I’m not sure what we’re doing. My mom and stepdad are flying from Texas to Colorado to stay with our other kids and they are 67 and 68yo. Feels irresponsible to have them fly out but I told my mom we may cancel and she said they’re still coming.
My dd is there now on her DCP. Rumors are flying today that they are terming the kids. Not sure if that is only the kids who were in parks (like my dd) or all the kids. My dd is so sad. She worked so hard to get into this program.

I don't see WDW reopened in just 2 weeks.
 
Officially hurricane season is June 1 through November 30, with peak season August through early October. So a lot of us go then and take our chances!
I love rain and thunderstorms. I always thought it would be kind of cool to be there during a hurricane. It’s the flights in and out that can mess you up.
 
@SouthFayetteFan - Can I ask when your Chase SW statement closed and when the points appeared in your RR account? My new SW biz Premier stmt closed 3/11, it shows the SUB on my stmt, but so far nothing in my RR account. I even called a few days ago to verify that I had the correct RR# connected to my account since it didn't have my number listed on my card. It seems like my points should have been there by now (along with my CP!). Thanks!
My DHs bonus points posted 1/16 in his RR account the day after his statement closed on 1/15

When searching for SW flights, does "1 seat left" really mean that? I have to book myself and a companion, plus DS, separately.

I thiiiink it means "1 seat left - at this price". I want to say in the past I have booked "the last" seat on a flight and then gone back later to check the price and there are still seats available at WGA fares, just for for 2k more points or something. Especially if it's for a flight that just opened up, I doubt it's 100% sold out right now.

I think this is a situation they are damed if they do xyz and damed if they don’t do xyz. .....Whatever they do some people are going to say it’s not enough, while others think it’s an over reaction
Here on LI we have school closures.....some agree...others don’t ...in my neighborhood if they thought the kids would stay home, they were sadly mistaken...they are still together walking around, going to stores etc..

the NYC school system has not closed...even though some think they should due to the students taking the subway, buses etc..while others feel it’s fine...so :confused3

The first sentence is my feeling also, but that's the burden you bear when you take on leadership, whether it's at the bottom of the food chain or all the way up to the top of the heap. There's rarely a time in real life where everyone is on the same page.
And the school thing is close to the college thing - in loco parentis, which leads on down to the Disney program - college kids - Disney is limiting their liability if they send them home.
 
Anyone having issues with Hilton website, use the app or change browsers. I cancelled a few reservations last night and Chrome wouldn't work, app worked for 1 then broke, Firefox worked for another then broke, back to the app and got my 3rd cancelled. I think like all others their systems are just overwhelmed right now.

Hilton would not extend my FNCs, the first one doesn't expire until 7/4. Rep said they were Amex certs so I had to talk to Amex about extending them, that makes no sense to me as I've never seen anyone told that.
Maybe they're staffing new people? I have however seen a suggestion to wait until closer to the expiration date so I shall do that.
 
It usually means 1 seat left at that price point. The next ticket will cost more. (Or if you search for 2 people it will show a higher cost also).
Are you seeing that on a Wanna Getaway fare? Because that just means 1 seat left at that price I believe.

So my CC related conundrum is that when DD applied for the $5k SW card we had planned to sign her up for Plastiq and pay off some of her student loans. Now with the news the other day, it seems wasteful to pay them off. But she will not be able to hit it organically so will need to figure something out. Her part time job is with the University so she is not even sure she will get paid. Right now they are saying they will, so hopeful that will continue.
 
My .02 : Leaving out politics, I just don't think those making an hourly wage or working off tips or in similar fields, are going to stay cooped up at home and not earn money. Companies paying people that aren't able to work from home will eventually stop. I'm focusing on the economic piece of it and people will basically be thinking, "I'm not dead yet," and if no one else around me has, I'm going back to living my life.
Whether that's 2 weeks or 2 months until we reach that point, I don't know.
There just trying to keep a surge from happening and in reality many of us will get infected at Some point.
My life hasn’t changed at all. I’m kind of a homebody anyway. I’m not planning on changing any travel plans. The stores and restaurants are all. packed where I live. This is our Summer in Az. Starting in June everyone stays indoors.

It worked for me on both my computer and phone. I haven't tried the app yet
 
We found out late yesterday they cancelled services and all church activities for next two weeks.

I work for a church and we just cancelled services and all non critical gatherings for the next four weeks. We’ll start streaming the Sunday sermon this weekend. The office is still open so we can go into work or work from home if possible. But since we 100% depend on donor contributions, who knows where we’ll be in four weeks. Scary times. And it’s snowing today.
