I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Wow I picked the wrong time to start with Pepper. I did $75 at Amazon a few days ago for the Amex offer. Last night I did another 50 because I had a boosted offer. I haven't met the $200 for the support offer yet. Not sure I want to now. Not sure what to do. I might buy Sams just get the support offer then stop.

We use Sams GC at Walmart to buy DGC. But I also like Sams since they can be used at Walmart or Sams.

Ugh, tried again twice for an AmEx retention offer and still getting 35k MR for $4k spend. Anyone get the 50k MR for $4k spend? That's what I'm hoping for, but wondering if perhaps it's not in the cards for me. The rep today was especially annoying because he insisted on going over every.single.benefit of the card in painstaking detail before telling me the offer. I did chat once but it took forever because the response times were so slow.

If I am holding points reservations booked using a points advance, would those booking prices go up if I don't put down the points in March?

MCO Hyatt Regency slipped up to Cat 5 :(

Wowza, Grand Hyatt Kauai is a Cat 8. I haven't checked in on that in a while...

ETA- as usual a couple hotels dropped a category so do check your currently booked hotels
The GHK moved to a Cat 7 two years ago. While we love it and it's our go to in Hawaii, it's showing its age, and I find it hard to believe it's on the same level as the Alila Ventana Big Sur, PH Sidney, PH Paris Vendome, and all of the other top tier Hyatt's out there (most of which I've never been to).

I think I finally made a decision on my 50th birthday. Princess has a 7-day Mediterranean and Adriatic cruise on the Enchanted Princess. I'd fly to Paris for two nights and then on to Rome for the cruise. I know nothing about Princess so I need to figure out which cabin catergory and whether to add Princess Premier but otherwise I'm ready to book!

I think that this is a great decision! This is similar to what I did last year to celebrate my special birthday too! We flew into Paris, went to DLP, back to Paris central for a several days, went to London for two days on the speed train, back to Paris for several days then onto Barcelona on the not-so speed train, and then hopped aboard the Sun Princess for a cruise through the Med which ended up in Rome.

We have sailed Princess four times, and our go-to has been the mini suites.

Hubby doesn't drink so we don't add Princess Premier because if there are only two people sailing in the stateroom both have to have the Princess Premier. It's kinda "the law" for Princess (and I personally think that it's a sucky law, but oh well).

I've also looked at those 7 day Med and Adriatic. I think I have one "hearted" in my profile for looking at for next year.

I'm really excited for you!! I hope that you continue to post so that I can read along as you go.

We don’t drink either but I do drink soda. I probably need to do the math:) and I’ll check out the mini suites. Planning to call chase travel on my way home tonight—super excited!

Was there a deal on AA to NZ? We are flying from Sydney --> Auckland, but I haven't booked the flights yet. Guess I should get on that now.

I try not to worry about not having backup with me. I am fit and healthy and take all necessary precautions when I travel to limit risks. If I needed backup either my sister or ds could fly to wherever I am and my travel insurance would cover the cost of their flights and accommodations. There are places that I would not consider going solo such as Africa, parts of S. America, certain areas in Mexico, etc.

Destinations I go where my heart leads me; currently that is back to back to Japan next January, perhaps followed by a detour to Labjuan Bajo to see komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Also there are places that I'd like to visit again, such as Norway, Italy (can never get enough of Italy), Antarctica, London (trying for once per year or so), etc. I'd also like to visit Morocco, Iceland, Egypt and Churchill, MB (polar bears!!), to name a few places!
Awesome thanks! You're inspiring me to start planning now...

I just realized how awesome Alaska miles can be. I just booked DD and I on a direct AA flight, that would have cost us 15K AA miles for only 7.5K Alaska Miles. I earned 80K miles from the BOA Alaska Business card, now to get DH to be approved.
I have Hawaiian miles that are useless to me that I may transfer to Alaska. How do you book other airlines with Alaska Miles?
