I just saw a sign in the post office about getting a new Medicare card soon. Glad to hear that's what it was all about and that change is finally being implemented. Thanks for the work!Did you get your fancy new Medicare card with your new Medicare number that replaces using your SSN? That’s been my big project at work for the last 2 years working with CMS.
I bought a $500 variable load US Bank-issued MCGC with a $5.95 activation fee from Safeway today. Registered the card on mygiftcardsite .com. Logged onto Plastiq in incognito mode less than 5 minutes later, clicked on my cards to Add New Card, clicked on +More Ways to Add, which caused the generic Masterpass button to show up, logged into Masterpass, selected the generic Masterpass wallet again, added the $500 MCGC to my Masterpass wallet, selected the MCGC I wanted to use, got taken back to Plastiq to make a $250 payment towards a student loan, AND IT WORKED! No fees, no error message! Started a new payment, and since the MCGC was already in the Masterpass wallet, I just kept that as the payment method, set up another $250 payment towards the same student loan, and IT WORKED AGAIN! No fees, no error message!
The only thing I can think that I did differently was doing the whole process in incognito mode.
I'll probably pick up a few more MCGCs before the Masterpass promo ends to make a dent in my Amex MSRs and student loans.

Totally can't show these great pics of your visits to the hubby, otherwise I may wind up with a Lounge Lord.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO ....... I guess it's my own fault...... I went back and found the link at DoC...when I clicked it this time it only offered 15k to upgrade.....so I guess I lost that first big offer I saw when I looked last week....
there is no way 15k points is worth a 5k spend to me.....
I would cash out for a discounted gift card and then paypal if you have a second redemption. Right now I am doing Walmart for Disney cards at Sam's because of our travel plans. If I didn't have a Disney trip, I would still probably do walmart and use it for groceries there or at Sam's, and then take $25 cash from my grocery budget and add it to travel. You could even do something like that, cash out for something you'll spend anyways and add the cash to your travel budget. Then you'd have the best of both worlds really, because if you ever end up using some of that cash on Disney gift cards you could put it towards deals![]()
I ran into a similar problem. I talked with Plasitq and they recommended clearing cookies etc. Then when I logged in , I was able to get regular Masterpass.I still cannot get it to work, even incognito. I gave up. Plastiq is not my friend.
Me too...Double check the offer when you login to your account. DH's offer was for 100k points/$5k spend (which we promptly accepted). My offer is for 15k points, BUT THE REQUIRED SPEND IS ONLY $1k. I'm still contemplating.
I didn't know about the gas discount! This what I do too (Walmart GC to Disney GC at Sams). I'll also add that there is a 3 cent discount on gas for paying with a Walmart gift card, and Walmart happens to be the cheapest and most convenient place for me to get gas.
I'm wondering too, they looks amazing! Haven't done a veggie sandwich with sweet rolls but we have made ham and cheese sliders and hamburger sliders with sweet rolls and it is deliciousDid you try the 'grilled vegetables on sweet bread'? I love Hawaiian rolls but have never thought of just making a veggie sandwich with them.
Since you have the DVC dues, can still try for Disney GC's and then move cash from the dues fund into the other vacation fund if that makes it easier to decide.
How does the AF work with the SPG Lux upgrade? I paid mine at the beginning of August...
Annual Membership Fee: Approximately 45 days after your account is upgraded, you will be charged a prorated Annual Membership Fee for your new Card based on the time remaining until your next account anniversary date. You will also receive a prorated refund for any annual fee paid on your previous Card.
So I would pay 10-11 months of the $450? And a 10-11 month refund of my $95?
Access to $300 credit right away, could stack with Marriott $60 back on $300 offer...
15k points for $1k spend...
50k free night next year...
Am I forgetting anything? Since I'd be opening before 2019, would the 15 elite night credit hit my account right away?
