I have a CIP that I was going to downgrade to a CIC. The AF posted on 11/1, am I too late to do the product change and avoid the AF? I’m thinking I am....

Well I went incognito and got the 100K offer.....and the dreaded popup! I put spend on all of my Amex cards. I have 3 now (I just closed the Hilton Biz), Amex Everyday, Hilton Surpass (which is currently maxed in my attempt to hit the $15k) and my Delta Biz gold. All cards have a monthly bill attached and get usage. Any ideas? And like I said, my Surpass has $5k on it right now. Even my hilton biz (I cancelled) had my car insurance tied to it monthly.
aww man.

If you had to select between the Hyatt or CSR, which one would you take? The URs will most likely get transferred to Hyatt. I am torn since this will put DH over 5/24 for quite a bit.
I assume you’re considering a MDD here? Is the 1st card putting him at 4/24 or are you doing a 4/24 MDD putting you at 6/24 when this is all said done? (I’m assuming the latter?)

Does anyone know... if I "check in" through the American Airlines app right now (as it's inviting me to), but I still have to check a bag, does checking in save me any time or hassle? I feel like I'm still gonna have to stand in the same line to check that bag. (Sorry for the newbie question but I rarely fly and even more rarely check luggage when I do).

My ex-fiance lived in Newport. So I'm partial to the Crystal Coast/Bogue Sound area. I normally stay at the HI express in Havelock. Not super fancy but my platinum status always gets me upgraded. From there it's about a 30 min drive to Emerald Isle or Atlantic Beach. Another option would be Jacksonville, which puts you 30 min from EI and about 45 min from Topsail and a little further is Carolina/Kure Beach.

Someday I might venture to the OBX, LOL. So far I've done AB/EI/PKS/etc (my go to), Topsail, Carolina and Kure. At some point I'll do Wrightsville.
I was going to throw out that I believe the Sunspree in Wrightsville is a Holiday Inn property (at least it used to be when I last went years ago). It’s a pretty nice beach hotel with a great location!

No one knows. Could be becauae you just closed the biz or could be other things. Hard to say esp if you put reg spend on. Course they may want more spend :confused3
I'd think $5k on my Hilton this month, and $200-300 on the other 3 cards every month should be enough to make Amex happy. Grrrrr.

I know at DTW, there's a kiosk where you print your luggage tag, put it on yourself and drop it at the front counter. I know checking in just before your trip with Spirit ends up getting you better seats as they fill from the back. So I normally don't check in for most until just before my flights. Then again, I do like to make sure I get my TSA pre-check, so.....

Always easier and makes things quicker to do it online.

But we don't know that spend has anything to do with it as the only reason. And if you are putting that much on one, minimal in comparison on the others and canceled a card they may not see reason to give you another bonus. I'd lean more towards the cancellation being more what did it than the spend. But again no one knows what does it or what gets a person out.

I've been pretty consistent with the Surpass. And like I said, the others have had a steady stream too. Damn the pop-up! I guess that can quell my FOMO. I'll maybe try again some time next week, not that I expect Amex to be happy that fast, but I'll have paid down my Surpass by then, so maybe

I looked into the "touchless" baggage check kiosks but the AA website says I am only "eligible" for that if I'm the only person on my reservation... so I guess we are waiting in line!

Thanks!

So I just looked and my CSR bonus posted on my 11/14/16 statement. I guess I could go for new one now.

First- call and pc my current csr to a freedom unlimited. Can I leave all my points on it or should I transfer them to another card?

Next- wait a couple days an apply for csp. Then the next day, apply for csr. If not approved I can always upgrade my current unlimited to a csr, correct?

Going to go use the remainder or my available pay yourself back on my current csr...

ETA- I realized my travel credit will reset mid December. Maybe I should wait until then and use it and then pc it and get new cards?

Yep I think you have your bases covered. Doesn't matter if you transfer the points or not, I typically do transfer points off of a card before doing a PC in case something goes stupid wrong and the card gets closed (which should never happen but I take precautions against churning issues that have a 0.1% probability haha).

It’s hard to decide since the CSP referrals for 80k may go away before mid Dec. Are you ok with potentially missing out on it?

Well I just submitted a large batch of pay yourself back. So I guess I need to wait til those post and then pc. If the 80k csp is still alive then, I guess I’ll go for it. Otherwise, I’ll wait.

Honestly I’m a tiny bit nervous about 10k of spend in 3 months since so many easy ways to help make the minimum spend have gone away

After my recent MDD, the CSR appeared in my usual Chase login but not the CSP. (I applied for the CSP using a referral link then the CSR after logging in to my regular account.) Is it okay to SM and have it added to the same login, or should I just create a different login for it (or somehow figure out where it went)? I would rather not have another login to deal with, but I don't want extra eyes or to create issues--particularly before the bonuses hit. Has anyone reported an issue with both cards in the same Chase login?
