Over the weekend, I bought some GCs on samsclub.com and received cash back from DOSH. I had previously thought it was only in store. Anyone else experience this online?

online has been hit and miss. Last time I split payment between Freedom and an AMEX and only the Freedom got cash back...

I just had the realization, that if we get the MCGCs from Safeway today with DHs AMEX, I should be able to load them into MasterPass and put them towards my car loan, and get the FFDs for them...

Currently sitting on a balcony outside our 8th floor Dolphin room overlooking the water. Ok, this is pretty nice.

My train was about 2 hours late getting into Orlando yesterday. A broken down freight train blocked the tracks in front of us south of Richmond, so we has to sit and wait a while. Nothing that can be done about that though. It was otherwise pleasant, I ate 3 very hearty meals and arrived here safely. I took some train pictures, but I'm having trouble with them on mobile, so those may have to wait until I get back home.

If anyone is at WDW, I'll be the guy double-fisting F&W goodies all day every day at Epcot.

We will be there on Friday evening but won't get to Epcot until probably Saturday as we are staying at Poly first night and visiting MK. Saturday morning, if you are still there I'll be looking across at you from Boardwalk.

Will be interested to see the train pictures!

It's the first one for me when I open up the dining category, it's listed as a Best Seller when I just looked now (so I should probably get my order in pronto), but I'm starting to wonder if they change up the inventory based on regions as even though I'm not signed in they took a guess at my zip code for delivery. Otherwise I'd have thought it'd be first up for everyone, but maybe it's only Best Seller in my district/region?

I was thinking I should maybe try to convince DH to apply for a SW card in Jan. in case Chase decides to change the bonus to every 48 months instead of 24 months. Wanted to verify, you can no longer receive bonuses for multiple personal cards, correct? DH is opposed to biz cards, so I would have to decide which is the most lucrative signup bonus at that time.

You are correct..only one SW personal sign up bonus...24 months from the last Personal bonus

Just piling on to the Costa Rica love! We had a great trip there - we only did the Osa Peninsula (flew in to San Jose, stayed overnight, then flew to the Osa). It was so beautiful. Its a great country to travel with little kids- everyone was super helpful and sweet to my DD. We didn't drive at all- hired drivers to get us from place to place - the roads are rough, esp. in the Osa. We'd love to go back.




Yeah, I got weird cancellation emails too when booked my 7 nights, even though it was the same category etc. The reservation looks good in my account, so I think it all will work out (will let you know in a couple weeks when we take the trip!)

Tell me about Osa. Where did you stay? I can't decide if I want Drake Bay or the other side (can't recall town names).

I have a decision to make.... I can either use all UR's for a week car rental in Maui- UR cash cost is 309.40 or 20,626 Ur's....
Or costco travel has a car for $247- Using the 'divide by .015' method I calculate the first cost oop as $0, but if I choose the 2nd, I'd pay the $247 oop, but $247/.015= 164.47- does this mean I'm really only saving the $164 when debating which is a better choice?

So I just check my portal (hello expedia,1st time looking since the change) and I found a booking for a minivan on my dates costing 225.99 -so 15066 UR..... that's a great deal! I still am unsure about the CSR in my name and the driver being my DH (help advise please) and I had it bill the last .99 to my CSR...will that provide coverage?

Dosh worked for my recent Sam's Club online order of Disney gc. Only tried it the one time so far though.

Terms say you won't get the FFD if you pay with a gift card. Are you thinking that by loading to Masterpass you'd get around that somehow (instead of adding the MasterCard gc directly to Plastiq)? I've paid a few bills with MasterCard gc's, but I assumed I would not get the FFD. I would love to be surprised.

Southwest Rapid Rewards shopping portal is offering 3000 bonus points for spending $1000. I just placed a $1000 order for Giftcards.com which also offers .5/$ so should get a total of 3500 Southwest miles and 3000 UR's on the purchase. Total fees were about $18. American Airlines is also offering a bonus so I'm going to do that one next. These cards are very easy to liquidate since they have your name on them but don't do more than you could potentially float.

How are you getting the 3x UR's? Is it because you are using Southwest's portal and Southwest is travel? If so, how did I not know this!?

Also, you're not having issues liquidating at Walmart?

Ok I'm not going totally crazy, BJ's has put some GC's on a better sale than I saw yesterday. The $100 Hotels .com GC is $84.99 right now, good through 11/3/18 (15% off) . I just looked and I DID get that email but didn't pay close attention - was thinking it was simply a promotion reminder. It does in fact state that I have earned FFD. Thank you thank you thank you!!

You should be able to skip the Masterpass step. I loaded my gc's directly to Plastiq.

Also, you're not having issues liquidating at Walmart?

Some gift card sites still code 3x on the CIP I believe. But shhhhh some people would like to keep that a "secret"... that most everyone knows about (but probably forgot like I totally did until the r/churning world went crazy).

Yeah the max is 3000 points. The terms exclude giftcard purchases but I think it will work.
