Had to do regular grocery shopping; Tuesdays are my day. So I went to Super Walmart in my town this morning. BAD IDEA. Absolutely nothing on the shelves. No meats, no toilet paper, no produce, no milk, no eggs, no canned goods. This was at 7am.
Left and went to Aldi for their 8am open. Now they have a sign on the door that they are opening at 9 to give them time to restock. Crap, I work at 9 and can't wait.
Off to Neighborhood Walmart. Produce area looks better, so got a bunch there, found one of the last milks!, and got 2 loaves of bread. But again, no tp, no meat, no frozen meats, nothing.
I'll be going out again tomorrow to check Aldi when they open, since I have Wed mornings off. To make matters worse, my hubby texted me this morning that we should've gotten a gun... -_-
Scary times.
I'm going to try and get some chicken. I'm so torn about going to vote.

How do you find the minimum you can lower your CL on the various cards?
I tried to lower my SW Perf Biz thru SM and they told me the minimum was 5k.
I am able to lower the CIP to 1k.

My DH is in sales, he sells to pet shops, which will likely suffer greatly as people spend less on pets. Business took a hit last recession and his pay never returned to pre 2007 levels.
My 200,000 URs are cash for sure right now.
this got me thinking..... how exactly (again) does one cash out points?

I went to Kroger and Publix this morning. Kroger's meat section was pretty empty but I did pick up a big pack of chicken breast. The lines were crazy. There were only two cashiers open plus one side of self checkout. So people with full carts were using self checkout.

Publix was fine. I didn't look for bread or TP since I don't need it.

Tried to go to Trader Joe's but they don't open until 9 now and I had to get home and take a shower so I could get to work (working remotely).

On the guns, I'd personally just assume we don't discuss. It makes me anxious and gets political really fast. That's just my $0.02.

I went shopping today as well. They were restocking milk (actually the only thing I absolutely needed). they had pretty much everything except cleaning supplies and disinfectants and toilet paper. They must have gotten a shipment in this morning because last night, it was picked bare.

I’ve got to go shopping today; obviously I didn’t head out first thing since it’s almost 10am here. We got home from our lovely 95 drive at 1:30, but my brain wouldn’t shut up until some time around 3 :sad2:

And of course it’s raining.

There was no chicken, frozen or fresh, at any store I went to. That's basically the only "meat" we eat, so I need to find some. I did find eggs and bought a few packs for myself and also for my sister who has been on an unsuccessful hunt at Aldi and Bilo for eggs.

this is the thing about shopping currently...I can sttill find most of what I need, but I have to be more creative than my usual 'one stop at Aldi' routine.... yesterday was two stores I don't usually go to, today I might visit one more for a couple of items. I also need to return some library items (the bookdrop is open)

For everyone stuck home with the children- or heck, just stuck at home! The Cincinnati Zoo is doing little zoo talks each day at 3pm EST. No idea if they'll be any good but it sounds cute, geared towards kids as they say they'll have an "activity".

Zoos all around will probably start increasing their online presence so I would like to let the world know right now the bar for cute animal videos is being raised

Have you guys seen the one with penguins going on a field trip inside Shedd Aquarium? Too cute.

I was able to find eggs and chicken this morning. Eggs were running low, but plenty of chicken.

Went grocery shopping last night (Sam's and Target) since now both kids are home from college for the semester. (We do have 1/2 a cow in the freezer and tons of other stuff - we could live on for quite a long time). So, just getting stuff for hot dishes and fruits/vegi's etc. Well, $350 later and really not sure what I bought... lots of bare shelves.

With all this time at home kids and I broke out the Monopoly Game - haven't played in years. It was fun. Then bought Game of Life last night at Target. We had gotten rid of all of our board games now wishing I hadn't.

Also going to finally watch Star Wars. I have only seen the original 3 that came out way back in the day...

Decided if I'm basically just going to be home for the next three weeks, I may as well deep clean the house. Decided to start with the upstairs bathroom. Currently bleaching the shower curtains in the washing machine, getting ready to go scrub the clawfoot tub. It's starting to warm up and the sun is coming out so I'm planning to ride my horse later too.

A couple of random comments.
I work in mortgage, and we found a potential issue with doing our jobs that we hadn't thought about. We have to do a verification of employment on every loan before closing. If the business is closed, and we cannot do the verification the loan cannot close. They ran it up all the flagpoles yesterday and they will not make any exceptions, since it's an agency requirement.

I got home from my multistore grocery hunt on Sunday and dh comes upstairs from his workshop and yells "we have bartering power" LOL. He found a box of N95 respirator masks, that he bought for finishing the basement 12 years ago LOL.

And someone on Facebook just said they just got off the phone with DVC and they are putting points in holding again. Not sure if this is true, but it sucks if it is. I am at 31 days today, so that would force me to make a decision, today, that I was not ready to make.

:rotfl2: about to do the same....my upstairs bathroom is long overdue and it's getting the treatment! Well, except the horse riding....I wish I had that option!

The SW Plus and Priority were 2k for us last month. I was surprised that our Disney Chase was 5k, but figured out that's because it is a "Signature" version of the card. So, you can have cards with the same branding with different minimums based on the level of the card. Some reps are also reportedly flexible on lowering card limits below the minimum, but the ones we dealt with certainly were not.
