I love credit cards so much!

Has anyone heard any more about this? I've read that it's targeted and I've also read people are thinking it might be anyone who has CSR, CSP, CF and CFU. I'd like to think DH and I could make a few extra points with this promotion.
Won't know until we get actual DPs. Hopefully the bonus posts as fast as previous bonuses so we can find out in the next week or so here!

I've got about $300 in Disney GCs currently, $50 in Disney Visa rewards, and about $300 I could convert this weekend before our trip to give me $650 total. About what I expect for food costs. I told DH that the other night, and he suggested saving them for our cruise and using SPG biz for everything to work on min spend. But I've only paid about $450 to get the $650 in GCs, so about 30% off, and we have a year to get more Disney GCs... Decisions, decisions...

@disneymagicgirl SO, I was hanging out with my boys at a friend's house today. Well, I forgot the snacks I was supposed to bring so I texted my dd17 and asked if she wouldn't mind running them over to us (she & my other dd have had sleepover after sleepover all week long - spring break here). She says their friends just left and they will head over. They drove right over and brought the snacks...and stayed...sat down with us moms and chatted. It was so fun! We had the best time, all four of us hanging out and chatting and snacking for like 2 hours. Later I told my girls how fun it was that they stayed there instead of just dropping the snacks and leaving and they said they had never planned to just leave and that...get this...they ENJOY hanging out with me and my friends!!! I texted my friend and told her and we both feel like such cool moms now :teeth: There really is something so gratifying about your teens WANTING to hang out with you.

DD is just 5 months, but this is my dream. I hope I get to be a cool mom.

It has been a long time coming. This time last year we couldn't stand each other. :p It took her going off to college for her to appreciate us and realize everything we do is because we love her. You know...that pesky parenting. lol

seems to work... im assuming your just getting the card just in case if it really goes away? i always think SPG points going to a ton of different airlines could help in the future.
SW sucks... :P
I have a friend with like 130k SW points... that couldnt even get her to where she wanted to go. lol. She was so pissed. UR helped her out a lot.
Im not familiar with SW though, do those transfer elsewhere? I like versatile points. ie MR, TYP, UR, SPG...
OMGoodness, no SW is the bomb. ha! I guess it depends where you are flying from. For us, they have direct flights to my frequent locations when no one else does. I also love the lack of nickel and diming. I can pack as much as I want etc. I tried to book another airline to Cali so we could fly into PSP last week and I got so annoyed with the booking process I said forget it. Booked SW and flew into ONT for a 70 min drive. So much easier!

Something to point on the CP for anybody chasing it: Earning it in January is nice...on paper. But what really matters is when do you plan to use it. If you don't have a trip with a flight planned until say April of 2019, then whether you earn it in January or March probably means little to you. Of course, perhaps you also wanted to use those points to book the flights too and there can be other nuance to the timing but I figured I'd point that out. Alternatively, if you had 3 flights planned in February, the goal to earn a CP in Jan means a whole lot more to you.

We always have gone to Orlando in late January and the years we were chasing a CP I just resigned myself to not using the CP for that trip since it took too much work to make it happen. Now that was easy for me to do since I was still getting the flight free with points I had, lol.

I've been pondering this as I was planning to earn 1/2019. Mine expired 12/17. However, we do most travel summer and fall, so I may go ahead with it. I missed using it for Cali last week, but I don't need it again now til summer. That will give us 2 for the rest of the year. Then DH will renew for Jan.

What do you mean "convert"?

I didn't realize it was targeted until I saw it here. I got it and only have a CF and CSR. Mine was for using my CSR for Apple Pay.

I got it too, I just have the CSR. Has anyone else enabled ApplePay but never used it? Was thinking maybe that was it...

Thanks. I know I have that written down somewhere. If I recall correctly we should apply around Oct., make ms by the end of Dec so points post in Jan correct? (We just want to make sure those points don't post in Dec.)
You could do that, or wait til 2019 to start if you want min spend points to count. If the offers are 50k, you'll have 10k points to make up so min spend could be handy for that. For us it will depend on the offers. If they're normal amounts, we'll wait until Dec/January to start... if they go up to 60k, we might start in November. I'm paranoid about the bonus posting at the right time :)

Forgot to mention, I did notice last night the referral offer on SPG Personal exp 4/15, public one doesn't have an exp date at all. What happens after 4/15 to the referral offer/card in general absolutely idk.
I feel like I read this on Reddit yesterday... and someone was speculating maybe the bonuses would go back up because the referral expiration was like Aug 2018 or something...

@jhoannam 20.5k got me a RT from Hartford to Oakland. I just can't imagine what routes would eat up so many points. Genuinely curious!

I don't want the SPG site to go away. I feel like if Marriott was smart, they would keep the programs separate and just allow transferring between. I feel like they could make more money that way.

Marriott has always wanted to integrate the 2 programs together for the longest time. Having 2 sites open is def costing them more money as they need 2 teams to operate it. They are taking their time. they do NOT want to piss off SPG's loyal customers.

edit: looks like the source is from the website backend team. They are told of a august 2018 finish date.

Its targetted. I already asked SM to see if i quality for any of my 3 cards. they told me no. I used my Freedom card quite a bit with apple pay so they probably know i use it so no need to give this guy a bonus. haha

I think its more that i dislike SW points over SW themselves. i rather earn UR than SW. maybe i understood it incorrectly with @SouthFayetteFan haha. my thoughts is that he would rather earn SW points before UR.

How can we not have any cards eligible for the Apple Pay thing out of 7 that we hold? Grrrr

If u really want to see, u can SM them and ask. I got declined though. :(

I don’t think Chase business cards are eligible, those are the only ones I haven’t been able to add.

Chase business cards cant be added to apple pay... :(

Where on earth was she trying to go?? 130K points is like 10 non-stop RT to Orlando for me!

The Bahama/Exuma. We couldnt generate a SW flight there. tried to reposition using SW but they fly to only Fort Lauderdale from the DC area(on business trip). all LLC were out of miami. It was also a time issue too...
2nd trip was to hawaii. SW... not yet... lol. shes using KE for that now.

Please tell me I’m not the only one to make medical decisions based on an msr.

Every spring when my allergies start acting up I think that I should find an allergist. I stopped going to my old one when we moved about 6 years ago.

This year I thought of all the cc points I could earn while being reimbursed through my hsa. I have an appointment for Tuesday. I restrained myself from finding a dr based on whether the office would take Amex.
