Just for the laughs I would get him some from Victoria's Secret. They do have Men's Cologne and it's pretty good.OT but I know we have several frequent posters with teen boys-- I need recommendations for cologne for high school boy. Stacking the Rakuten codes with some gift cards to knock out the list.
Thank you for following up, I can certainly understand with it being the last flight needed for A-List. The lack of flexibility is almost always the downfall of booking 3rd party. I'm glad to hear you got a SW Rep that was willing to do it for you.Update to my Chase Travel URs versus SW RR's flight. This morning I decided to start off by calling SW first and just have them look up the confirmation number and let me know if they can help. Immediately the rep said I see it here, looks like you booked it through your work's business? It shows as Global Business booking on their end. Told them about booking with Ultimate Rewards as opposed to transferring them to RR's and now it doesn't appear I am able to keep the difference in price as a travel fund if I change my flight - I'd rather, of course, be able to have the travel credit to use as for a future flight, is there anything you can do for me? She asked what flight do you want to and a minute later told me that your flight has been changed and you have an $89 credit to use by 11/30/22. It would not let me do anything online myself and his was the 3rd SW rep I had talked to over the last few days but I knew it would be easier than trying to talk to Chase Travel again, so it was worth the shot. Worked out and it appears they must have some ability/flexibility to override the global business booking.
For reference this was my thought process in using UR's over transferring. 1. it was a rather expensive one way and it the value was calculating to 1.35cpp. 2. DW (the traveler) needed one more paid trip to reach A-List so I thought that would be nice to have all next year. Everything would have worked fine if the original trip stayed the same but flexibility really suffers if you have to change or cancel the trip according to Chase Travel. I will probably not go this route again in the future. My advice is to do anything you can to first solve via a SW rep versus dealing with Chase Travel.
