies at AMC because they are two of the closest theatres. The movie I want to see Christmas Day is in a limited release, which I didn't realize and it's not how it was advertised, but it's only at a Cinnemark about 25 min away. Thank goodness there won't be traffic or I'd just wait til Jan 11. Anyway, the only way to buy tickets online is with fandango, this theatre isn't on atom which is the one I see talked about the most here. Is there anyway to get savings etc with fandango? Without getting stuck with part of a gc I won't use for a long time (too much AMC gc's already).

Mary Poppins tomorrow

Dh & I are going to see Mary Poppins tomorrow too!! We are going to dinner and a movie and our girls are watching our boys. It will be the FIRST time since we had children over 18yrs ago that we are going to a movie by ourselves and then to dinner! Normally, if, and it's a big if, we actually go out on a 'date', it's just dinner. My girls saw Mary Poppins on Wednesday and loved it. I cannot wait to see it

I have ended up with two of those wallets I am using right now. One holds 15 cards the other has slot for 12 and identification in front. One for Amex cards (so I can use them all) and one for Chase and gift cards. They fit nicely in my Dooney and Bourke Orange Bird purse that I got months ago when it was on a good sale. You all are a bad influence!

I'm glad they liked it, I've been avoiding everything including most of the previews. The original is one of my favorite movies so I'm a bit hesitant and wasn't actually sure I wanted to see it.

It's been over 30 days since I got my dh his SW plus so I can apply at any time for the SW biz but I'm just terrified. Completely paralyzed with fear. I have no idea why. I cancelled his CIP so he only has the CIC. This should be easy, right??

Well I was good for a while but alas I have fallen about 11 days and 80 pages behind on my favorite thread. Headed down to the world on Sunday through New Years so I will likely fall further behind but I’ll definitely try to catch up on the flights. I learn so much from you guys and I’m looking forward to trying to go a little deeper into churning in 2019.
MSRs for SW Biz and Plus have been met (after December statements were posted) so I’m hoping to see points post early in 2019. It would be great if we could use 2CPs to fly on March 16th.
