How are we rebooking these now-- cancel and rebook? I can't convince my cheap DH to get anything but the basic fare so it's not changeable

That’s what my cheap self is doing. A couple of extra steps but manageable.

I usually pay for flights less than $100 and use points for flights over that just to stretch out points further and make sure I stay A list.

Juggling the expiring flight credits takes some more effort with only being able to use three forms of payment.

It's the lovely time of year for DW and I where tuition fees hit. Part of it will be covered by an Amex business gold bonus spend. The rest was supposed to be covered by the Capital One spark cash offer. However I was declined. So I went to Chase. I was approved for another CIU. I rolled the dice for DW and she was also approved for another CIU. We both had two active Chase business cards when we applied. The bonuses along with the support for both applications will give us more Chase points than we would have gotten cash with Capital One and the spend requirement is less. Also, I should be able to get both bonuses posted and transferred to my CSP before October 26.

when was your last ink app? or chase app....I'm considering giving it another go

It seems so expensive for what it is especially if we get fast track tickets and I’m thinking we would need to.

Our other thing we can’t decide is what time to schedule the Tower of London. We’re doing it our first morning but idk if we’ll be up at 9 am to get the first time slot. We land in London at 8 pm the night before and I’m sure we won’t be asleep until 11 or 12.

We could spend the entire DAY at the Tower of London. And one day, we will !!!!

The spa here is my favorite spa ever. I even used some Hilton credits for a $125 Kiolani Spa Wheat branded T-shirt. DH was not happy lol The spa check in staff remembered me by name when I returned. The space was recently renovated and the hydrotherapy gardens were amazing.

I've had success doing this. Make sure the booking is for 2 people, add your name as an additional guest, then call hotel and let them know that you'll be checking in because dh is arriving later, ask them to notate it on the reservation. I've had success doing this in N. America and Italy, but YMMV in Europe and I would not try this in Japan. Of course dh never arrives -- I've never been asked, but if I was I'd have just said that his flight was delayed.

Yes! That’s it! It’s made in America and “eco friendly” I bought it because it is soooooo soft. The lady at the spa was telling me what trees it was made from. Sounded fancy. Maybe I was bamboozled lol The normal T-Shirts are around $100 so I spent $25 for the spa logo lol I have been living in it. Gotta get my monies worth lol But 10/10 would recommend spending Hilton credits on them again.

I've been looking at this card with the incoming CSR changes and with the 5 FNC ending July 16, I guess I need to decide soon! A question about those FNC expiration dates: I'm thinking of using them during a planned August 2026 trip. If I apply for the card now (in July 2025) will my 5 FNC expire 12 months after the card was opened or 12 months after the certs were issued? Just want to make sure I can use them for this trip if I apply now!

it will be after they are rewarded. So if you don't hit the spend on the sign up bonus until 9/15 and are given the FNCs on 10/15, they will expire 10/15/2026.

I love those 5 FNCs for Disneyland trips. Element hotel is a great option. Always been under 50k points, 10-15 walk, free breakfast and big rooms.

Just a datapoint to those who got the $50 travel credit on their CSP/CIP recently: I got an email about it for my CSP, but did NOT get the email on CIP. I just used the credit on my CSP for an airport transfer in Asia. After that, I went into my CIP and booked two attractions (a Skydeck in Vietnam and Changi Jewel in Singapore), and another $50 credit showed up for the CIP as well! So even if you didn't get the email, it seems like the $50 credit shows up for both if you hold both cards. Both purchases were under $50 by a few dollars, so I forfeited something like $7 remaining on the credits, but I'm fine with that since it saved me around $90 oop.

It’s currently 10:40 pm here. We’re waiting on room service and then hoping to sleep. Ds has tons of energy because it feels like 5:40 pm to him. He did great on the plane and in the airport. We chose to take a car service to the hotel which was great. Ds was pretty delirious and at one point laughed continuously at nothing for about 10 minutes straight The driver probably thought we were crazy lol
