The 5yo also keeps saying she wants to visit "the jungle" - I figure this is as close as she's going to get for quite a while, so this will be her jungle.
My son was all volcanoes when we were in Costa Rica. We weren’t actually very close to any volcanoes, so we kept pointing to mountains in the distance “Oh look, a volcano”. Now 5 years later, he says no Hawaii vacations because volcanoes are too scary.

Anyone have the iPhone 6/7/8Plus? Is it way too big for comfort? I love the size of my iphone 5 and honestly wish they would make a new one the size of the old 4.
I went from 5 to 6s last year. It seemed a little big at first but now it’s comfortable. It is a bit big in my lab coat pocket though. DS uses the old 5 as an iPod and I think, how did I ever see anything on that tiny thing?

Hi everyone. I just bought a new home and will be spending about $5000 on appliances, etc. Thinking of opening a new card. Here's my recent history: Opened the CSP in April of 2017, down graded it to the Freedom a few months ago. Opened both the SW Plus and Premier cards in June of 2017 and cancelled the Premier a few months ago. Opened the Chase Ink Preferred in March of 2018. So 4 Chase cards since April of 2017. Should I try for another Chase or go for something else? Amex has sent me some offers that I haven't really paid attention to because I was planning on cooling it for awhile. Should I try for the CSR so I can transfer my 90,000 UR's from my Ink to that? Not sure what my chances are since I recently downgraded the CSP. Are there any other good options out there? That CSR AF scares me a bit :)

I am 6 hrs into our 7 hr drive. Did I just recently say I prefer driving to flying??? Oy Driving back on Sunday then doing it again in 2 weeks. May need to rethink things. Like go back and change where she picked for college.

I was a 12 hour drive away but only did that for a weekend once, otherwise anything shorter than a week I flew home. I'm sure the drive sucks and is boring, but if she's happy there hopefully it's worth it. There was only one school closer to home that had the degree I wanted but I wouldn't have been happy there.

You can't get the CSR because you got the CSP bonus within the past 2 years. I would go for an Amex, either biz or personal.

Yikes!
I was feeling optimistic after a quick disboards transportation board search. Sounds like a frontier/spirit situation.
Ugghh, guess I will have to do the 14k each way for Southwest. Maybe they will drop them at some point.

They started as a charter airline that turned to scheduled flights when there wasn't as much need for charter flights. I've never heard anything good about them and if you google for reviews you won't find much positive about them. Cheap can be good but if it's only one flight per day and something happens then what? I would rather save elsewhere and fly an airline I know can get me where I need to go if something happens with the flight I was supposed to be on. I wouldn't fly Frontier, but I would fly Frontier before I Sun Country any day.

Came home to the Marriott Premier Plus in the mail today, which was approved on 8/8. Just scheduled a Plastiq payment on it, which will knock out the MSR in one shot. My fastest completed MSR ever. I’ve already sockdrawered the card.

I have about $1k left on my wife’s Hilton Biz $5k MSR, and $8.5k left on my Biz Plat $10k MSR.

Did I see @speedyfishy working on $32k in MSR? You’re a monster! (In the best sense.)

It was a mistake! lol I’m about 9k in right now.

So vacation had been interesting so far. Took the train from the station near our house the 2.5 hours to the Sea airport. But, being that this was my first time on a train I guess I didn't realize the stops weren't a formal "we're here! You can get off now!" situation. Soooo were missed our stop. Luckily the guy behind us who realized what we did told me I could pretty easily take the light rail over. Except lil ol' country girl me got off at that station in downtown Seattle (with kids and luggage in tow) and had ZERO clue how to get to the light rail from the train station. It's really close but having never been there I was lost and panicking. Finally got there after some SOS calls to the BFF. Luckily we had a early train sms plenty of spare time so we mad ine it to the airport with 4 hours to spare but low and behold, Jetblue doesn't staff the luggage counter until 6pm. So instead of having hours in the Centurion I've been hours on random wrong trains and waiting I chairs besides an empty baggage counter :charac2:

Hoping you get in to relax, eat and drink a little.

I always find navigating lounges easier when traveling lite. At SFO, the Centurion Lounge is in Terminal 3, but the terminals are not connected airside. It’s convenient when flying on United through Terminal 3, but not so much on other airlines in other terminals because you’ll need to pass through security twice. TSA Precheck helps speed through security. When flying Southwest out of Terminal 1, Southwest has a similar policy of not accepting check-in baggage until 4 hours before departure. And if you have checked-in luggage upon arrival, it’s hard to enjoy a quick break in the lounge even if it’s right there because you’re rushing to pick up your bags.

Anyone fly sun county airline? They just announced coming to BNA starting in Nov and will have nonstops to mco.

Looks like with bags and seat selection total round trip is $150 for our dates.

We used Sun Country out of MSP for years. I would be using them still if I hadn’t started the travel hacking. I never had a complaint.

New card alert!!! Approved for Barclay's Biz AA!!

Makes 7 cards this year ; still only 1/24.

What’s the scoop with barclays? Do the biz cards report to your personal credit? How are they with ‘biz’ approvals?

Congrats too!

That sucks, but you're there now and hopefully the rest of the trip makes up for it!
