Has it been taking a long time for Amex offers to post? I used the Staples offer on both DH and my cards on April 15. We did get the email right away that we used it but it still has not posted a week later. I don't remember any taking this long before.
I used my 10% at Lowes and the $25 for $500 on my BBP on Saturday, both showed in my Savings tab on Monday but neither have been credited to my account.

I think I messed up my Amex dining credit on Hilton cards. I know it works to reload Starbucks, but this time I went through Paypal for extra stars. It posted as Paypal *Starbucks. I think that's not going to trigger the credit, is it? I guess I give it one more day.

We'll not discuss how I went from trying to load $10 from 2 different cards via Paypal to loading $35 from 1 card lol

I’m trying to behave but my sister texted me about ugg fluff yeah slides and now I’m convinced I need them. They are so ridiculous. But saks has them and I have gift cards from my platinum cards.
How did you convert the Platinum Saks credit to a gift card?

i had to look them up, but DD has some her bf bought her. She wears them as slippers but they are listed as sandals?? People wear those things out?? Lol. She says they are super comfy. I might wear as slippers if someone bought for me but not as sandals. And I wouldn’t pay that for slippers for myself. And nobody buys me gifts. Lol. So I guess I’m not getting any anyway.

ETA- DD says most girls in her dorm have them. So you probably should pick some up for your DD. 😀

Is getting a Real ID that much hassle? I have an enhanced driver's license so I can cross the border w/o a passport. When you live in MI, and Canada is closer than Ohio, it just makes sense, LOL. I now have the passport too though.

My DD just got her driver's license. I decided to pay the extra $15 to get her the enhanced license (since she doesn't have a passport yet). It took all of 30 extra seconds to get that vs the regular license. I know it requires more "papers" but we had her birth cert and everything else for her license anyways.

I've had the enhanced for years...essentially since MI started to offer them. And the enhanced is essentially the same as a passport card so it's already a Real ID. I'm just shocked if it's that much of a PITA in other states.

It can be depending on your documents and how nitpicky (or incompetent) the DMV agent is that's examining them. For anyone just starting out, like a young driver, it's probably quite easy for 98% of them because all the documents are newer, the document requirements for the regular license probably are similar to REALID anyway, and you have less of them that need to match up. For people who have been driving for decades and possibly had a few name changes or state changes or have old certificates that aren't accepted, it's quite a hassle.

In PA if you got your initial license after 2003 you're pretty much set for an enhanced license. For everyone else it can get interesting. For me, none of my docs match exactly. At first there were many reports of agents being sticklers and making you change something first before accepting the application. I have both a passport and GE so not worth the hassle for me to see if the kinks have been worked out or pay the extra $30.

My 0% interest is ending on my BOA card on 11/7/2021. I feel like I always get nailed not doing this correctly. So when do I want to either transfer the balance by or have it paid off? I only have $3k on the card right now. I have the money to pay it off (always have). But I was letting that sit in HYSA and collecting interest on it, vs paying the card down. I don't think there's a $0fee/0% card I can transfer to, so it'll be time to pay it off.

I guess I wanna hold onto the $1800 (the payoff amount) for as long as I can, LOL.

When I take advantage of 0% offers I pay it off on the due date before the expiration date, just to make sure. You should ok as long as it's $0 on the expiration date.

With the way interest rates are, you're probably talking pennies of interest if you pay it off a few days before. For me, that's worth it for piece of mind that I won't be charged any CC interest.

I just jumped on the MDD bandwagon. Instant approval for CSP through DH’s link. Need to lower the limit and tomorrow morning hopefully CSR instant approval. 🤞🏻

Also just wanted to add a DP. My DH upgraded his CSP to the CSR almost 8 months ago, I saved his CSP support link before he upgraded, and was able to use it today.

Congratulations!

I'll be interested to hear if you get credited the support points. Chase started adding into the fine print that links are only good for 6 months. We know that they still pull up the application after that, obviously, but I wonder if they just don't award points? If they do then I guess that's just more fine print to ignore ;)

When we moved I went online to update my address on my DL, they sent a Real ID :confused3 I won't argue. I know my mom was having issues because she couldn't get a copy of her birth certificate, I'm not what she ended up doing.

Last week we had a big hail storm, golf ball size and a lot of it, my yard was white. My poor car does not look very pretty. Got an estimate today to get it fixed through insurance at $3500. Was not expecting that, it's almost half what I owe on the car. Now we're on a waiting list for repairs. Do I just ask for a check so I can run the charge through my CC? Does USAA do that?

Sorry to hear about the car. I don't know about USAA but I'd check with the repair shop if they accept CCs. When we had body work done, not only did the shop not take CCs they didn't take personal checks! Bit shocked as we cashed the insurance check and figured our worst case scenario was we'd write a check out of our account. Apparently the shop wanted you to sign the insurance check over but no one mentioned it when we dropped it off.

Me! But I'm currently trying to recruit the hubs as P2.
Just swap cards out in his wallet and don’t tell him 😂😂

My DH was super skeptical of my new hobby until I started saving us big dollars on travel. He was worried about the impact on our credit scores, but that was solved when I showed him my score was better than his! Now he’s on board as long as he doesn’t have to do anything. I just give him one card to use as his everyday card (the CFF because 95% of his charges are restaurants), and then I keep and use all the others. To his credit, he does now ask if he should use a certain card before he buys something big!

This was my DH exactly...super worried about his credit score, sure the whole thing was a scam...3 years later he willingly lets me apply for cards in his name and I do the same as you give him one card to use

He's halfway there now due to me using my SUB from my CSP to purchase our 17 month old's southwest tix for our August disney trip. Let's just say that daddy was happy that the baby wasn't going to already start costing $$$ on his first flight! I'm trying to get him to use my support link to apply for the CSP so that he can get the higher SUB right now. Think the only thing that will push him over is if we go ahead with the garage addition we have planned. The only kink is that we are not sure if we want to go ahead with it since our town is currently fighting an asphalt plant from going in right by our neighborhood.

Haha as for the credit score, he was looking at mine the other day by chance and was wondering why mine was higher!

Saw some in use during our last trip to WDW, that would have been Thanksgiving weekend. Not my style, definitely not what I would choose to wear to the parks.

Good point! I'll DH check on that as well.

A tip for those using Amazon reloads for T-mobile Money. I set my the debit card as my "prime reload" for an extra 2%. It's only a penny per transaction for the .5x reloads, but it's 10-cents more than I had.

When we had repairs a few years ago, the repair shop was paid directly from USAA. I don't think we ever saw a check. We had to pay the deductible directly to the repair shop. Good luck!
