This is pretty much exactly how I’m feeling lol. I have no idea what to expect. I’ve had no Braxton Hicks so I have a feeling when a contraction starts I’ll be very surprised. I’m really hoping he comes on his own because I don’t want to be induced.
I didn't want to be induced either. I went 10 days over my due date for both kids and inductions were scheduled. Both times I went into labor the day before being induced. I suspect it was the anxiety about induction that caused me to go into labor, but that's just a theory. With my first birth it wasn't the pain that freaked me out, it was that my body felt so out of control. It's such a strange experience.

My doctor scheduled my induction 4 days after my due date. I asked her if she thought that was too early but she said she prefers that and doesn’t want me going past a week anyway

How long did it take? It's been 10 days here - far too long no matter how busy they are. :( I waited until the AF fee posted because I thought that is what I was supposed to do, and pretty soon that bill will be due.
I’d message them again. I sent 2 SM’s on 4/15 and got responses to both today.

So Interesting how things have changed over the years....Both of my kids were 10 days early....my sisters were all 2 weeks late.....but this was 30 years ago, I didn’t know anyone who was induced back then....

Idk if it’s because of everything going on or what. My hospital rotates between 4 doctors so my doctor is there on Mondays and every fourth weekend. I think that’s why she was pushing for the Monday after my due date but she does happen to be there next weekend too if I wanted to wait a little longer.

Maybe...back then we both went to the same practice..4 doctors and we saw all of them throughout our pregnancy since we didn’t know who would be on call when we went into labor

Under normal circumstances I would’ve seen all 4 doctors but with everything going on we decided I’d just keep seeing her and she’s going to try her best to be there. If she’s not there it’s really not a big deal. I just want him healthy and that’s about all I care about

That is probably why. I know in my OB/GYN’s practice, they are only allowed to schedule inductions on the day(s) they are in the obstetrics unit. And no inductions are allowed to be scheduled on the weekend.

Mine started with light contractions. Just sitting there one evening and the cramping started. I was like 😯 ummm...is this gonna happen. Haha.

With my 2nd they scheduled an induction 3-4 days after my due date 🤷🏼‍♀️ I went into labor on my own 7 hours before my appointment.

When my contractions started with my first, I thought they were gas pains for hours, lol.

I can almost measure the stages of my life by the times I have seen Phantom! It is my all time favorite musical. Saw it when it opened at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto (with the opening cast), five years after that, again when Paul Stanley (of Kiss) played the phantom (he was spectacular), when dd turned 13 in NYC and in London West End (my parents said the staging there was far better than Toronto -- and they were right) on my second trip to London. About to watch the 25th anniversary YouTube show now. It never gets old for me.
Mine, too. I grew up on Broadway. The first show I saw was Cats for my 5th birthday & then Phantom at age 7. My great-aunt & her friends used to take me & two other little nieces of ladies in the group to matinees every so often, and we would all wear fancy hats. We went to see Phantom quite a few times. It has never gotten old for me. I don't really care for "filmed" musicals as they obviously can't live up to live shows, but I'm going to have to check out the YouTube version.

I was obsessed with Newsies when it was running. I saw it countless times (have still seen Phantom more, though!) & used to go up with my high school friends just to hang out at the stage door and say hi to the actors. One of them ended up being my classmate in college & thankfully did not seem to remember me at all. (It's not like I was going to ask or mention those days but he didn't look at me like I was a crazy person, so I’m going with it.)

Every single concert & show I had booked is gone or will be. Taylor Swift, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Japanese artists, musicals, etc, all poof. What a depressing year!
