I love credit cards so much!

Did you have to pay a little extra for those seats, or were they just available with milesaver tickets?
Extra. $30/person. Consist with United’s approx $20/hour pricing on extra leg room seats. Fwiw AA used to include them in the more expensive Anytime Economy fares but stopped last year. I wasn’t sure about doing it until I read the seat pitch on these particular planes is 30”...

If you mean the free second driver for Insiders, I don't know about that, I get it free through Costco. I was just confirming you can check in online and add the 2nd driver.
Ooh. Got it. Yeah that’s what I meant. Thanks for the clarification!

I usually do too but after telling us our rooms would be right next door (no connecting ones), at check-in, they gave us rooms down the hall from each other. The going back and forth and packing up for 6 people was a lot, and I think that is why these items got missed :sad1:

I called the hotel within two hours, as soon as we realized, and they said nothing was found. Called back that night, and twice more since. Same answer...which is a bunch of hooey, cause there is no question that we left them there. I have asked twice for the manager to call me but she won't return my calls. Emailed her this morning. This was our first, and last, Hyatt House stay.

You need to just stop calling and emailing, because that’s getting you nowhere. You need to publicly shame them into reaching out to you by posting your experience (including management’s failure to get back to you) on TripAdvisor, Facebook and Twitter.

You can open it from any state for the funding and there have been reports of people getting the bonus without being in a target state but it is YMMV.
Thank you, I think I may gamble this deal will last, until the late fall when I will have a Chase card I can use for funding, to help meet MSR. That works right? Would hate to open it now, when it could be used for that later. I only have an AMEX to meet MSR on these days.

Thanks, Lain. If I used the Amex $30 off $60 a couple of months ago, can I get that again, or was that a one time deal?

You probably won’t be able to use it again so soon, but they do occasionally refresh and you can qualify again. It’s been a while since I was eligible for that kind of promo again.

The Amex pay with points deal I was posting about is specific to Kindles and Fires. I think the $30 off $60 deal you mentioned applies to any item sold by Amazon.

Wow, so sorry about DD's lost belongings. I can't believe they haven't even returned your call, that's unacceptable!
I can!! I am guilty of leaving stuff in hotel rooms. Always call and have never once had items found. It’s magical how they disappear every time no matter the hotel (chain, Universal, Disney). iPhone charger, Swim Suit, merchandise...

Fwiw I was the oddball who got my account opened last year but couldn’t get credit card funding to work. Make sure the name on the account EXACTLY matches your cc, it’s the only reason I ever figured might have been why it didn’t work for me.

Actually now that you say that I have never had anything found either. Last Disney trip my daughter left behind her elsa doll...they didn't have it. Sheraton didn't have a key I know I left on the bedside table...hmmmmm

Good to know, thank you!

We’ve actually never left anything before that was worth calling about. My aunt is a TA and travels about 1/3 of the year. She said she’s left things all over, including cruise ships, and only once not had her items returned. So we were hopeful. I’m just amazed that the manager won’t call me back. That’s mind-boggling to me.

That was going to be my next step. I was trying to be patient before unleashing on social media lol.

ETA: I also dont use FB. I’m on Twitter but have to figure out how to use it

Wow. I left my Kindle in the night stand on the Magic in October and called right away. They opened a lost and found ticket and then I had to wait and see since the boat was sailing out of NYC and all the lost and found has to process through Orlando. Sure enough 2 weeks later I got a call that they had it and 2 days later (I live in Orlando so it was quick) it was back with me.
I've even had DCL call me to tell me they found a charger I hadn't even yet realized was missing.

I pressed submit on my CIP finally!! :scared1: I used a support link.. hard to choose b/c so many of you have been helpful but I'll spread the love around with my next applications! In the end I didn't put a very high revenue.. I just wasn't comfortable going too far and I figure I would rather be denied than worry about it. So if I don't get approved, its fine. I'll move on to plan B! I'm not a risk-taker in case you couldn't tell!!! :)

It says now they will notify me by mail in 30 days... should I call in a few days and see? I really can't wait 30 days.. I need to book this DVC rental around July 23.

The waiting is exciting!!! My first major post-divorce decision. :) Thanks for holding my hand through it! :grouphug:

I'm thinking about referring DH to the Marriott card before it goes away. Those points would be enough to get us a flight and hotel package which seems like a great deal although we don't have an immediate plan for them. He is 3/24 CSR July 2017, CIP - Oct. 2017, SPG Business March 2018, Cap 1 Venture February 2018, and SPG April 2018. I guess it has been quite awhile since he has applied for a Chase card so we should be ok right?

Congrats on hitting submit! The 30-day message is more the norm than not. Don't call unless you are ready to defend your business. Just be patient and let the app ride. In the mean time, you can do what I do and incessantly call the automated status app line: 1-800-432-3117. Prompts to check app status are #, 3, 1, enter ssn#

Good luck!

Looks like I’m planning a sudden trip out west from Baltimore for July. We’ll be flying into Phoenix to visit my SIL for a couple of days then driving to Disneyland for a few nights and finally driving to San Diego to fly home. Last time we went to DL we stayed at Disneyland Hotel, is that still a good option? Any suggestions on a hotel in San Diego?

Good for you! I got the same 30 day message yesterday, but when I called in this morning to check on my status the recording said I was approved, and I stayed on the line to talk to a rep so that I could get expedited delivery and I should be getting my card in 1-2 days via UPS.

Automated status line is 1-800-432-3117, press #, then 3, then 1, and enter SSN. You can call as many times as you want. Good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What wonderful news to come home to! I guess second time’s a charm?
:yay::cool1:party::banana::cheer2:

This is huge because I know you’ve been wanting this card from the start! I see a lot of gift cards going on this card! I’m thinking you reduced DH’s CLs and the difference is there was time enough for the change to reflect on his credit reports? Anyway, good going!

This was great news to come home to! And yes, I wanted this card more than the CIP (just wanted the CIP bonus more lol...). I think the credit limits were the problem. I'll be more proactive about keeping those in check in the future. All info on the app was identical to the previous app.

Yep, same here. The only thing I recall we actually got back wasn't at a hotel, it was a London cabbie found hubby's month old BlackBerry and drove back to the office to give it back to him. (yeah dating myself a bit :) ) Actually I had a London cabbie drive back to me and found me in a restaurant because he thought I left an umbrella in the back. I felt so bad because it wasn't mine, I don't know why but I assumed it was his for the cab otherwise I'd have mentioned it to him. Ten years ago at least, London cabbies were da bomb. But hotels are pretty much lost causes, in our experience. We realized I had left a gold necklace in the room once after we got on a cruise. I spent 5 bucks calling from the ship that evening so they could check lost and found but surprise surprise, somehow not found. They tried to blame the next guest for taking it. I question their cleanliness if housekeeping didn't notice a gold locket in the middle of the nightstand before the next guest was given a room. ;)

Fwiw I was the oddball who got my account opened last year but couldn’t get credit card funding to work. Make sure the name on the account EXACTLY matches your cc, it’s the only reason I ever figured might have been why it didn’t work for me.

Another oddball here. I funded a PNC virtual wallet that appeared successful. For a good 5 days I had the charge on my CSR but then it randomly reversed. I called PNC to find out why and the rep claimed they didn't do it and tried to blame the CC. But I'm pretty sure a reversal like that comes from the seller. So for two weeks I had an account with $0 in it. Totally screwed up my plan but the charge was enough to go towards my spend requirement anyway. I was just happy they kept the account open even though no money ever actually opened it.

Just want to confirm you used your first and last name as your business name (nothing else fancy), and your SSN as the Tax ID number?

More often than not, these two things are the reason(s) why a Chase business application is denied for inability to verify and you’ll need to start all over again.

Good luck!
