AMEX offer question. I have two Sams.com offers on one card, $5 back on $15 and $10 on $50. How will this work, say, if I spend $50. Will it use the right one? Will it use both?

Your are correct. I did that -- transferred his URs to my CF and at that point I discovered I no longer had a UR account! So I moved them back.

you do have a UR acct (just to clarify for others reading here) but with only a FR card you can't use those UR to transfer to your airline

Woohoo, DHs SPG Lux points posted today! AMEXs habit of ignoring credits and refunds means for them we hit the $5k spend on 11/16 to them. Really putting gas in DHs car on Monday night pushed us to $5025 after credits, so I'm just waiting for it to officially post. Surely it will today... 11/25 will be 90 days from application/approval.

Mine too! Well, posted to Amex, but not Marriott yet. I checked last night and not there, this morning they showed up.

Also on the Sams offer, most of the gift cards (not Disney) are just under the $50 mark. I can order a Sams gift card for $50, then use that in store to buy the gift cards I want?

We’re on our annual pilgrimage to Disneyland for Thanksgiving. I have many things to be thankful for this year, including the fine company we keep here. Thanks, all, and have a very happy Thanksgiving!

P.S. And to keep this credit card related, our flights were booked with United miles, we caught a quick delicious hot breakfast at the Amex Centurion Lounge, we’ll be catching an Uber using the Amex Platinum’s Uber credits, and we’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel booked with UR points when we could still book Disney through Chase. We’re stocked up on discounted Disney Gift Cards, which we’ll be using for almost everything, including the Disneyland Hotel Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow — an annual tradition for our family. Our Starbucks apps are loaded up with stars and cash from all those Amex Offers and Chase Pay deals. But, sadly, I still have not signed up for TSA Precheck or Global Entry so I had to slum it with the plebs at security; upside, SFO upgraded some of their bag check carousels about 2-3 weeks ago, and the experience was slightly more pleasant.

There have been too many approvals for me to keep up with and throw dance parties for. The holidays and getting ready for this trip have been keeping me busy. But please take my likes and congratulations! Props to @miztressuz and @palhockeymomof2 for keeping it up! We’re about to take off, so allons-y!

Mine too! Well, posted to Amex, but not Marriott yet. I checked last night and not there, this morning they showed up.

I was geetting concerned because in his AMEX account for the last week or so, it just says not available under the rewards section So I was happy to see them in his Marriott account. I knew the number was right because he'd already had points from spending post to Marriott, so not sure what's up with the unavailable thing.

Just got approved for the Amex Platinum Business card that I regretted cancelling. I wasn’t ever able to find an offer without the once per lifetime bonus language. So, I did the next best thing and used a referral link from DH. The $200 airline credit this year and again in January will take some of the sting out of the annual fee. I wanted to get approved for this one before I go ahead and cancel the Schwab one once the AF posts too. I’m happy about having a card I shouldn’t have cancelled to begin with.

Lessons learned for last night’s very late night:
1. Do not rent from Budget! It took almost 2 hours to get our car at MCO at 12:50 am. Their agents were clueless. Clearly, FastBreak should be snail pace.
2. On late arrivals, stay at the Hyatt!
3. Do NOT rent from Budget!

Getting to our hotel after 3 am did not make us happy campers and now we are exhausted today. Luckily, this is a laid back getaway. Today, Relax, swim, go to Dave and Buster’s, shop and dinner at PF Chang’s. Tomorrow, SeaWorld, move to Sapphire Falls and dinner at CityWalk with my brother. Fri and Sat TBD...oh and did I mention DS11 through a fit when we arrived at the shuttle parking lot and said he didn’t want to go and wanted to stay home! He said he would rather be in school today because he had a science quiz and it was going to be a fun day.

Not exactly sure on the timing. Did you PC to the no-AF Arrival? Barclays considers those the same product, so if you did you'd have to close the Arrival before trying for the Arrival+ again.

In the past I've always read to leave it closed for 6 months before applying again to maximize your chances at approval. At best, you'd probably have to wait at least 1 month after closing the no-AF Arrival to prevent Barclays from reopening the old account.

My barclay aa has somewhere in the account settings online where you can set it up. I had to make sure I knew what it was before we went to Paris. I don't remember what I used now

Yes but I ordered gift cards from them two weeks ago and still can’t get them to process them. So that’s what I would do but it can be a slow and painful process.

I just realized I have it on a third card! we have 3 BCE in the family,all 3 have the offer....none of the others do. Now I wonder..is this for cruise that has to be taken by that date,or just *booked* by that date?

The payment has to be made by that date. AmEx is looking at the date the charge is on the card to give the credit.

In theory yes, or even turn it around and use it online again. But if you are looking at physical gift cards, I'm still waiting for mine from 11/10. There's been no change. I'm about to call and get them to cancel them because I needed them for tomorrow or Friday... oddly enough for actual gifts! Now I have to go pick them up in a store since they still say "recently placed order"
Don't know what the deal is, if it's the amount I ordered or the day I ordered or they just suck. Maybe eGifts come faster?
