OH gosh I didn't even think about that. I guess I'd better start paying attention! It's similar to the event at California Adventure, right?
Yes! But like twice as big (usually like 3 times as big but they cut back this year #ThanksCOVID). Disney Food Blog has menus- plan ahead of time or else you will be out of steam fast and your taste buds will be all “Oooohhh- MUST EAT THAT!” And your tummy will be all “Don’t you FREAKING DARE!” when you pass by the booths.

They don’t have an end date announced. Last year it closed 6 days before the Holiday Food Festival started to change over.

Would it be too late to downgrade the CSR to a CF or a CFF?

DH has our only CSR. I can reapply next year when my 48 months is up if I want to (March). We have no immediate plans for the extensive travel that I was saving up UR and MR for. I was thinking of one of us applying for it for the grocery bonus specifically. We spend a decent amount at grocery stores which also have a healthy supply of gift cards, so I am pretty sure having the extra bonus on Grocery (at real grocery stores) would be beneficial. So I could app for the CFF and CSP if needed. Or just downgrade?? AHHHH! This is why I took a break from this in 2020.

I have a CIP, 2 Freedoms, Amex Plat, and two Amex Business (and IHG and Disney). Last app was December of 2019 and way under 5/24 for both of us.

Any reason you don't have a CFU? I find 1.5 UR uncapped on non bonus category spend pretty valuable. It's a Visa so you can use it for in store Costco purchases too. In your shoes, if you have no use for the CSR at the moment, I'd PC that to a CFU. Then, tomorrow, I'd apply for a CFF because the 5x for 12 months on groceries is pretty valuable. A downgrade will not give you the option for 5x on groceries with the CFF. Only a new app would offer that.

This may help some people - here's what my Loyalty Program tracking sheet looks like.

I especially like the recent additional I made showing gross points and pending points. Pending points is used both for pending points incoming (from a card or a stay/flight) or pending points outgoing (for a future redemption). This way I know what I have and what I've used. Since I'm booking and cancelling a lot right now, it's good to be able to track and make sure I get all my pending points back.

All those Marriott points waiting to be devalued (even more)...

Bonvoy, buddy!

@gottalovepluto I just saw you are going to WDW mid November! We will be there at the same time!
I’m trying to convince Dh to go around that time for a resort only trip. We have to see how ds is doing closer to that point since he has feeding problems. I want to take him to a splash pad so I’m also worried about temps. November can be weird with weather

If you and @gottalovepluto are interested in meeting for dinner or something let me know!

Yeah thanks a LOT for steering me toward looking at the menus... and the pictures... now I'll be sad if it's not going on when I'm there!

Do they do anything like the DCA "Sip and Savor" pass for that? Obviously I don't have an AP for WDW...

It really can! Been over Nov the last few years and I’ve roasted, been cold and then last year I frozen my you know what off! The high for the day was 55 toward the end of our trip and there I was in the Wilderness Lodge buying gloves and a scarf with a suitcase full of shorts and tank tops cause when we packed a week and a half before that’s what the weather called for 😂 (thank goodness I was at WL! None of the other hotels or shops had much stock of cold weather stuff at that time lol)

Nah. Last time they did was a couple years ago but they stopped.

*that year it was the best pass ever! It worked on BOOZE! Not Dom Perignon but it worked on Moet & Veuve!!! ...yeah we drank our way through a couple of those that year 🤣

We get in on the 17th! 17th-24th. I know we won't have a clue what to do our first night for dinner or whatever (or anything, really)

@Haley R I totally understand! We can do a virtual wave!
Planning is so hard this year! I don’t know how crowds flow, don’t know for sure what will be open food wise. Sheesh even hotels feel like a crapshoot. (Was booked for a couple nights at Poly- LOL. Pretty happy with my GF upgrade through 😉)
