DoC posted again about retention offers on Am Ex NAF cards. I chatted for both me and DH on our BBPs. I got a $50 statement credit + $100 for $2000 MSR in 90 days on mine. Stackable with the $25 off $500+ purchase offer. Nothing for DH.

Flying this morning on SW. Surprised to see them lining up 60 people at a time! Big switch from trying to have groups of 10. Never saw anything about the change. I guess the pandemic is over?

I flew with them on the 6th and 13th and they were only doing 10 at a time. Hmmm. (Everyone lined up anyway even after being told numerous times not to...)

Interesting. This is at MDW. Even the gate agent started to say groups of 10 and stopped. Maybe new change. I liked the attempt at 10. But people....

So, I'm guessing venmo on Amex for an MSR is a big fat no-no, correct?

I can't say for sure but since they're so sensitive about buy vgcs during MSR I'd err on the side of caution and avoid it. Best not to anger Amex-they hold grudges...

You're right - I had a moment between meetings to look up the benefits on each, and the AmEx coverage is secondary.

the downside to amex car insurance is you have to pay for it. ($20 i think)

I was focused on the basic included coverage. I usually try to get an SUV if possible, which appears to be excluded from the paid coverage available through AmEx.

I'm getting a little worried with the UR transfers between household cards. Yesterday, I couldn't link my CSR to any of my husband's business cards. I was able to successfully link his CSR to his business cards and consolidate there. I'm getting the same error now when I try to add my CSR to my husbands CSR for transfer - "An unexpected error occurred". He has no other personal card that I can try to daisy chain to get his UR to me. Anyone else having any difficulty consolidating points between household cards (especially different last names, don't know if that's why it's a problem)?

Have you tried removing all the cards? Waiting until the next day to add them back?
Earlier this year I accidentally deleted DH’s CSR from my account, wouldn’t let me add it again. I ended up removing all the linked cards and letting the system reset overnight. After that I was able to add them back.

Has your CSR received points from another account before? That would cause the issue. I've messed up my daisy chain before and couldn't fix it because the card had no points, so couldn't go and remove the link. I SM'd to move the points and the issue was fixed.

Are closed-loop GC's like an Apple GC for a phone okay? I'm considering purchasing Apple GC's at a grocery store for the 10x bonus spread out over the next few months so that I can buy the new iPhone/Watch in Sept/Oct at with an effective 15-20% rebate...

Lots of trips to Atlanta in my future. DD decided on GA Tech. Thankful for a healthy stash of RR points. I'm doing my research on Hilton cards since there seem to be some decent options near campus. Now just hoping for a somewhat normal freshman year for these kids who basically lost their senior year in high school.

And my Away bag is arriving today. Can't wait!
