True, pissing off potential “super-premium” customers doesn’t sound like the smartest move!most ppl believe there will be a transition period. Or else u gonna have a lot of pissed off customers...
0/8this one didn't go out very wide
You all keep quoting cheap SWA fares.... but let me tell you if you're flying somewhere at the peak season,it can get pricey! I just used for our upcoming trip 35k points per person to get to Orlando on Spring Break.....for a family of 4 thatsalottapoints!!! (fwiw,I usually pay about 5-8k each way off season) so it can happen. It caught my bro by surprise that's for sure(he can't say I didn't warn him lol) he figured he;d have enough for r/t for his fam, nope! he got at least one way on points tho so I did save him some cash.....(flights are at least 375 pp one way last I looked)
How would you know if you were targeted for the Chase Apple Pay thing? I feel like I have asked this before, but I have never gotten any email from Chase except to say Payment due, payment received. I also get the sign up for quarterly Chase Freedom email. Is there somewhere I am missing to sign up for promotional emails? I have looked through account settings and I don't see anything. Is there something on your actual Chase page that says you have been targeted or just the email?
We will be there in 2 weeks to see if for the first time. I hope they are still looking good!Have fun @calypso726. I see the blossoms are still not quite out yet but slightly further along then last week when we were there. My DD decided to drive there this weekend at the last minute hoping to see some. Make sure you see the Tulip Magnolias behind the Smithsonian Castle. They were gorgeous.
Can SPG points be moved to SW?Wow! Just saw that my 35k bonus points from the SPG Amex biz are in my Starwood account, which really surprised me. The statement that just closed has $5k and change on it. I did temporarily hit $7k+ in spend, but I had a very sizable return (which has posted) that has sent me back to around $6k total spend as of today. I'm fully planning to spend back to $7k and have oodles of time to do it, but I was not at all expecting those 35k points to post and transfer to my SW account the nano second after I hit $7k in spend without a statement close.

Ok, I am now inspired to see what hotels are available for next weekend since we are only an hour or so away. DS and I went in Aug and stayed at a Grand Hyatt that we loved, except for the price of parking. This is our first time too. Even though it isn’t quite peak bloom, I’m very glad we are seeing them! Here’s a pic of the Tidal basin today.

Ah...ok!Sorry. SW referred to Starwood above, not Southwest.

That happened to me with all my iPhone X purchases and returns. It’s the purchases only that trigger the MSR, regardless of refunds; but you’ll still want to meet MSR factoring in refunds to make sure there’s no risk of clawback.
