Applied for the US bank Altitude connect - got the will contact you in 7-10 days.
Checked Chase preapprovals, I could get the Sapphire Preferred or Reserve (so no idea why Cap1 wouldn’t on the VentureX). Took the Preferred because of the elevated sign up bonus. Got a $25k line.

Cap1 is weird. The theory is that they like people who carry a balance. All our US Bank apps have gone pending (biz cards though), they took 1-4 days.

You'll probably be approved for the Connect, then you'll be 2/24. If you haven't gotten any other cards. Chase won't approve you once you get to 5 cards in 24 months that report to your personal credit report. Just mentioning in case you go for other cards.

Hope it comes through for you. US Bank is known for being difficult to get cards from, as is Cap1. In the past people have said that having an existing relationship with US Bank (like a checking account) helps, but I haven't kept track of recent DPs. Cap1 is also known to be picky with their approvals, and strangely it doesn't depend on how high your credit score is.

I think USB has loosened up a lot. The Altitude Reserve might still be hard, though I don't follow the personal cards closely. People on r/churning are going for multiple biz cards on the same day to get the combined pull. DH has been approved for 3 biz now (spread out) with no prior relationship. They seem to be inquiry sensitive, but you can get away with more if you have a relationship.

Is there any tricks to getting Chase to give you the 1 time no fee pay over time on new INK business cards? I tried making 2k purchase and then paying it off, then charged 6k and it's still not offering no fee. I have it on a personal card but I will only earn 1.5x instead of 3x points on that card.

Edit: the pay over time for no fee is no longer available on my personal card that had the offer a couple months ago. In another thread someone also reported the no fee option is also gone from their personal cards.

UGGH. Have large spend coming in 4Q, pulled 200K MRs for $20K spend but in PUJ. Why doesn't amex like me?>:(

I may wait and go for the CIU. I'm 5/24 until Dec. Is it safe to apply in Dec or wait until Jan? I hope the higher offer lasts that long. Any other good business bonuses out there?

12/1 for automatic approvals. Recon might go by the actual date. But there are very few successful recon DPs these days, so maybe it doesn't matter.

We get pop-up too and I feel limited by Chase velocity, so have branched out to US Bank biz cards. Only the Triple Cash biz is elevated right now though. $750 for $6000 spend, no AF. The Leverage biz is $750/$7500, but it was $900 at one point. The nice thing about the Leverage biz is the 2% top 2 categories. Their categories are super broad, it even covers taxes.

ETA: Close as many Chase biz cards as you can before you go for the CIU. It might be no more than 2 open for best odds these days.

Good to know. I've been thinking of opening a checking account with them for the bonus and then opening the new Smartly Visa 4% card (I would have to transfer assets to reach the $100K level for the 4%). Just to simplify our cc spend, as I'm not churning as much as I was before (having been denied Chase biz cards twice this year already also puts a damper on my enthusiasm; I really need to clean up my biz card count). An interesting thing I heard about the AR card from a poster on another forum is that PCs also can receive the SUB for the AR (but don't ask the csrs about it because they won't know, it's somehow hardcoded into the system and the time for MSR depends on the opening date of the OG card). They provided DPs from r/creditcards. It's intriguing.

I need recommendations for a new washer. Our Samsung broke. Anyone have a washer they love and has lasted awhile?
I have LG washer and dryer. Held up good to a family of 5. My first one had a slight mother board issue that I was able to override by unplugging for a couple of years.
In our new IL condo, I bought new LGs 3 years ago that I love. Much quicker than the model from 10 years ago!

It's so upsetting on so many levels (like value for money, plus garbage and the environment) that so many large appliances are lasting for about 5 years and can't be repaired. Something is very, very wrong. I have a Maytag that I've had for over 20 years and it's been great but I hear they don't make them to last any more. If it goes, I'm planning to replace it with a Speed Queen because that is what so many of my friends recommend for long-life and durability.

Which Ink? Aren’t the CIC and CIU offering 0% interest for first 12 months? Mine are.

We ended up ordering a GE from Lowe’s. We tried choosing one that was cheap but still had good reviews. I guess we’ll see if we like it or not. It’s coming on Thursday

When was your last Chase card before the CIU? If it was say in January, -maybe- I'd consider it. But if it was in March, I'd wait longer.

I used to think no more than 3 open Chase biz was pretty safe, but have been seeing quite a few denials with 3 open lately.
So, what is good timing now for the Chase Biz cards? My last approved CIU was in early May, 2024, and before that one, was early December, 2023. I applied for another CIU in August 2024, was passed the 90 day mark and got a denial. At the time of the denial, I had 5 Biz cards open, 1 CIP, 3 CIU, and 1 United Biz. Read through the forum and saw discussion on denials if to many Biz cards were open. I closed the United card, and 1 CIU. I tried for a new CIU over the weekend and got another denial with having 3 Biz cards open. The reason given was too many requests for credit or opened accounts with them, and insufficient business revenue. I can close another one in early December to then only 2 open. Is there also a sweet spot for the revenue amount vs the number of years the business has been open?

Just for info, Player 2 opened a CIU in June 2024 and got another in September and had 3 open Biz cards at the time.

Thanks
JJ

I think 90 days is still good. What seems to matter the most now is the number Chase biz cards open. No more than 3 seemed good, but something might have changed recently and maybe it's 2 now. Keeping your total Chase CL low (personal and biz) might help too. P2 being approved in Sept, maybe the change happened after that or maybe 3 is okay for them.

How soon after you canceled the cards did you apply? It's not really known how long it takes for the change to be reflected for approvals. I wonder if immediately or couple days is not enough. I waited a week before and it seemed to work.

Credit limit across all cards was lowered for better approval odds, and it was more than a week after closing, over 3 weeks.
