I love credit cards so much!

I'm thinking about referring DH to the Marriott card before it goes away. Those points would be enough to get us a flight and hotel package which seems like a great deal although we don't have an immediate plan for them. He is 3/24 CSR July 2017, CIP - Oct. 2017, SPG Business March 2018, Cap 1 Venture February 2018, and SPG April 2018. I guess it has been quite awhile since he has applied for a Chase card so we should be ok right?

I don't think the Marriott cards have referrals right now. :( But if you can pull up a link let us know.

Good for you! I got the same 30 day message yesterday, but when I called in this morning to check on my status the recording said I was approved, and I stayed on the line to talk to a rep so that I could get expedited delivery and I should be getting my card in 1-2 days via UPS.

Automated status line is 1-800-432-3117, press #, then 3, then 1, and enter SSN. You can call as many times as you want. Good luck!
Thank you! Did you have to talk about your business to get the delivery? If you don't get expedited, what is the normal shipping time.. 10 days?

You need to just stop calling and emailing, because that’s getting you nowhere. You need to publicly shame them into reaching out to you by posting your experience (including management’s failure to get back to you) on TripAdvisor, Facebook and Twitter.

That was going to be my next step. I was trying to be patient before unleashing on social media lol.

ETA: I also dont use FB. I’m on Twitter but have to figure out how to use it

I agree on the Trip Advisor and Twitter. I don't find fb to be that helpful.

After my Hyatt stay in Paris I got a survey from either Hyatt or the hotel that I completed because we'd had good help and I wanted to make sure it was noted since I forgot to do the card they leave in the room. The gm of the hotel emailed me a day or two later thanking me and asking if I'd submit the review on Trip Advisor. I'd never left a review on there but since I was asked I did. The same gm responded to the review about a week later.

I would start with twitter but do both. I've had better luck on twitter getting flights updated on Iceland Air than on fb, it was done in an hour or two on twitter and I didn't get a fb message for several hours. I think companies pay more attention to twitter because when you tweet at them more people see it than if you post something on their fb wall. I'm guessing it was this one in Anaheim - @HyattHouseAnahe ‏ Yes it cuts off at the e I didn't miss copying part of it :-)

No business questions at all. I had to verify name and address, that's all. I don't recall how long it takes normally, it's been almost a year since my last Chase application, but I'd guess 10 business days sounds about right.

Keep checking the automated status line. When you hear that you’ve been approved, call CIP customer service at 1-800-945-2028 and ask that the card be expedited. No questions about your business. Chase will send your new CIP, likely, via UPS express, and you should have it within 2 business days.

It was actually the Hyatt House in Carlsbad. We were booked at the one in Anaheim but ended up switching to the Hojo before the trip (so glad we did!).

ETA: I also got the follow up email from Hyatt about our experience. I've not taken their survey. Was hoping to resolve this first.

Well that's not great! I don't know why I thought it did. The 100k offer is still pretty good though.

Oh wait, no I'm wrong. Did you get one of the Premier Plus cards recently? That's got a link, but the Biz and regular Premier are still link-less.

Do you know if Chase will expedite the CIC also?

I didn't ask for mine expedited, but several others here did and Chase will expedite the CIC!

ETA: CIC customer service line is the same as CIP: 1-800-945-2028.

I can't find one for there so I would try @HyattConcierge

I would do it anyway, it may help get it resolved. I would just make sure to include any good with the bad.

I posted on the 15th I was approved, but I think it was after midnight so I likely got approved on the 14th. My card arrived on the 21st. I did not expedite because we were leaving for Disney and I had bought gift cards for spend.

Thank you, I think I may gamble this deal will last, until the late fall when I will have a Chase card I can use for funding, to help meet MSR. That works right? Would hate to open it now, when it could be used for that later. I only have an AMEX to meet MSR on these days.

I think PNC has been running the deal for awhile so I’d def wait until you have a chase card. I’ve opened five accounts with three different Chase cards and it has worked. Set your cash advance limit below 2,000 just incase something changes.

Ok I need some advice as a follow up to my earlier post...

Should I intentionally abandon my 5/24 status? I'm currently 3/24, plus have two Chase business cards (marriott and CIP). DH also has a CIP and CIC. DH will double dip CSR/CSP in September or October and I'll PC my then one year old CSP to CFU. So there aren't really any other UR earning cards for me other than CIU, which I'm not particularly bothered about getting at this time. My only other real interest in Chase cards would be the personal Marriott card or United cards. DH is only 1/24 so he could get these cards for us after his double dip. I'm worried about being in shutdown territory since I'm 4/12 with Chase including my business cards.

Vacation plans are WDW- 2019, Tokyo- 202, UAE- 2021.

Other cards I'm interested in:
I've gotten several mailers on AA, and AA is the next most reasonable option for flights to Tokyo after using United miles to transfer to ANA. AA seems pretty easy to accrue and has more card options across Citi and Barclays it seems like. I also do not have any of the SPG cards, and would like to get those when the new offers come out (assuming they're decent) so I can have those for transferability. I also have NO MR earning cards.

Thoughts? Am I crazy for wanting to branch out and hit some of these airline cards so I can book award flights to Tokyo next year?

We’ve actually never left anything before that was worth calling about. My aunt is a TA and travels about 1/3 of the year. She said she’s left things all over, including cruise ships, and only once not had her items returned. So we were hopeful. I’m just amazed that the manager won’t call me back. That’s mind-boggling to me.
Idk if @hyattconcierge on Twitter might be of any help in getting you in contact with the manager, might be worth a shot?
