I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Seeing mixed messages on reddit as to whether they ding your credit for a HP even if you get the pop-up about no SUB and decline to proceed.

Also early DPs seem to suggest that you will not get the CSR sub if you are >5/24 or if you already hold a CSP. If that is the case then I certainly won't be applying.

Looks like they added once in a lifetime language... For bonuses
I wonder if it is really lifetime or like AMEX timeline of about 7 years.

I don't plan on signing up for another CSR anytime soon but my bonus was in 2016 so I would hope I would be eligible if I ever decide to get it again.

Good lord, my CSP points are pending already, so I just realized I am without an MSR. Seriously how do I do that? I think we are tapped on Chase, since these spends went fast. Now to find something else ASAP.

I can't even wrap my head around all these Chase changes. I have one last trip booked with URs @ 1.5X, we booked 3 rooms for 9 nights in Italy for 230k URs.

I don't even know what card to get next. I have Norway flights covered with MRs and AA miles, but that's it.
I was thinking about Bonvoy, but that won't help in Norway. I'm thinking just a cash back business card.

Not sure where you are staying in Norway, but choice hotels are a great option there so that card could be useful. Pivot from what we normally talk about but it's on my radar for an eventual trip there.

Omgosh the spend on the CSR biz card is $30k over 6 months. Who is going to be the first to sign up?
Definitely not me. The math doesn’t math for me and that’s an extraordinary amount of couponing to keep track of for a year. You get 6.67 points per $ spent. I’d sooner get an Ink Preferred which gets you 11.25 points per $ spent at 90k bonus. If you have a bonus from referring P1 and P2 to each other then that’s 13.75 points per $ spent.

Thank God you posted this. I thought that it was only me.

I could do it if I can still use PayPal for federal tax payments. I know only one of the two companies currently allows business cards at the normal rate, and that’s only through PayPal.

I got the $50 email also, does anyone see it in their account anywhere?
I got the $50 credit with my CIP, but dd's e-mail didn't mention the $50 credit. I wonder how they decided who got it and who didn't or if it was just random?

Agree. The better play would be P1 and P2 each get CIPs, but with possible PUJ, who knows how these cards will evolve. For me, URs are the best currency. If they were to get harder to access I can see myself staying at small 3* and 4* independent hotels more and more. I'm rarely in my room when I travel except to eat, sleep and shower so I don't need fancy, just clean, cool (as in strong a/c) and quiet (emphasis on quiet lol). The only exception would be somewhere like the Maldives, but I'm not a beach person and at this point I can't see myself going back.

Speaking of strong a/c I haven't posted my thoughts on my stay at the Verride Palacio de Santa Catarina in Lisbon (hint: it did not have strong a/c). Ugh. I would never stay there again -- so many things went wrong with my stay and after sheer perfection at the Grand Hotel Victoria Lake Como it was a real letdown.

IIRC Choice had by far the most options in Norway, but we ended up paying cash when we traveled there because the points deals were really bad at the time. It's a lovely place to visit!

I found an useful calculator to see if you break even from all the CSR changes.

I'm still wondering about the edit, that's where ill net positive. Also for restaurants, I hope Orlando gets some love on this list eventually because then it would be easier to use vs trying to go to a spot when we are traveling just to use the credit.
