Just got my new CIC in the mail after asking by SM that they expedite it! (Asked on Friday and received card on Monday!)

I’ve got another CIC with a credit limit of about $10k. This one has $3k, which will make hitting that $7500 spend a little trickier. Can I ask Chase to move some of CIC #1 credit line over to CIC #2 by SM? Or would I need to call? And in either case, is this going to draw unwanted attention to the fact that I’ve got 2 CICs, such that I should just keep quiet and deal with it??

Yes just send them and sm and be very clear which card you want it moved to from using the last 4 digits.

Do you have any other Chase Biz cards? You can definitely SM to move CL and I do it a lot, BUT I try to avoid doing it between the same cards, lol. I usually move from my CIU => CIC or CIC => CIU when possible. But if 2 CICs is all you have I'd still probably do it to free up the space to meet your MSR.

i had a SW Biz card but cancelled it when the AF came due. Anything to be wary of in terms of the amount I ask for? I figured I’d ask to move $4k, which would give me $7k on CIC2 and $6k on CIC1.

Thank you.

I haven't looked into the CP too much, but it seems it's going to take a lot of spending. In a given year, I probably spend $12,000 on a credit card - all paid off immediately. If I needed to, I could put my $1500 per month rent on there as well, but there's a $30 fee to do that that may negate some of the value. I'm not too into the other options for manufactured spending right now.

How do the CP requirements compare?

Sometimes you can get there with the bonuses from 2 credit cards. There were some elevated bonuses recently, but I think they may have expired. SW isn't my forte, so I'll leave the details to the experts. @SouthFayetteFan is our SW guru. :)

The cc fee on your rent is relatively low. It can come in handy for meeting spending requirements for bonuses if you continue down this game.

Saw that this weekend. I just finished the MSR on mine for the $500 SUB. Called to see if they would switch to this promo but the lady said no....

So, signed up DH for this card (even though he opened this same card in July). Instant approval. Having him call to see if they can expedite the card so I can have for our Universal Trip that we leave for on Saturday. At least than I can put some spend on that card.

Is anyone else waiting until tomorrow to use all your Amex Credits? I was about to start making payments on my cell phone bill, but remembered how frustrating it was for those that made the transactions on the 1st.
Yes Yes Yes! And I’m still frustrated. I used PayPal to pay for shipping two small pkgs for eBay over the last few days and I’ve already gotten credit for the first one of those. But nothing for Feb 1 still.

I'm not sure but here's my recent experience with buying ds's car. I was pre-approved with Capital One at 2.65% up to 72 months. Go to the dealership and tell the sales guy I have capital one pre-approval. Go to the finance guy and tell him I don't want all the extras they try to sell me and I start signing things then ask what the APR is. He's going through BofA at 5.3%. Ugh. So we had to start over and go back through Capial One. At 9 PM two hours from home. I think I only got one hit on my credit.

ETA: It looks like I did have two inquiries (one from C1 and one from Citizens One not B of A) so who knows. I have 8 inquiries in two years which is bad but credit score is above 800, so I don't really care.

What I do is look at Navy Fed and see what they have. They issue me a check for maybe 75K. (Last car was way cheaper but you never know. Only then do I deal with the finance office and I don't tell them what's in my pocket.

Sometimes I've lucked into a small rate and we took it from Honda after all negotiations were done. That was .9%. With my last car, I used the check and a credit card for 5K and then paid it off right away.

Buying/helping my son, they had a cash offer to finance with them. Saved him $500. Then waited one month which ate some of the $500 and took an offer from NFCU to switch financing for $250 profit.

Now all this happens after we've looked at every deal in region. I'm getting more lazy though as time goes on.

Thank you! DH got his last March so I think he needs another :)

ETA: And instant approval for DH!

@SouthFayetteFan - I got my AMEX Everyday in October. So in theory, if I upgrade with this new offer, I should keep the new card until at least November of 2022 before downgrading back to the no fee Everyday. Is this correct?
So at a minimum, if you upgraded now, you'd want to commit to holding the card until April of 2022. If things still work like they used to, you'll probably get charged a $60ish AF now and then the full AF in Oct or Nov. And to fully answer the question, if I personally were doing this upgrade, I would just hold the card until at least Nov of 2022 to be totally safe.

Yes, for sure. I’m waiting a bit for the wireless charge just to be safe. So far I’m out $17 PayPal for February. Again, not a huge deal, but c’mon.
I am. Still haven't got my Paypal credit from 2/1. I chatted for the second time today and said don't tell me it's going to be 12 weeks again, this is ridiculous. He gave me a $30 statement credit that would post in 24-24 hours.
I figure I will wait and see how March goes, but yeah, if the credits aren’t posting monthly that’s kind of 😏

App'd 2/7
Approved 2/10
Requested replacement card 2/24
No CIC in today's mail. Saw a Chase Ink envelope, got a little excited, only to find out it was a statement.

I have now messaged for a card to be overnight and possibly an extension on my spending period. I don't know what else to do. I'm now worried about making the spend, I have bills that can't be put off any longer. I'm currently at about $300 that would have definitely gone on the card, if I had it in my possession, that will increase today.

Update: CSR approved.

Recon agent asked why I was applying after just being approved for the CSP, ~5 min hold, asked me to re-verify income and housing payment, ~5 min hold, approved.

When I told the agent what we paid for rent, I said "Washington DC be crazy," and I like to think it was my wit and charm that got the approval. But really, I'm happy this all worked out in the end. Don't be like me, do your MDD during the week. Or at least start your MDD on Sunday and make your second application on Monday when recon was open.

Congrats on the successful MDD. Out of curiosity, what reason did you give for why you needed two cards back to back?
Also, was this for P2? How did you talk to recon then?

I simply said to keep certain expenses separate. I've been asked that question before on recon with other issuers and I always give the same answer. I don't think they really care all that much about the answer to that question and more to see if you can say something other than the obvious - for the SUB.

Yes, this was for P2. You know how Chase has that little recording stating they will use voice recording verification to ensure they're talking to the right person? P2 hates calling the bank, I always do it. Chase is going to be very confused if she ever has to call for any reason.

 Me. I want to do it early in the month (tomorrow) but am avoiding the 1st.

Just did another $1000 at Staples. I hate that the manager has to do it and it's always the same guy. Hoping to get there two or three more times this week. Wish OD/OM deals would come back.
I stopped today since I was at Michaels which is next to staples. No manager needed there. I got the 19 year old who didn’t know why any one bought these, they are so expensive. I didn’t want to try to explain CC rewards! Used one at Costco which was the next stop. I went to Walmart but the money services line was about 10 deep and I didn’t want to wait. I haven’t tested loading serve there since all the changes.

Can I ask how people are hitting the $7500 CIC/CIU's? Are you doing MS? Do you have that much organic spend? I'd love the URs but w/o MS there's no way I'm hitting $7500. I've thought if I do the $1k downpayment on my DDs car on it, that helps, but there's still $6500, LOL.

Originally I was going to use it for taxes, we are going to owe a lot to the IRS in April and pay estimated taxes quarterly as we are retired. But, we are moving and decided we needed a new sofa. Then DH's 13 year old car just needed $1400 worth of repairs. I think the moving company costs will cover the rest. I have never used a moving company for a move before and the cost is quite high! So, no problem and I can avoid fees for paying taxes with it.
.

I have a 10% back (up to $60) offer on my CFU at Best Buy. I don't NEED anything at BB at the moment, would that apply to gift cards they carry there as well (if they carry any other than BB)? All of this is still kind of new to me, so thanks to everyone answering questions!

Not sure I saw this posted here yet: Amex has added Cell Phone Protection to its Premium Cards:

Wow! That is some news that might have me looking into one of those cards. We just got all new cell phones a few months ago and it would be nice to have the added protection on them.
