Ok..... I'm desperately wanting an ink biz....just not sure I can swing this within my (humble) means this time.... tell me if this sounds ok/terrible please! Can I #1- use a support from a CiC and app for the CiU?
#2- I'm 4/24 last app was swa for the CP on 1/4/22 (also got the biz in Dec 21) and the 5/24 is ALL cards, right? not just chase? I haven't app'd for anything since then
#3- since I'm also keeping my spending in general very low, will this be a problem for ink biz? (I already have the CiC in hand)
#4 my online sales are 'real' this past year, should I use those numbers to app?
#5- I'm honestly not 100% sure what to input for total income,I used to use the $1k 'biz' revenue with Dh's income- (no income there atm)
#6- already sm'd to lower the credit limit on 2 cards (swa had over 20k alone on them)
#7-as far as MSR....I'm thinking in circles here- I have a tax bill upcoming that will knock out a bit over 1/2 right away-the rest..... who has experience using p.pal to 'send' $ to a friend? will that work? b/c I think that small fee is worth the bonus.
***SO, in summary, I have the apps in place to try, will my msr plan work? any advice?

#1, yes
#2, yes
#3 no
#4 yes
#5 use $1K for revenue, include DH's income for total household income
#6 N/A
#7 don't use paypal or venmo to send to a friend, they now post as cash advance, better off just buying VGC/MCGC at staples

#1- use a support from a CiC and app for the CiU? The support links for biz cards are universal, so you can select which flavor you prefer. Do NOT self-support, meaning send yourself a link.
#2- I'm 4/24 last app was swa for the CP on 1/4/22 (also got the biz in Dec 21) and the 5/24 is ALL cards, right? not just chase? I haven't app'd for anything since then If you are 4/24 or under with all personal cards, you'll be good.
#3- since I'm also keeping my spending in general very low, will this be a problem for ink biz? (I already have the CiC in hand) I'm not sure what you mean by this, but as long as you can meet the msr, there are no issues. I don't think Chase tracks what you are spending on your other cards.
#4 my online sales are 'real' this past year, should I use those numbers to app?
#5- I'm honestly not 100% sure what to input for total income,I used to use the $1k 'biz' revenue with Dh's income- (no income there atm) Many people would advise it's safe to report whatever your last income taxes showed.

If half will be spent with taxes, do you have $1,000 each month in other expenses? Sorry, no experience with MS/paypal/venmo to meet MSR.

Thank you both for your advice. So I can likely use last years income tax number (which is far different from this years lol) and I'm guessing that might mean this next month or two is how I can do that.... *sigh* on the pp thing,I was hoping for a simpler option like that to finish it off....

and the cash advance won't count towards MSR?

I did this offer. Just waiting for the bonus now. I didn't have to provide any extra info and opened it online in just a few minutes.
p2 and I both did this. We are waiting for our bonus also. His trackers shows all good. Mine shows no tracker at all. Amex chat assures me it's a glitch and I met the requirements, so we shall see.
Did you just do ACH transfers from your primary bank account to get to 10 transactions? It sounds like a good way to earn 30K MRs and long as I don't have to spill the beans about my biz.
Yes, this is what I did.

I'm a little peeve'd at Amex. I've been watching the tracker on my Surpass $15k spend for awhile now. It's show the same amount for days, even though the tracker says it updates daily. I want my dang FNC! I'm looking to use 3 to book the Hilton in PDC for my Feb trip w/ my BF. I have 2 of them sitting there waiting, just need this last one. I used chat and they could only tell me my balance as of Oct. And said I have to wait for the Nov statement to close. GRRRRRRR!

I COULD book the 2 nights and then use points for now on the 3rd, but I just wanted to wait and do all 3 at once. We're hoping we get a SUITE upgrade again w/ the diamond status. We had the swim up oceanfront last time. We thought about maybe trying the AI in Tulum, but I think my BF really liked the city of PDC once we ventured out, LOL. He was leary of doing it at first, LOL.

Is the only way to close a Kabbage checking account by calling? I tried amex chat and they just gave me a phone number.
Kabbage I called. They said after 60 or 90 days w/ $0 balance it closes automatically. So I guess i'm good. IDK, LOL.

DH approved for CIU yesterday (after being pending). SM'd to have the card expedited and just got a reply back that they can't yet because the card hasn't been "ordered". Huh. I thought only cobrands might be an issue asking too soon. Guess I'll ask again tomorrow.

Anyone have any thoughts/opinions/intel on Avelo Air? They are coming to my home airport (RDU) and flying to 6 FL cities, including MCO, starting in February. Wonder if I should be excited, or if this is another Frontier with cheap “fares” and tons of ridiculous extra charges.

That's weird. I was able to have my card rushed when I was approved over the phone.

2/3 of the way done with MSR on the CIC I was approved for exactly one week ago! I'll have to wait for the statement to close and pay so that I can put the remaining $2K on it, as I'm at the $4K limit now with our appliance purchase. (Right? Chase wouldn't like the idea of paying if off now and putting another 2K on it before the statement even closes?) Also, the new account bonus tracker FINALLY showed up today in the app, so it took a week for me, in case anyone else is wondering where their's is.

haven;t tried them yet but their fares are incredible! I fully intend to give them a try when my SWA points aren't useful for a trip.

I did go through a dummy booking - they are offering introductory $29 fares between RDU and MCO which is awesome, but then $$$ for seat selection (I think the cheapest was $12 in the last row by the bathroom 🙄) and $40 for a carry-on bag. Still a good deal, but not sure I’ll pull the trigger.

I’ve actually done this multiple times this past year on several Chase MSRs and have never had an issue with it. Chase actually increased my credit limit because of it.

I'm not near your home airport, but Avelo is coming to our airport. The county executive was on the radio just this morning and he was asked about it. He said Avelo is having a big hoopla for its first flight out of our airport. Probably lots of media there. I was thinking that if you want to fly this airline, that first flight is the one to be on. The airline won't want any delays or other problems with that flight because there will be so much publicity.

After that first flight, who knows. When I googled it, I saw that the airline only has 11 planes. I suspect if there is a mechanical issue which grounds the plane you are supposed to be on, there isn't a lot of wiggle room to get a different plane to your airport.

There will only be 2 flights a week to MCO and 2 flights a week back. So even if the planes are okay, if a flight gets cancelled due to weather issues, it may be hard to re-book.

I haven't checked them yet, but JUST today did a dummy booking for Frontier (also from RDU) as we're scrambling from the storm cancellations to MCO today (we're pushing to Dec...hopefully). By the time I added the cheapest seat, and 1 carryon bag, it was pretty close to Delta's price.

We got eCerts from Delta (we were flying down on Delta, back on SW) and obviously fine with SW (and the points for a tickets went down already, so banked 8000 pts back) but 2 of our party was flying Frontier. I wondered if we should just all book Frontier for the Dec trip (and use the eCerts for a different trip) -- but the itinerary wasn't great and the cost was close flying Delta. We'll pass for now.

Yup. Reminds me of Allegiant. Both DH and I have had issues (mechanical) that pushed us to flying the next day (in my case I had to pay out of pocket to fly back SW due to work responsibilities).

I think it's ok if you don't make a habit of it. I did the same on my last CIC. I usually pay it down, not completely. Currently working on DH CIC with a $5k limit. SMd to move $2k credit from his CIU to get $7k total credit on the new card.
