The strategy worked & I just posted it.
I think I'm blind because I can't find where on dischurners you posted it. Which topic is it under?

And, speaking of Radisson points, I'm still waiting for them to drop this years points in my account. Annual fee was paid a month or more ago.
Anyone else with this card seen a delay?

Nice stash. I don’t have that much and we’re 2 player. Is there a place to see extended dates on the FNC? Does It show up in your account?
I'm still waiting for mine to post for this year. Last year, it took a good 10+ weeks for my annual points to post.
Also echoing what others have said about eBay shipping fees. They still get 3x on CIP. It's the seller fees that don't.
I had just decided it would be worth it to open the BoA checking account and change my direct deposit over to them. Then today I got one of their targeted offers in the mail! Yay! $300 statement credit with direct deposit.I know some people dislike BoA for various reasons, but I don't mind taking advantage of them for my credit card purposes. lol I found this link for a banking bonus with BoA: https://promo.bankofamerica.com/chooseyourchecking1/offer/ It's not the highest offer ever, but the other ones are targeted I think. I recall seeing people report getting cards with BoA after 3 months of opening a checking account (some even say as short as the next day but I would wait at least until you get your first statement so that you know you're for sure in their system).
I like that Cash Rewards card a lot, and max it when I can.
Kind of. Chase offers Marriott, Southwest, United Airlines, British Airways, Disney, Hyatt and other cards where the rewards you earn are not UR points. Those are Chase's co-branded cards, you can see all of them if you google Chase credit cards.
Using Chase Ultimate Rewards I moved my points over to my Rapid Rewards account. It's been years since I've had a Southwest card so I was going to sign up again once I'm under the 5/24 rule. Since I already have a Rapid Rewards account can I add it when signing up or can I do it after the card has been issued? I want the bonus points to go into the account I already have.
Catching up with the thread but @RedHotMama if you’re looking to build/rebuild credit you could do a lot worse than the Discover It Secured card. When I started playing the rewards game I had to rebuild from scratch due to coming out of a domestic abuse situation where I did not have control of my finances. Discover gave me a chance. The secured card means you put up a certain amount as security deposit which becomes your limit. Use it responsibly, PIF on time every month and they will return your deposit and “graduate” you to the basic Discover It card. If you’d like you can product change to the standard It which has revolving 5% cash back categories quarterly. But even the secured gives at least 1% cash back on purchases which is crazy for a secured card. And you will grow your score to the point you can start aiming for the nicer cards.
yes this will eat one of your 5/24 slots with Chase but that’s a moot point if you can’t get in with them in the first place, and Discover is fantastic. I did this and 2 years and change later I have a CSP and some other cards with a decent limit.
The application will ask for your RR number, so the points go into your existing accountUsing Chase Ultimate Rewards I moved my points over to my Rapid Rewards account. Two of my kids started with this card as their first non-AU card. Just to add one other nice detail: once the secured card is converted to a non-secured card, it's reported on the credit reports as if it always was a non-secured card.
Long time lurker, first time poster (on the CC board, anyway). The budget board helped me so much when I was planning my family's first Disney Trip two years ago, and I was hoping to ask some advice about which card(s) to open as I plan our next vacation. Here is lots of info:
Most recently opened card is Discover during the fall of 2018.
Currently also have:
AMEX blue preferred
Disney Visa
United MPE
Primarily use AMEX and charge about $2k - $2.5k/month and do not carry a balance.
We prefer to fly out of Newark, but could fly out of LGA if we needed to do Southwest. We do not travel often.
I am planning a Western Caribbean cruise (am I crazy? we put a deposit down last December) for August, 2021 leaving from Miami. We will be flying from Newark to Miami the day before cruise (Friday), and flying home the day we disembark (Saturday), so I know those are not the cheapest days for flying. I will be traveling with my husband and two kids (they will be 10 and 11 at the time). Luggage will be an issue, so I am hoping to take advantage of the United MileagePlus free baggage (or Southwest).
I currently have 10,290 United miles.
I was thinking about opening a CSP to take advantage of the 60k bonus points, which could be used to pay for the flights. I guess my questions are:
1. Should my husband and I apply separately so that we can both take advantage of the 60k points? Is there a downside to doing that?
2. Does anyone have advice about the best way to use points or cash back to pay for part of the cruise?
3. Is there another credit card that I should be looking at in addition to/instead of the CSP?
4. Anything glaring that you think I'm missing?
I so appreciate any help or thoughts you have!

We’re in the same boat lol. We’re waiting for our refi to be done and then we’re ready to apply for our next card. We’ve got hospital bills to pay for! We’ve had so many medical expenses this year that all future appointments for me and DS are free for the rest of the year. I’ll probably post on dischurners soon to see what card to get nextRefi done......thank goodness. Now to figure out what card I should get next.![]()
