I just placed a decent grocery order at sams club.... another example (for me at least) of things turning on their heads right now.... I used to like Costco much better than Sams....enter the new situation- costco is miserable(I'm canceling asap) I won't go there in person bc of lines etc- online they offer almost nothing to deliver...... then we have Sams...(which was a free signup) I just placed an order for pickup that should be ready on Tuesday which had everything I need (and more) to stock up the freezer and pantry again for a good while...including flour and sugar! Sooooo easy, and Discover card is 5% back right now so even better! Now I can avoid more grocery stops for quite a while. I went a bit over a week ago to grab some stuff at Aldi, and it wasn't an enjoyable experience at all. (I'm not good with a mask over my face)

We're thinking of watching the Bulls documentary too, but not sure if we want to. My DH and I both really like MJ, and sometimes it's best not to find out too much about famous people you admire, ya know? We probably will watch it eventually though.
Dh is watching for sure. I am not sure. I would like to but it’s on at the same time as Zoey and dd and I will NOT miss Zoey 😀

We are ordering groceries once a week too. But we have a large family and all our kids are great eaters, which I am thankful for, but we run through food so fast! I place a $200 Walmart p/u order once a week plus my dd17 grabs things from Target when she works and I add on with my neighbor when she orders from Costco through Instacart. We didn't eat out much before but I ran to the a store about every other day so this is forcing me to plan ahead more but we are doing ok.

Our goal has been to eat take-out from a local place once a week. We didn't eat that much take-out before but we want to support our local restaurants. Since I am not pregnant and we are not elderly (contrary to what @SouthFayetteFan thinks lol!), we feel okay eating from outside our house.

There are just two of us and we are going through food like crazy. I call it our burn rate. I try to keep a baseline amount of things on hand - especially now - but with DH home 24/7 now, we eat through our stocks so fast. He would always eat out for lunch everyday (which I hated because $) but I never realized how much that lessened the amount of food we needed to have on hand. Plus we ate out a lot more.

I have to do a grocery order once a week for sure and now I always try to over order a little because you never know if you will actually be able to get what you need.

I wanted to do Walmart pickup this week because I have a $100 giftcard, so I loaded my cart... only to discover giftcards are not accepted, so that was a bummer. So back to Kroger I went. The giftcard will get spent on something eventually.

We have been getting local takeout at least once a week, but have been trying to do it on Friday and Saturday nights here lately just to break up monotony. Other than that we don't really leave the house.

I'm going to try braving Costco again today. I desperately need Clorox wipes at this point.

We’ve only used shipt for groceries. Every time I look at instacart I’m not impressed. Our area might be smaller than where you live though
Can’t get a Shipt order here either. Instacart was great. Shopper called from store for subs and followed directions for delivery exactly.
ETA: I just checked to be sure and Shipt here is Target, Petco, CVS, Office Max and Sur La Table. That’s it right now. I’m pretty sure they used to have Costco but not now.
What about Instacart doesn’t appeal? Choice of stores? I much prefer Aldi to Walmart so it suits me.
My sister has gotten Walmart pickup by logging in at midnight or 1 am when they apparently release new times. But they don’t call and their subs are awful. My mom got green onions instead of green beans yesterday.

For the BOA Biz CC, how the heck to I setup the payment? When I go through BillPay it is defaulting to DH’s BOA checking but that is not the account I have the funds in to it?
I ‘ve struggled with this one also. I usually pay from the cc site and do not keep funds in the boa cc’ing acct. so have made a mess of my acts before when it does not let you set up a BANK acct to withdrawal payments from and just pulls from the BOA Acct that it wants too.

Had a great ride this morning -- my timing would have been a personal best, but I managed to catch this drawbridge up on my trip down and back up the A1A. Since I had to wait so long (it's slow) I decided to take a pic to share! Not as pretty as the beach, but I didn't get a beach pic today as I decided not to stop.

It was amusing to see all the bikes (in both directions) waiting for the bridge. There were dozens of us; everyone practiced social distancing, thank goodness.

@calypso726 - 'Listen to the music of the night'

Thank you for posting this link.

First I watched it on my laptop last evening. Daughter was sleeping and eventually I drifted off. Could not get my youtube to work on the smart tv.

Little did I realize it was the wrong remote.

This morning DD fixed this issue for me and I watched it again.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

Updated my details on Dischurners. It makes no sense to me. Almost seems like a random reason.
I would call recon and ask if they need more information - specifically the date established. Since you applied with the old format of application it’s possible you have nothing in the new “date established” field (since that should be a date - not a number). It is possible then that they’ll reconsider and deny you for new more relevant reasons though.

We are headed to Boston for the July 31st concert! Right now, it is the only trip this summer we aren't planning to cancel. Where are you staying? We have reservations at the Home2Suites that is a mile away. Just worried about walking back at night since I figure the ubers and traffic will be terrible.

Hope you are able to take all your trips!

Waaaaahhhh we were going to the T Swizzle show as well :(

I guess we will go next year.

We've been ordering Publix and Costco from Instacart and Whole Foods Paycheck from Amazon Prime Market. We walked my 70+ year old mom through setting up her Instacart account and ordering online. Now I don't have to worry about her going out in public. I still worry about her being alone and all. Not much I can do besides call everyday and FaceTime too.

Don’t give up hope - the “churning sky is falling” panic happens every few months and yet we always find a path forward. I could name dozens of time that churning has been over according to some people... and yet here we are still doing it.

The game may change, the strategies may change, the earning potential might be more restricted, but the game...uh..finds a way!

Absolutely! We've been around long enough to see the game change in countless ways. I like to say there is only one things that stays constant in this hobby and that is change.

You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I did and wished I had known about these YouTube drops before this weekend. I would have loved to watch JCS and Joseph which aired over the last two weekends. Looking forward to seeing what gets released on Friday.

That would be great!! My son saw Hamilton with his high school drama club!!! I went with as a chaperone but couldn’t get tickets. They only had enough for the club as they went to participate in a Broadway summit workshop. What an incredible experience for the kids! It’s ok I saw 3 other shows while they were doing the workshop so it wasn’t too bad for me either, just didn’t get to see Hamilton. One of my favorites I saw a few years ago with Benjamin Platt was Dear Evan Hansen.

Wow - it sure is a great experience for them. I can't get enough of Hamilton. I saw it locally twice - once with paid tickets and again with a friend who won the lottery. Then again in San Francisco. I really want to see it in New York though. I think that will be a nice end cap to my Hamilton run lol.

I found Dear Evan Hansen depressing. I was expecting to love it but didn't. The music was great, and I understand how it won so many awards, but it left me feeling like I needed some kind of pick-me-up. The number towards the end with the mom and Evan on the sofa left me sobbing. That was offset by the Carole King musical Beautiful; I thought it was terrific! I miss Broadway!!!

I think the final one, at least for now, is Cats on Friday.

I hope they or others consider releasing more shows. I know Disney has Newsies available, because I paid to see it in the movie theater.

Oh, and I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but National Theater (England ) has been releasing a play a week. This past week was Treadure Island; I think this upcoming week is something by Shakespeare, but I could be wrong.

As for the aforementioned Newsies, if you’re a theater lover, check Fathom Events occasionally. I don’t think they’ve had one for a while, but they broadcast plays in movie theaters occasionally, as does National Theater Live. I’ve seen the Curious incident of the Dog in the Nightime, Newsies, Angels in America, and Frankenstein, among others.

Newsies is on Disney Plus.
Cats, oh no, that's even worse than Phantom LOL.
Are you saying you saw Curious Incident filmed? I LOVED that show!!!
I own Billy Elliot (the musical, not the movie) on BluRay, one of my all-time favorites.

I might consider doing that. I need to look into what questions they may ask so I can have my answers ready. I might wait until I get the actual letter to see if it is any different, this reason was in my "statements and notices".

I can do a tall gin and tonic once in a while, but it has to be Bombay Sapphire and a good tonic water. Plus must have lime slice. And be sitting outside in a shady place while it's sunny. In a swing or hammock. Where I can drift off to sleep afterwards.
I had the best tonic water in India! So now I'm on a quest to try different brands here :drinking1
Got my sandals! They are very cute on, and the three straps across the top are super comfy. As suspected, there is no arch support whatsoever. Not an issue for me, but those who need support should not purchase these. Also, no cushioning on the bottom of the foot, so I wouldn't use these for walking sandals for big mileage (like for a full day of touring). They seem comfortable enough to wear around town for a couple of hours but they won't be replacing any of my walking shoes/sandals for travel. They are lightweight and should be very easy to slip into a suitcase, so they will work great for warm-weather vacations to slip on for cocktails, dinner, etc.
Do you know how they would work for someone with a high instep? The top of my foot is so sharply angled that I have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit. I wear Saucony running shoes, Rothy flats, and Ariat boots primarily.

The chance of contracting listeria is low, but if you do get it when pregnant and don’t realize it the results can be devastating.
Good friends daughter in law had it, didn’t know, went into labor at 28 weeks, because of the infection...baby was born with severe health issues, and has been in and out(unfortunately mostly in) of the hospital her whole life...she will be 2 on July 4th...she is on a feeding tube, can’t walk, sit up etc it’s so sad..
Super sad :(

My rule of thumb after my preganancies has been that if something wasn't good for me while pregnant it probably shouldn't be something I should eat anyway. I can't stand most deli meats. They gross me out. Not all of that is related to pregnancy; @Calfan has something to do with it as well :) The only things I will occasionally eat is very dry salami and prosciutto. I'm a germphobe anyway, so the whole deli/prepared food thing is not my favorite set up.

All the talk of Broadway shows has bummed me out. It's hard to believe that it hasn't even been six weeks since we were in London seeing SIX. If you guys haven't seen that, put it on your list. We loved it. Very Hamiltonesque. We listen to the soundtrack every Saturday when we do our weekly COVID deep clean.
