Exciting news about the SW increased bonuses. I was hoping for the offer from last year that gave the free CP for the remainder of the year, we are heading to Hawaii in March and it would be nice to be able to have DS fly for free with DH. DD is already going for free on my CP.

I need SW points so we will definitely do the offer, I'm just trying to decide if we should try to go for a CP for DH. If we went for the CP it would be ideal to have it before mid March which would be really tight.

I currently have a 5,000 MSR with a new Delta Gold and a CIU. Adding a 8,000 or 10,000 MSR for DH might be a bit much...

If we tried for a CP do you think DH would qualify for the business card with 2 business cards in 2019?

I'm content doing just the 75,000 bonus with a referral from my account.

Any thoughts? We can always use SW points. I know I need 93,000 for summer plans.
There are people getting as many as 4 business cards with Chase in a year. I don't think you're going to run into an issue there!

This is not a drill! My Aspire points have posted (finally)! Check your accounts if you got in on the no fee and meant your MSR on the 1st statement. No idea why I am so excited since I am not sure how I am using them or the free nights I have but it’s nice to see the balance grow.

I don't post on FT. I don't post on or read Dischurners so you're safe. GEEZ people.!

I don’t think @SouthFayetteFan or @gottalovepluto were singling you out specifically. At least that isn’t how I read it. I think it was just a general reminder to all of us since you brought up FT and many of us do read FT. Anyhow, I know how sometimes a comment can come across as being directed at one person and it isn’t meant that way. I also know that can cause one’s feelings to get hurt. Been there felt that myself on this thread when I thought a comment was directed at me and it wasn’t. Just thought I’d offer my perspective for what it’s worth.:flower3:

Is HG the illness where you are super sick (like a morning sickness on steroids)???? I had bad "morning sickness" with a couple of mine (barfed the whole pregnancy) but never had a name for it other than "morning sickness". I still gained weight fine though so it couldn't have been that bad. I only had one pregnancy that I had trouble gaining any weight and I wasn't sick at all with that one.
Yes, sickness on steroids. I was sick 24/7 for the 7 months with both girls too. But my oldest DD's issues with both pregnancies were just nuts. The last one she was in the ER 5 times in the 1st 6 weeks for IV fluids, then her electrolytes went wonky, she had to get a port for nutrients, then she got blood clots in both lungs so she had to give herself shots twice a day in her stomach, plus a multitude of other crazy poopiedoo I could go on and on. Her 1st one was bad too but she made it through without a port, at the end of that pregnancy she was in the hospital for 10 days with kidney stones. It's been crazy challenging, and they want to have another one :crazy2: But I think they have agreed to adopt the next one (or at least that's what they are telling me).

I had a heck of a night last night. Was driving home, got close to home, thought my car sounded funny and then suddenly couldn't control it. Pulled off the road and looked - my tire was just absolutely shredded. Of course DH is away on work. The rub here is that I also drive a very tiny, very rare electric car so no one stocks the tires.

Luckily I had plans to meet a friend for dinner. So he was already heading my way and came to help. So between buying his dinner, paying for the rare tire order and the world's most expensive 5 mile tow, my night cost $400. But think of all the points. :rolleyes2

A coworker is coming to get me this morning. The dealer thought the tire would be in at some point today, we'll see.

Sorry to hear that! But glad you had a friend able to come help you. I would have been the same way if it happened to me and my DH wasn’t available. I have never changed a tire.

Just curious, how big were your twins?
6lbs 8oz and 5lbs 12oz

Peanuts compared to my 8lb 9oz son, but they didn’t need any NICU time. I was uncomfortable at the end, but I feel lucky to have had uncomplicated pregnancies. I know not everyone has that. I was still able to keep working until days before delivery with both.

This this this. When we moved here my husband was very confused on the USC thing haha and YES MAM as a Tennessee girl born and bred there is only one real UT and it was founded first and has the better orange.
I don’t know about better orange 😜 but yes that’s UT to me

Those are nice size babies for twins. Heck, my DS was 6lb 8oz and only one of him but 2 weeks early. He was born at 6:08 am so it makes those numbers easy to remember. Oh, and I had him in 8 min so lots of 8s in the mix.

Glad everything worked out! DH got new tires and oil change yesterday to help with the Biz Plat MSR.

DP for Aspire DL credit- changed DD’s return to school ticket and was charged a $200 change fee plus $45.12 difference in fare fee and 3 days later the entire amount was reimbursed. :cheer2:

Between baggage fees, change fees, etc I suspect all of my amex delta credits ($950) this year will be used as amex intended😜

This is exactly how I was. We were not having children at all. Until one day, I totally switched gears and said 'let's have a baby' lol. We were 24yo. I also loved the science behind it all and more than science, how God put it all together.
Neither was I. I was having many cats. Until I turned 22 & changed my mind :rotfl: It was around the time I met DH but I don't think he had anything to do with it. A switch just flipped.

Just posted this on the gift card thread, but posting here too:

The 4x fuel points offer on gift cards (restaurant and entertainment) at Kroger is on the app now. Also just saw one for “save $10 when you buy $150 or more in $25, $50, $100 mc or visa gift cards” 1/8-1/21

Thanks! I feel like I never have those coupons and I did this time.

Any recent Capital One Venture cardholders?
DH just got one. I got the need more info

I think you would be fine with the two biz cards.

Grrrr.....SW where are my (I mean DH's) Jan CC points! This is ridiculous going through the same torture as 2 years ago. Thank goodness DS has tickets for our USO trip next Thurs rather than relying on the CP being there.
hoping they post soon.

SWBiz1 points will post this Friday, closes Thursday... SWBiz2 MSR meet yesterday but points wont post till the 25th! Doh! That one took an odd closing date, first cycle was only like 15 days expected it to be much closer to 30 days.

Our Hawaii trip ended with a crazy incident. We stayed at the new Springhill Suites Oakland airport on our way home. Our flight landed at 12:50 am so it was well after 1:00 in the morning by the time we checked in. They gave us our keys and we walked into a room with people sleeping! I’m sure we scared them! Went back down and got a new room. I just checked my email and it looks like we got the room charges for the other room! Guess I’ll be spending my first day in reality sorting that out.

Can I say it, please? Please? Pretty please?

Seriously though, what a traumatic experience for you and the other guests. That's just unacceptable and I hope you got something more out of it than their room charges.
