I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I wound up buying $25 physical GCs. There’s a limit of 2 per order but I had no problem placing 2 orders back to back. All are being delivered today and got the emails from Amex saying I’d triggered the offer.
i did the same hopefully this triggers it now I did a 50 and 2 25s if not I may give up 😂

OG Freedom is Visa, new is Mastercard. Costco gas doesn't take Mastercard and gas can be a quarterly cat so if that matters I'd try to find a rep who will get you the og Visa.
Thanks. I let my Costco lapse, so not a concern there. I saw a Freedom Unlimited and a Freedom Flex on the website?

The “OG” Freedom is only available for PC not new apps. It is a Visa with the 5% categories. If you need a Visa or already have the others you can ask for Freedom with Ultimate Rewards. I just did it Sunday and they offered CFF and CFU but I asked for the Visa with 5% categories and rep responded with “Oh the Freedom with UR.”

Thanks. I don't care Visa or MC, I have never had any Freedom card.

I completely spaced on my Amex office store credit. Does anyone know if I go today last day of month if I will get the credit for April or if will be for May since it wont post today?

If the transaction date posts as today, you should still get it for April. Probably more likely if you go in store. I don't see any downside to trying. If it doesn't work, you're just early for next month.

Would go to store but didnt feel like going for nothing. Just realized I have receipts saved I will compare buy date vs posting date.

Edit: checked posted date was same date as purchase. Thanks! Not sure why I didnt originally think to check my receipts

So I decided to finally try out the doordash credit from my csr today when I noticed that Shaw's (local grocery store) deli was listed under pickup. I ordered a rotisserie chicken and some potato salad which totaled $14.98. My $15 credits came off, so the total was zero. I didn't realize it would work this way combining the credits. Excited about my free meal, I went to the store deli (as instructed in the app) only to be told that they don't do doordash orders! They had no idea what I was talking about. I spoke to 3 different people at the store. Ugh. Thankfully, I wasn't out any actual money, but it was disappointing. I contacted doordash to let them know what happened. They called the store and then told me the store wouldn't fulfill the order. Supposedly doordash is going to restore the credits. As it's the last day of the month, I doubt it will matter. Oh well. No chicken dinner for me.

last stupid question. There are two Freedoms, does it matter which one?
It just matters if you are going to spend with the card or it turning into a sock drawer card just to use for Chase Offers

Original Freedom and Freedom Flex are similar in that they offer 5% in rotating categories that you have to sign up for.
Original Freedom offers 1% back on everything else but is a visa so if you get a rotating category that only takes visa (warehouses & Gas for costco for example) this would work.
Freedom Flex is a MC and also offers 1% back on everything else and 3% for Dining and Drugstores and 5% on the Chase Travel Portal.
Freedom Unlimited has no categories and earns 1.5% back on everything except for 3% for Dining and Drugstores and 5% on the Chase Travel Portal.

You said you no longer have costco so the Original freedom doesn't really matter but if you rejoin you could use a CFU instead to get 1.5%

Most people have other cards that have 3x for dining and since you will be reapplying for the CSP you would get it back on that card that is also many people would go the Visa route whether it is the OG Freedom or the Unlimited.
