I have 2 CIC. One was from a PC from a CIP. I also have the free, premier and biz IHG. But I feel there is a clause if you have the $49 one, you can't get SUB on the others anymore. You might need to read the fine print.
I see this on both the free and premier card, does this mean people cannot get two IHS personal cards at all anymore?

This product is available to you if you do not have a current IHG® Rewards Credit Card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months. This does not apply to Business Card Credit Card products.

Unfortunately, I think that is now true.

I got a notification from Chase that they are going to close one of DH's CIC's due to inactivity if he doesn't use it soon. Is there any benefit, credit wise, to proactively closing it or just let them close it due to inactivity? He's had it since May 2020 and we have 3 other CIC's between us so there really isn't a need for it.

Plus, I can't help myself so today applied for the 80,000 +$95 Barclays Biz AA offer. Immediate approval with a larger than expected CL - $12,600. Then applied for the 80,000 +$99 Barclays JetBlue offer - that one went pending - said answer in a week. I'm going to wait it out to see what they come back with, but hoping I can recon and split the CL form the AA card to get both approved. We'll see.
I jumped on the Barclays Biz AA last night too. Then, I remembered they had started reporting to personal credit bureaus back in February. Would be curious if that's still taking place (I'm at 4/24, but one card is dropping off in June anyhow) or if your future Chase apps are impacted by Barclays Biz.

I opened one last month and it did not report to my credit.

No DPs reported after that brief period in Feb. There we also reports of the cards being removed from the CR for those that were affected.

I think it was a glitch and not a new policy. Kinda like not charging renewal AFs for 6 months. They finally got around to fixing that glitch this week. Fortunately it seems like they fixed the other one quicker!

It's theoretically possible that it might make a difference on a manual review, but since it only reports to Biz CRAs, I highly doubt it's going to matter.

State Farm came in $1600 cheaper than geico/rli for auto and umbrella. Very happy because after the fridge breaking, dog getting sick, buying a garage fridge, tax bills, etc. I feel poor!

And my luggage tags are coming from Disney cruise today. So excited.
I'm with State Farm and have been since 1989. I was with them prior to that also but on one of our moves, they did not underwrite in the state we lived in then, so we had to switch for a few years. I started to post that my umbrella policy was about $120 a year. But, sometimes it's the terms that make a difference in cost so online unless someone spells out the coverage it's difficult to compare.

In prior years I've had Geico quotes and it's always been too expensive and higher than SF.

I know Hyatt waives resort fees on free night awards, is that just free night certs or does that include points bookings? Curious before I book it

Has anyone done a Ticketmaster verified fan platform thing? Can I be on both the Amex verified list and the general verified list? I can't seem to find an answer to that. Follow up, can dh (with a separate Ticketmaster acct) be on the general list?

Harry Styles, 5 nights, I'm trying. This seems stressful. Assuming I get past this first round, it's still first come first serve.

Does anyone here purchase annual travel insurance? And if you do, what do you like or dislike about it.

I'm kind of tired of having to rush to get insurance every time I book a trip abroad (and the rush to do it before the pre-existing conditions clause kicks in).

It’s points bookings as well. We just stayed in a club room at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai (gorgeous resort and friendly staff) on points and it was so nice not having to pay the $40/night resort fees.

Awesome, I figured that was the case. Now I just need to find out why you can't book it from Jan 1 and March 9, available to book through end of Dec. I want to book it the 16-19 but not if there's a chance it won't reopen or whatever, though their site said they did a refresh in 2018. Only found out when I was trying to book the wrong weekend :rotfl2: But it's a cat 3 and resort enough that it'll work vs more points and a split stay.

All packed for a 2 week trip (maybe 3) to Germany using my Away bigger carry on and everywhere bag. No checked luggage! Thanks to this group I was able to get them using my CSR PYB and the coupon! Just got an email that my United flight from Houston to the east coast my be delayed or canceled due to thunderstorms. Going to take my chances since I’m meeting up with my sister in Dulles who has never flown to Europe. If we get delayed a day or 2, not the end of the world. She’s doing carry on only also! Leaving tomorrow!😊

I haven't done a verified fan thing like they are doing for this one. In the past when I've done it, it's been a much quicker timeframe between verified and ticket purchase. I'm trying for this too as my YDD would be in heaven if I can pull this off. I think even with the verification, it will be luck of the fastest internet to get tickets. I did like that you ranked your dates in the verification. Maybe that will help.

Also thinking about getting the Barclays Biz AA. Our last Barclays AA card was opened 3/2019 and closed 4/2020, so I'm assuming we would qualify for the bonus. It says "Existing accounts and previous cardmembers with accounts closed in the past 24 months may not be eligible for this offer." But we're 25 months since closed, so should be good right? Unless Barclays does something wonky... please tell me they don't....
