Yikes on all the SW drama. Sorry this is happening to you guys.

Speaking of SW, DH's Plus and Premier AF hit today and I totally didn't plan ahead (oops). Concerned about closing both at the same time since it will hit his CL pretty hard. You can't PC a SW card to something else, right? He's good to apply for another personal card, but not sure about the timing of that either. Dang, probably should've had him lower the CL last month and go ahead and apply for something before the AFs hit but oh well.

I currently have 5 Chase cards, and this week applied for the Marriot Bonvoy card online. It looks like I was denied, I'm just waiting for the snail mail reasoning. If it's because they don't want to give me a higher credit limit (which would make sense based on what I currently have), could the reconsideration rep rearrange my credit limits on the other cards to get the Marriot Bonvoy card in there? I pay my cards off every week, so my credit utilization is very low. Thanks.

You should have a copy of the letter under document manager, then go to letters.

Correct you can’t PC a SW card to something else……you could move some of the CL to another personal card before closing the SW cards.

I changed my internet to My SW card for dbl points while I’m working on my cp. however our internet is thru our electric company (we live in the country and it’s the only fiber optic option) so it coded as utilities not internet. Is there a way around that or am I just beat? The internet/cable part of that is 250/mo so I’d like the extra points lol

Anyone know if there's a way to buy disney gc for disneyland paris? just rebooked our 2020 trip!, and I'd like to give them to our guests.

used my United points for 2 flights, used chase UR for 3 flights budapest to Paris and Hilton for 2 rooms, 4 nights! cash for 2 nightst at DLP.. Oh well! wasn't worth using DVC, so I'll just rent points to cover

almost done with MSR for 2 chase business cards, hard with such a low limit! then hopefully CSR has better SUB to do MDD

we have SW flights in June to Nashville, hope no changes!

sheree

Yep, my may flights got all screwed up.

I see a lot of posts here about Credit Karma. Is there anything better about that than Experian or Lifelock? After DH's chase cards and gmail (what a freaking nightmare) got hacked a couple of years ago we signed up for lifelock and I have the free experian one. Do I need CK too?

Also, what are the best blogs or sites to read about the different cards and such? The only one I really know about is TPG. I've been following along here, but I'm a nerd and I like to read all the things lol
They've moved into June as well. Got an email our 6/3 flight was changed. Had the only nonstop booked, now there are no nonstops MDW to BUR. Rebooked all of us. Of course, that is not the flight I wanted changed because I screwed up.
SW is now changing June flights, Jun 1st just changed from 8AM departure to 5AM and about a 4hr trip is now 8.5hrs. :badpc: I just booked a new flight later in the day since it was about 4k a ticket *3 cheaper and if I recall correctly doing a change now I would not get anything back unless I called. I'll cancel the old booking in the morning if this new flight hasn't been removed by then. Odd that the flight they put us on does not exist according to the website.
I am another SW victim. They changed our outbound May 30 flight and return June 3 flight. Outbound changed from 5 am nonstop to a new 10:55 nonstop. At least it's nonstop but that's 5 hours of park time gone. On the return, departure time is similar but we went from a 2 hr nonstop to a change in MDW. SW is the only airline I have flown in many years because of points and CP. I know other airlines are also making lots of changes, but almost all the changes I have seen on SW to/from my city are terrible.

Has anyone used the VRBO/Airbnb $200 credit on the Capital One Venture X? I had an Airbnb charge on January 28, and the credit still hasn’t posted.

Related: does Capital One have a messaging or chat system similar to Chase’s SM? I poked around on the app, and the options seem to be chat with a bot (not helpful) or call. The VX is in P2’s name, and I know he won’t want to call, so I’m hoping there’s an alternative way to contact them.
Have you completed your stay? I also booked an AirBnB that hasn't credited, it's been a few weeks, but the stay is not until this summer so I wonder if I have to wait until then to see the statement credit.

On the SW drama, SW will not budge on honoring my ticket out of Richmond. Only options are DCA, IAD, or BWI. BWI is the only option with a nonstop but I'm just not willing to drive that far. I tried Twitter as well and got a canned response. If I didn't have almost 300K rr points and a CP, I'd be done with them for a while.

I rarely fly SW and now reading these posts I remember why. Last year i jumped on a great
fare to Orlando from Calif for the holidays. Well the Omnicron hit so I decided to move the
extended family trip to Disneyland. Now im stuck with these credits that will expire in a few months.
SW definitely can work well in certain areas.

The prices have jumped so much. I can live with that but everywhere we want to go has 1 or 2 stops
or asinine layover. However I guess Im grateful we can still fly (nonstop) to Hawaii for 100 dollars.

On the other hand I'm surprised they don't have a stop in the middle of the ocean to refuel.

I don't even consider them when I'm looking for flights. Between dl and Alaska I can get most places I want from sea non stop or maybe in atl which when doing a redeye is still better than 2 shorter flights. Plus sw doesn't do redeyes and I won't waste daylight hours flying if I don't have to.

FInally ordering from Away. Decided to get a medium in Coast (dd has a bigger carry on in Coast) and another bigger carry on in Asphalt for DS (or he can have my navy bigger carry on). I figure dd and I will take the medium and one bigger carry on to Europe for our cruise. Didn't realize you get $45 off for buying a set. Of course I have no closet space to store any of these suitcases!

SW routes haven’t come back to what they were like pre pandemic at my home airport (MEM) yet either. Currently only Sat n/s to MCO and zero to BWI for example. It is still hard for me to not love them though. Between P2 and myself we are starting our 9th year with a companion pass. We’ve been able to do so many trips over the years that we wouldn’t have thought about doing without the BOGO of the CP. I feel pretty lucky. Now the kids are off in college DW and I get away for long weekends quite a bit. On board now as a matter of fact and see that they have the drink menu back. And they are accepting expired (pandemic time frame) drink coupons. I’ll take a Lagunitas please…4C4C70DF-AD54-4370-B791-77A4BB240096.jpeg

I am going to apply for my first business cc and I want to make sure that I have all of my ducks in a row first. My last Chase apps were a CSR/CSP MDD in 4/21 and I applied for an AMEX Personal Plat in 12/21. My Chase CL is around 20% of income and I pay all of my cards in full each month. Currently most of the monthly spend goes on my BoA Premium Rewards card and its credit utilization rate is around 50%. Does Chase only look at the balances on their cards or do I need to pay down BoA before I apply for a CIC for the best chance of approval? Thanks for any thoughts.

Is it reporting 50% on your credit report? What’s the total utilization being reported? If you are under 20% it should be okay, but closer to 5% would be best.

You look to be fine with the 20% of Chase CL to income…assuming it’s under around $75k

I’ve never applied with a large balance on any card so no idea how they look at that…others may know

if you are applying as a SP business name is your first and last name..nothing else no EIN is your SS number…..if you have a P2 use their support link so they get the 20k support points

So about the BJ's deal. So my husband has the 20 off. I have the the 10. Do we really need to set up
TWO online 1 day accounts? Do you think I set up one and just order in 2 transactions?
