When is the first day we can apply without having to move the statement date?
I’m not sure, I was just remembering all the trouble Haley had a couple years ago with her Japan trip. I think it was to get a Chase bonus sooner and it didn’t go so well. I’m planning to wait a while to apply myself, despite the risk waiting brings. Maybe sometime in December. That will get me the best return on the 10x grocery offer since I also have the 5x UR on my newish freedom.

Spending the morning organizing credit card offers and converting those egiftr certs I got under the small business promo.

  • I had Harry and David offers in both DH and my AMEX cards - 10% and if I am reading right, it is unlimited. Also have H&D on DH Southwest card. I'll use on CyberMonday for family gifts and those amazing pears!
  • Shutterfly offers on chase cards and AMEX so I got gift certs for later
  • Have a few Lowes & Staples 10% offers. I normally don't use these all. Hard to decide between the offer and using an MSR card. I think I will pick up some Amazon cards since I have really started buying more there. Prior to the pandemic, I might shop at Amazon 2-4 times a year. I think I have shopped at Amazon more in the last 4 months then all the preceding time together!
  • Still have CFA offers unused on my cards. I guess I should send DS out to buy GCs for use later.
  • Egifter - getting some gaming GCs for Stocking Stuffers and Target GC for DD.

This poster makes it sounds like it is easy. As much as great as the 100K SUB I really think the Resy SUB is better for us. The 20% back on restaurants would bring the AF down to $250. We are going to UO in 11 days, will be spending a lot on restaurants and will also be traveling over Christmas. I can see us spending the $1,500 on restaurants in a few months.

Does anyone know when the Resy SUB ends?

Does the new Platinum offer not include the $200 annual airline credit? Asking for a colleague.

I just googled Grand Cypress/Disney. Looks awesome. I wanna go there!
It is really nice! Kayaking on the lake and a nice pool. We’re Globalist with Hyatt so free breakfast and upgrade to a suite where nice, when you have 11 nights. We have a view of SeaWorld and can see the Contemporary off in the distance. It’s 12k which makes it reasonable.

I have been struggling with what should be my next card. Maybe a hyatt is in my future!

It was so unbelievably quiet. They checked my van at the parking garage. Took the elevator to G, walked to GE office and we were in and out in about 3 minutes.

Good to hear. I was a bit concerned you would run into prep for Saturday's demonstration across the street.

Anyone else have success with the PS5? I know there were a couple looking. I got it at 1:40 AM through a Sony direct link and it will actually arrive today but we are heading to Grand Cypress/Disney for the weekend. Spent 5 hours watching a ridiculous live stream for tips and help on when things would go live. Never want to hear the phrase "Secure the Bag" again.
Nope. I tried most of the day yesterday with various launches, but wasn't able to get one. Came closest with BB, where I had 1 loaded into my cart, waited in a virtual queue to check-out, and after a half hour when it came time to check-out, said my cart was empty:headache:. Missed Amazon by a few seconds. Dd said she is okay to wait until the new year.

For Xbox series x there should be a few more opportunities to buy around Black Friday from what I'm reading. Maybe that's true for PS5 too. My son is taking it surprisingly well that I've yet to score one. Although he did tell me how one of his friend's moms got up at midnight to get one (so did I, just wasn't successful).

Weird question about customer service chat etiquette. After I've said that's all I need, have a nice day - is it better to wait for them to respond or just end the chat? Sometimes it takes them a bit to respond. I wonder if I'm saving them time by just ending it or is it rude?

I was able to get the XBoxX on Amazon on Tuesday (it was delivered yesterday), but dd says she would rather wait for the PS5. I am hoping I might be able to get one on BF; I am also on a few waiting lists at some gaming stores. So I may be able to get one, but I don't have much hope.

Walmart just taunted me with a back in stock email. Immediately went there and it was out of stock. The mind games have started!
