I need help. I've been selected to represent the US as an Umpire at the European Championships in Regensburg Germany. This will be my first international trip. Can anyone explain like I'm 5 what I need to know when travelling in Europe. I've already got the Passport and Global Entry. How much cash should I carry? Any credit card issues I should be aware of? Anything else I need to know? Any products that are suprisingly useful? I think I'm going to get an eSim for my phone to use while there, anyone have recommendations?

use your debit card at an atm to get euro's. better exchange rate. you can use your cc virtually everywhere. beer is heaper than water! I bought a glocalme hotspot device. with the esim your phone number changes. or depending n your arrier, their international plan may work. I buy sunscreen, face stuff etc when in europe, better stuff than in the USI'm going to Regensburg in October. I don't think I'm going to have time to explore outside of that area, I've basically got one day, but there will be six of us that will have to come to some understanding on what we are doing.
I stayed at Hotel Barocco in Rome. Close to Trevi Fountain. I was able to walk everywhere except the Vatican. There is also a metro stop right at the corner. Good breakfast and service.Does anybody have good places to stay in Rome, Venice and Florence? Starting to plan a trip to those 3 cities next summer and just looking for any recommendations from those who have been there. Thanks!
Thank you!!!!I stayed at Hotel Barocco in Rome. Close to Trevi Fountain. I was able to walk everywhere except the Vatican. There is also a metro stop right at the corner. Good breakfast and service.
In Florence I stayed at Golden Tower and Spa Hotel. Very walkable as well. Good breakfast and service here as well.
I booked both of these through the Chase Portal.
Enjoy Italy.

TBH I'm underwhelmed by this. The 1.5x is nice though.
yep we go out Friday nights usually, my guess is 2-3x a month still, dont think it's worth getting for that alone no mention of travel too so i bet its just the 1.5x. Also I bet its capped later like they did with hotel nights. Also they keep mentioning AA transfers with this card, although its nice I doubt its 1:1. If it counts towards status though that would be cool.Really only good if you always book through their 3rd party portal and only eat out on fri and sat nights after 6pm. That one is crazy and I don't think anyone thought it was serious or if it'll even work correctly with how things post.
Has anyone had weird issues with Hilton inventory lately? Their rooms have historically populated at 53 weeks out but now I'm seeing rooms that should be bookable sold out a year in advance, and there's no way that it's accurate.
That's what's weird, I'm not trying to book anything exotic. Just one night at BOS. It looks like they're taking reservations 324 days out which is super random. It depends on the hotel. Some don't open their calendar that early even though Hilton's is open. I see it more often for hotels outside the US. There's one I'm waiting on in Asia that's only open through March.
Anyone have a hack for using the Visa/MC GC when buying something (DGC) online? I tried registering the cards and Im still getting denied. I tried loading the card to PayPal and the cards denied and now show "unavailable" on PP site.
Are these Vanilla Visa? My grandmother was gifted one and, no matter what I tried, it kept getting denied online. She doesn't drive anymore, so I ended up loading a giftcard for her with my credit card and took the Vanilla to deplete in person.Anyone have a hack for using the Visa/MC GC when buying something (DGC) online? I was actually buying them via Topcashback because they are 5.67% cash back.Buy through target. I stopped using them in disneystore long ago. Been awhile since I've used one on target, but hadn't been an issue for me.
These are the Gold ones with the bow on top, I did also try a vanilla and that one didnt work either. Are these Vanilla Visa?
