Alright I’m back with an update for anyone who cares lol

Dh applied for the Southwest business card to get the 60k points. We will pay the rest of our flight by transferring chase points over. He called and it said 2 weeks.

We used chase points to book our LAX hotels on each end of our stay. They are each for one night. The first hotel is the Hyatt and the second is the Sheraton. Both have free shuttles to the airport and that was our main goal since it’ll just be a place to sleep before flying the next day.

I haven’t decided yet if I will get the $1000 Hilton honors card or wait a bit and then get the CSR.

Go for CP? u can use that from flying from the middle of no where to LAX with the price of 1 ticket.

New Amex offers I had:
$10 off $50 at Sam’s club (online) on my gold and both kids who are authorized users on my bce also had it.

That's nice! I have 10 of 30 at H&R Block. And the $100 of $500 for the cruises.

I'd like to have the Sam's Club or Chewy.

Dh was already approved for the southwest business card! I couldn’t help but call one more time before bed. I’m glad I did!

Can we call to get his card number so we can use it for online stuff for Black Friday?
Congrats party:
As far as the card number....I haven’t seen any reports of Chase giving out card numbers...maybe call to see if it can be expedited

Thanks I’ll have to look more into the Barclay. I’ve seen it mentioned on here but I don’t know anything about it. Would we just cash out the points from them or could we transfer them?

It's essentially a cash-out on the Arrival+. You have a travel charge, go to your rewards, choose to apply awards against a travel charge, and select the appropriate charge. The rewards will appear as a statement credit.

I'm a big proponent of the A+. It's a great card with rewards that are super easy to use. Of course, it's not particularly useful after the sign-up bonus. But it is churnable, so make sure you put a few charges on it throughout the year - Barclays values ongoing use more than any other issuer.

I just got a lesson on how difficult it is to move United airline miles from one person's account to another. And expensive!

I transferred 150k URs to his United account, ready to buy plane tickets but they only offered mixed cabin for three people, so I did another search for two and got my flights so I booked for dh and dd. Then I went to my account which did NOT have enough miles and of course was not able to (inexpensively) transfer dh's miles to me. Prohibitively expensive! And his URs cannot go to me either because I'm not an authorized user on his CSR.

I ended up buying two tickets with miles and the other two with cash. It is still way cheaper than if I had bought them outright with cash. Note to self to try to bank most of the miles in one account, so enough for three miles in one account and enough for one person in the other. I guess his will be the main account since he has the CSR. I should have kept my CSR open for this reason! Instead I converted it to another Chase Freedom to get the categories on two cards. Very stupid.

I wonder , though, if I could now apply for a CSR for myself. The CSP was opened July 2016 and converted a few months ago. Any opinion on this? Here's my card list:

How frequently can you churn the arrival+? I got it in 9/17. PC’ed a month ago when AF hit.

If I am understanding your post correctly, you are wanting to get a CSR for yourself? You can try for one but you would not be eligible for a bonus until it’s been 48 months since your last sapphire bonus posted. Bummer, I know :(

Unfortunately Chase made changes for the Sapphires and you aren't eligible to apply until 48 months after receiving the bonus on any Sapphire card. So can't apply for the CSR, but you can PC to it. If all you want is to transfer points to partners, just PC to the CSP for the lower AF. Then you can transfer his UR to your CSP and then transfer to the partner.

Pros and cons to the CSR AU, pro isn't it $75 per AU? That's slightly cheaper than the CSP AF; con reports to your CR so adds to 5/24 (until you can get it removed). If you didn't want to keep the CSP for the whole year I wonder if they would prorate the AF if you downgraded again after a couple months?
