Two things...
Have I been reading correctly, if using a CP on a SW flight, you only have to buy EBCI for the main person?

my CIU tracker says I have $2.53 left to spend before my bonus. But I have returned over $750 of stuff in the last 2 months. I fully intend to re-spend that, but it might take a bit, would they claw back the 75000? if they might, I will just Venmo the amount of the returns to my dd.

Ok, 3 things, I also have Disney room deposits on there, that I will not know if I am actually using those rooms or cancelling until closer to October (trying to get the rest of my DVC night still), which is 2 months after my spend is due. Will that cause a problem, if that amount is refunded down the line?
Realized I quoted this earlier but forgot to add my data point. Our recent trip, I only bought EBCI for me and not CP. Our boarding numbers were side by side.

@ten6mom, I don't remember exactly where you are in Arizona. Any familiarity with Tucson? Wondering if I need a great pool in March or not. Planning to visit Saguaro NP and some other sites in southern Arizona next March. I am not sure how warm March (first week) is and if a nice pool would be a necessity or it is not really warm enough to want to use.
Hey! Not @ten6mom, but I’m also in Arizona. It’s usually in the 70’s or 80’s in March. If you can find a place with a heated pool that may be very nice. Depends on what kind of weather you’re coming from. I imagine if you live somewhere cooler you’ll enjoy some pool time, but for me personally 70 & 80 is still a bit chilly for the pool. 😉

I wonder if Chase is like Discover? When im trying to make a category bonus even if I make the purchase
the last day but the charge does not post until a few days later Discover still goes by purchase day. At
least they always do for me. Example when they have have 5x wholesale. A couple times I bought gift
cards online from Costco on the the very last eligible day 31st and charge didnt post for a week because it
took Costco that long to ship them ...I still got the 5x. Call Chase
She wants the sub points though. Once you meet thr spend the points will post after the next statement cuts. She needs the charges to post today, not be pending.

Not sure of anywhere I've spent $ lately that it doesn't go pending for at least a day.
It would appear they do credit on the actual day of purchase regardless of pending status.

I wanted to report back with a DP on this last minute purchase for SUB issue on my CSR. My closing date was the 11th and I made the SW tix purchases on the 10th. They immediately showed pending with the 10th as the date. However, when I checked after it closed on the morn of 12th, they still showed pending on the 10th. So I was bummed and later in the day cancelled those flights. Then a little later on the 12th, I noticed that the SUB tracker on the app showed Congrats! The flights moved from pending to posted sometime last night, I'm assuming after midnight so technically the 13th.

So now I have created this stupid dilemma where I already cancelled the flights thinking my plan didn't work, so technically I am back under the MSR for now. I will definitely meet the spend before next closing, well before the actual MSR deadline. Will they claw them back before my next closing statement?

Oh dear...I hope they don't claw back. I hope someone chimes in with any DP. If they do claw back
I wonder if you can call and explain you had to cancel flight due to Covid or something and maybe
they can adjust it. Honestly these are trying difficult times. I actually find Chase to be very consumer
friendly. Let us know how it turns out.

DD is packing for college:( She drives down with her dad and step-mom tomorrow and ds and I fly in Sunday morning. I'm making him come because I'm afraid otherwise I'll cry the whole flight home. Ugh.

Ugh. Be forewarned that you’ll probably both take turns sobbing on the flight home. When we dropped DS at college (only 90 mins away), all 5 of us would break out crying uncontrollably, all the way home. It’s weirdly like a death, even though you know that’s irrational, and that there are people in our shoes who would do anything to send their kids to college. Regardless, it just IS emotional.

We found it lasted about a month. We went for a visit and when we left, we were like, hey, everything is ok.

Sending all my positivity your way!

No I didn't know either I had called about something else and asked about transferring points. She said let
me do it for you and it was instant. I have done it at least 3 times since then by calling. I just gave the
number to transfer acct to.

The one time i filled out the form it was a mess. lol
I wonder if my concierge can move to DH’s to my account, off to try. All she can say is no, right.

Anyone else using Amazon reloads for T-mobile's 10 debit requirement?

My reloads from 9th and before show as qualifying, reloads on 10th & 11th show as not qualifying. FWIW, on the 9th when I went to reload it was the typical page where you put in the amount, choose card and then reload. On the 10th and 11th (and today) I'm getting the page that looks more like a product page, add to cart and checkout.

I think the statement generates the day after closing, so you can probably already check your statement to see if the points are there. I've heard that the SUB sometimes don't post when you meet MSR too close to the statement close, even if the charge posts before.

In any case, Chase isn't claw back happy like Amex, so I think you're fine.

Exactly. Doesn't hurt to ask. I'm finding during the pandemic most will do what they can and a bit more
to help our their customers.

The sub will NOT be clawed back. You might see a negative UR balance but once you make up that spend, they’ll deduct from it.

Returns always count towards the MSR. That is what has messed many a CP attempt when they might MSR too early and try to correct it with a return.

You are good!

ETA: And by negative I mean points earned on spend and not the BONUS for meeting MSR.

Realized I quoted this earlier but forgot to add my data point. Our recent trip, I only bought EBCI for me and not CP. Our boarding numbers were side by side.
This is an real eye opener for me! I'm ashamed to say between myself and DW tag-teaming the CP for the last 8 years I never knew this. Rarely buy EBCI (a couple of occasions when we were returning from MBJ I recall) but I know I always bought two. I just figured since they were separate confirmation numbers - I'd need to purchase both. Do both of us still have to check in (when not ECBI) or will just one of us checking in secure boarding positions next to each other?

Just posting this in case anyone missed it or thinking about Costco Membership.
Buy a membership and get 40 dollar shop card and 40 off any order of 250.

DD starting her freshman college year so I signed her and roomate up figuring it will come in handy as
she is not use to cooking for herself and for getting gas.

Has anyone done a Well Fargo bank bonus? They are certainly not my favorite company, but I got an offer in my actual mailbox yesterday for a $400 bonus with simple requirements. Wonder if there have been any issues with bonus payouts?

Another DP here too - we flew SW 10 days ago and I also just bought EBCI for myself - my companion and I ended up with A30/A31.

I don't remember who first posted about not needing EBCI for the companion, but..... :thanks:

I remember dropping my son off at college in the UK - I had this weird empty feeling in my stomach for a few hours afterwards - but was fine other than that. I miss him periodically, but facetime is a wonderful thing.

Think it might be different when DD goes off to college next year - we'll be empty nesters then.

never thought 2 nights would be a long enough stay but with a toddler it was plenty 😆 We were all ready to get back home in our own beds with normal food today.
We had 6 park days this time and by Wednesday I was ready to leave Thursday or Friday and I'm not a toddler (though maybe I act that way at times). It's so flippin hot. EPCOT was less interesting when DS was younger for sure. Plus the construction makes it messy. As for Boardwalk, we haven't stayed there but cut thru to catch bus this morning and was at Beaches and Cream and found those resorts far noisier/busier than Swan. Lots of reasons to dislike Marriottt these days but I'm not sure I'd like how busy other resorts are.
thank you for another DP, since I just bought this yesterday for me only, and not CP.
Checked in for flight tomorrow. DH got A35, his companion got A34 :confused3

Yes, I hadn't checked but mine from 8/10 also didn't count though earlier ones did. Glitch? I'll give it a few days and check again.

Dd will be driving herself (well she making the BF come and drive with her) this weekend. I’m so sad I’m not going to help her move in one last time.
