As good as target shipping has been, they maybe just shouldn’t ship things that crush easily lol. At least they’re quick to refund

What do you guys order from Target? Every time I go on and think oh I'll get x it tells me it's in store pick up only or not available online so I've given up on them. And yes I realize I'm totally missing punctuation and that's an awful sentence but that's my day :)

Sorry I've been talking about labor a lot lately, but I have a question for some of you. My doctor said I can be induced starting Sunday or I can wait until next weekend because she'll be on call then, too. I haven't felt any contractions yet. I'm 70% effaced and only 1 cm dilated. Should I just get it over with on Sunday or try waiting until next weekend to see if he'll come on his own? She's fine with either of my decisions.

I need some recommendations please :) I just discovered upon my internet search that Neutrogena has stopped making their Norwegian forumla moisture wrap body lotion. I'd just thought Target stopped carrying it in store when I didn't see it but since I hadn't needed it I didn't look way back then. So in the next few months I'm going to need a replacement.

Looking for a lotion that's not expensive that's under $20 for a decent size bottle, this one is 15 oz and was around $10. Needs to be unscented and even if it says unscented needs to not smell funny because we all know nothing is really unscented. Also needs to be non greasy/oily. I want to to do it's job, rub in and leave my skin dry because it's rubbed in like it's supposed to. Prefer a lotion over a cream or butter, this is mostly used on my hands and I have stuff for when they get uber dry in the winter/too much hand washing.

I've previously tried vaseline and feel like it's too watery. I think they also had a new type out that I tried in the store and it was greasy and smelled so I had to use a wet one. It doesn't need to be fancy and have all the "new" stuff in it, I'd like something comparable to what I was using. Really sad they stopped making it since I feel like it's closer to the product that they started with than what they are now. I do have other face lotions and stuff I use but they don't have a comparable replacement.
Funny I was going to say I really like the lotion I have here. Then I looked and see it's Vaseline LOL Intensive Care Essential Healing. I bought a travel size at the airport and liked it so much I bought a full size. It's not at all runny.

You mean shipped to our house? When we ship things to our house, it's anything that isn't cold. So today we got cans of green beans, a bag of chips, disinfectant spray, pizza crusts, pizza sauce, stuff like that. When we use Shipt we get fresh stuff.

ETA: Oh and we always filter by things that are able to ship

I’d wait if she’s fine with it.

Too funny! I don't think it's runny it's just not as thick as the neutrogena so to me it seems watery.

Weird because I'm not even looking at odd stuff, but if you're getting food shipped why can't I get candy or whatever the last random thing was I was looking for, it was probably sunblock. I'll have to try again and filter it. I won't use shipt since I can get stuff from the grocery store pick up but I was trying to use a cartwheel offer or sale last week but wasn't going to order just one thing so I gave up.

That’s such a hard decision. To me it depends how you are feeling. If you can wait I personally would wait.

I ordered peanut butter and jelly and was pleasantly surprised how well they wrapped it so it would not squish other items. I also ordered flour, sugar, crackers, etc. pretty much anything I can get like that to avoid going to the store in person.

No worries your nugget is due in 2 days..that said it’s an estimate and if you are feeling good....and your doctor is fine with waiting... I’d wait

There were 2 parts to the statement -

1)Customers’ funds that have expired or will expire between March 1, 2020 and September 7, 2020, will now expire September 7, 2022.

2)Any travel funds created because you cancel a flight between March 1 – September 7, 2020, will expire September 7, 2022.

Mine were supposed to expire Oct 29 from the flight I had to cancel for May. They were extended today also, based on part 2. It also goes on to say that once you use those funds, they go back to expiring a year from the date you book a flight with them. So if I book a new flight on May 28 when they open up new dates, the expiration will change to May 28, 2021!

I’m almost positive that my Sept, 25, 2020 travel funds came from a cancellation or repricing prior to March 1, but I will gladly take the new expiration date!

Since you specifically asked (as I would never just offer up an unsolicited opinion on another woman’s birth plan) I would wait. You might get lucky that he will come on his own. And, if you are wanting to go without an epidural, the less interventions the better. Inducing not only makes an epidural more likely, but also a c section.

My first I was induced by choice because I went 2 weeks past my EDD. The second one I was induced, not by choice, on my exact EDD because the doctors were sure the baby was IUGR (she wasn’t). I went in for my last appointment to the midwife clinic and ended up not leaving the hospital. As much as I didn’t want to be induced with the second one, I didn’t have a choice.

Either way, if you end up getting induced, tell them you want it done gradually (with the pitocin). With my first, I didn’t understand how much the pitocin affects the baby and brings on the contractions fast and strong, and I almost ended up with an emergency c section because the baby was not handling the pitocin well. And an epidural will somewhat work against the induction. Bottom line, the less intervention the better.

I would wait if I was you, but I totally was that person with my first pregnancy who just didn’t want to be pregnant anymore.

How long have you had them? Is it a 1:1 ratio of flour and water?

Yes, pretty much, although we are trying to keep them from being too watery if that makes sense. Sometimes there is water on top, and I read we should feed it then so I do. They are getting "fed" once or twice a day, depending. It's just not rising. Well, one did one night (and reached the top or otherwise I wouldn't have known since it certainly didn't look different in the morning), but generally they are just sitting there. We have made scallion pancakes from the discard, so something is working, but the bread flour one is just sitting there, bubbling but not rising.

I'll take any advice you have to offer. It's been a week, but it's been cold here (hence my ill-advised putting it too close to the stove today).

It might be the area we’re in. The majority of our stuff is coming from Orlando and comes in like 1-2 days.

Thank you everyone that’s answered so far. All of you said you’d rather wait. I’m completely over being pregnant but I’m willing to wait if it’ll be more natural. She told me to just message her if I change my mind. I’ll have to talk with Dh and see what he thinks. She didn’t want me going passed a week but next weekend would be just a little over a week so she’s okay with that.

ETA: I talked with Dh and my doctor. She said either one is fine. If we don’t do Sunday then we’ll do Thursday instead. She said the benefit of going earlier is a smaller baby but there aren’t any risks to waiting. I have until Sunday morning to decide.

I despise Target's website, TBH. It's like a won a battle if I'm able to actually order what I want to be shipped.

I do too and yet...

Haven't tried Shipt yet. I saw you mentioned a free trial... how did you obtain it (if you don't mind telling me)?

I think the ship/pickup options on their website are awful! Sometimes I'll find something that they say is available in store... but I can't buy it and pick it up in the same store! Why???

I've ordered some things where they tried really hard to make sure it didn't leak... but it leaked. The most recent was two large bottles of Woolite (one "regular" and one "dark"). Both bottles had a little piece of tape over the caps... and were individually in plastic bags, zip tied closed. It MOSTLY worked and I only had to pour a few ounces of the regular Woolite back into the jug from the plastic bag that caught most of it...

We never seem to have trouble with the website or getting things shipped so I’m not sure. Since we do a mix of delivery and shipped it’s easy for us to just put it on the other order if one doesn’t work.

I believe I just started the free 4-week trial through my target account. When you try doing same day delivery it should show an option to try signing up for it once you have stuff in your cart. I use the app so I’m not sure if the website is different. Dh told me we have to chat with shipt to cancel

If your oven has a light that will stay on, put the starters in there with the light on. It will be warm. Particularly in a cold room, I would not feed them as often. 12 hours is really too soon even in a warm room. Give it time to get a bit hungry. How do they smell? Pleasantly sour? It sounds like they're fine, just hasn't been long enough given the cold. Some wheat starters can take up to 14 days. If you stick them in an oven with the light on, that will speed up.

Also, have you tried floating a teaspoonfull of the starter in a cup of water to see if it floats? If it does, it's active and ready to use.

I wasn't going to order, because the top I wanted is either gone or I can't find, was clearance but thanks for mentioning the pb&j, I need both so back to their site. And of course I can't get the jelly I want shipped. The one I have expires next month, I'll just wait and go into a Target and get the stuff I need. There's nothing pressing anyway and nothing would be here until Friday anyway so at that point I could just go to the store.

For the same reason I could go in and buy the movie I ordered online for pick up but came back as not being able to be fulfilled. I love Target but they just suck sometimes, especially with online stuff.
