I love credit cards so much!

@MrPTato I am definitely biased since we own at BCV, but I would definitely stay there with a 4 year old for the pool. Stormalong Bay is amazing! I think it is the best resort for a pool day. We stayed at BW this past summer and I love the Boardwalk area, but the clown pool is alittle creepy and not as big as the one at BC. Be sure and get ice cream at Ample Hills!

I waitlisted both..I want to stay in either but BC will be my first pick.

Ok crap I think I am experiencing first limitation of one Amex offer per card member. I added the Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites to my BCE card when it first appeared. Tried to add to my Hilton biz and it wont let me. How can I remove the card from my BCE and then add to Hilton biz??

Great to know. Thanks! Amazon will definitely work for us since I've been using Amazon gcs to buy Albertsons gcs for our grocery purchases. I've been buying the Amazon gift cards with 5x UR earning ccs, but *free* also works!
Same here. Been getting Amazon cards at Mobile gas stations with the 5x quarter bonus. Then get Stop & Shop gift cards on amazon.

Not nearly as exciting... when we ordered flowers for MILs birthday I added a balloon and it didn't show up. I just thought about it so opened a chat with 1800flowers... they are redelivering the balloon tomorrow and sending me a savings pass to use on my next order. I didn't care to argue with them over $6, I just didn't want to lose out completely, so it should be fun to hear from MIL tomorrow when she gets a balloon 2 weeks after her birthday :rotfl:

According to chat with Amex rep, it can't be moved from one card to another. Well that foils my plan for my next Hilton stay! I should have created a second login I guess

I totally understand not wanting dogs (they are toddlers who never grow up!) but my experience is that it's possible to travel with them, just an added consideration. I'm pretty sure our globe trotting @calypso726 has a dog or two. Again, don't want pets...I understand, and do not judge. Can't travel with pets, not my experience-in the past year I've been to Europe four times for more than a week at a time and I have four plus/minus a foster dog.

I am fortunate and have a great kennel for 2 of my dogs and a great dogsitter for the other 2, so yes, it's definitely an added expense on the vacation budget.

Long ago in a galaxy far ... oh wait, wrong train of thought. I did have dogs some years ago. I used to show and breed champion Golden Retrievers. I had even met the qualifications needed to become an AKC judge for the breed but decided to pursue a different path. After the last of my four legged kiddos crossed the Rainbow Bridge, my work schedule reached a point that it would have made having another dog far too challenging to balance and unfair to the dog. So, we have been dog less for a few years now. I don't see a dog in our future unless I switch careers or retire. But even when I had dogs it wasn't too hard to travel. The dog show community lends itself to many reliable contacts for dog sitting services so there was always a half dozen people or more I could call to dog sit. I did it for others as well many times.

Ok ladies (or anyone else)...which has the better pool(s) and things to do? No park...just Disney Springs and hotel. BC or BW? My 4yo loved the pool at BLT in May and it was pretty basic. Thinking about maybe doing a character breakfast before heading to port. Cape May?

BC hands down. We've stayed at both a number of times and much prefer BC as does our extended family when we bring them along. There are kids on both sides of our extended families and the kids prefer BC too. Our last 3 DVC contracts were at BC since we loved it so much there especially during F&W festival. That said, I do love walking over to the BW side in the early evenings to watch the street performers.

Nope, that pool is creepy! Boardwalk is beautiful and I love the (cheap seats) garden view...but don't swim when I'm there.

It's worse in real life, I think...it's like a creepy clown monster waiting to eat happy children. Thanks, Stephen King :sad1:

OMG my thoughts exactly. Every time I see it, I think of Pennywise, the clown "We all float down here" *shudders*

This is exactly what I think of every time I see that creepy clown on the slide. Ugh, I love the theme of that pool otherwise but we've never stayed there cause we spend a lot of time at the pool and I'd not bring on Pennywise nightmares on my vaca!

Thanks! I must have just never paid attention to it in the past. Fingers crossed for Slinky Dog Dash... Looks like nobody is getting ToT and RnRC anymore. I looked at 30 days out earlier and there were early morning times available for ToT. Fine with me because I could ride that all day long!

I did my FPs for my mid-Oct trip and could not get SDD for the first three days of my trip and TP is saying crowd levels are in the 2/3's. Someones wrong...

Heads up for my fellow DMV-ers: the Chase Total Checking $300 bonus is now available in DC and NoVA. Previously, because there were no nearby branches, it was not possible to open this account online. I was just now able to do it, and the $300 bonus was attached.

This apparently is one of the quickest posting and most consistent bonuses, and is well worth it.

Just did this bonus. Opened end of Feb, bonus posted in March. Kept $1500 in to make it fee free for 6 months. Just closed it yesterday -6 months and 2 days after I opened. I didn’t even have to go into a branch, closed it by secure message. I simply told Chase that I had an unexpected bill that I needed to pay using the money just to make sure they didn’t think I was gaming them for a bonus.

Sorry, more questions since I noticed I can the Dolphin or the Swan for 1/2 of the cost of YC. I know it doesn’t get MDE service but do you get Extra Hours Entry? Can you charge to your room like the WDW resort? Which one is better? I shouldn’t have checked the UR portal, which, of course, doesn’t have the WDW resorts showing.

Does it work for MD also?

You can't charge to your room, you don't get magicbands/use them to open the room door, but you get Extra Magic Hours.

Thanks! HS has EMMH so that would be perfect since we can just walk there. Any preference between the two resorts?
Dolphin has full size beds and Swan has queens. We've only stayed Dolphin because it was less points when we booked and we've gotten a king room usually. Swan is smaller from my understanding. Others here have down Swan.
