My son and I baked a Hummingbird Cake today chosen specifically because I had so many random cans of pineapple and so many overripe bananas. It's frosted with cream cheese frosting and waiting in the fridge. We don't know yet what we are having for Easter. Usually it's ham but we didn't pick one up. Plus my dad's taste buds are so finicky from chemo that it's very hard finding a protein that he will eat. Chicken totally out. Steak has to be so rare

, doesn't like pork or ground beef anymore. Ham might have worked, maybe, depending how he woke up. These 2 months have been baptism by fire for so many things - from creating a three generation household, to learning to work from home, home school, and realizing exactly how much of a burden my mom has shouldered while my dad has been sick.
