Shoot! Now I'm really torn on what to do. I think I'll still go for it.
But just want to double check - If I apply for the Amex Bonvoy Biz today, will that effect when I can apply for my next Chase card? Is the 3 months between cards, just for Chase, meaning I could apply next week for the CIC?

You can do it next week as long as you can meet the spend. Amex biz cards won't report but even with an amex personal it takes a statement close or two for the card to report.

Hello All!
I lurk here occasionally and I just was inspired to apply for the CSP based on the post from SouthFayetteFan reminder that the 80k offer would likely be going away soon. I got the we'll let you know soon message. I am 2/24 if business cards count in the total and 1/24 (now 2 or 3/24 after this application), but I am guessing that the reason for the let you know soon is because of the limit to income ratio, currently at around 45%. Current utilization is around 5% which is paid off in full each month. Do you think I should call and ask about moving around my limits instead of waiting for them to make a decision? I have a large spend coming up in the next week that would be awesome to use toward the MSR so I kind of want to push along the decision so that I can make that purchase ASAP.

What are your thoughts? Thanks again for all of the help.
I would call, the personal recon calls aren't bad.

Interesting ... did you have to purchase a flight as well? I have lots of Delta Vacation credits.
Nope, just the hotel. Just want to point out that there is a difference between Delta credits and Delta Vacation voucher, I used the latter.

Another vote to call recon. I just did this two weeks ago. They sent a code to my cell phone to confirm my identity and approved me on the spot. I was ready to offer to shuffle around credit limits, but we didn’t even get to that.

Successful MDD for CSP yesterday and CSR this morning! :cool1: Both automatically approved (lots of extra credit line available and very little recent activity, so they should have been easy approvals). Now off to spend 8k. Just once, I would like to have trouble meeting my msr. Somehow, extra expenses always magically appear. pixiedust:
Double Congrats party: party:

Great, thanks. We're planning a big furniture purchase so, shouldn't be a problem.

'Ain't that the truth?' Old phrase that states the obvious..

Congrats!! :cheer2::tink::cheer2:

so DS was denied on CSP today,(prob due to income requirement) how long do we have ot wait to app for the flex? can we try today?
What are his stats and income if you don't mind me asking. I was thinking of telling DD to go for it now that she has a real job.

I have multiple stories from friends IRL whose kids applied for the CSP or the CSR once they were out of college and had good, high paying jobs. All were denied. Chase seems to want a longer credit history (not just AU cards) before handing out the sapphires. My DD got the CFU and the CIP with no issues, but didn't try for the CSP because of these DPs. I know these kids and they have great jobs and great credit scores so that isn't the problem here. I honestly think it's just being younger and having a shorter credit history.

Of course, YMMV, but we told DD to hold off on applying for these right now.

The $199 AF just hit on my SW business card. It will be due on my next statement, or around December 9. This card gives you 9k SW miles on your one-year anniversary. I was approved for the card on 10/14/19. I checked my SW account, and the miles haven't hit yet.

I've done this before, but have forgotten the timing. I know I waited until after the 9k miles hit to cancel the card. Are those miles likely to hit before I have to pay the AF on December 9? Will I have to pay the AF, then cancel, then get a refund of the AF?

Also, any data points on getting the AF waived on SW cards? I know Chase generally isn't very generous in that area, but I wondered if they might make an exception with SW cards since so few people have been flying and more people are probably wanting to cancel since they aren't really getting a benefit. I'd hang on to the card for free to the upgraded boardings, etc., but I'm not paying for it for another year!

Be patient, they might hit in time! Not sure if they would refund the AF.

My DD has been out of college since 2018. She got the student Discover right before graduation and then earlier this year she got a CIP. She wants a new personal card asap and we were trying to decide between the CFU or CSP. I was actually leaning toward CSP, with my referral, until I just read this. She also has an AU on my CSP. Now I don't know what to do.

Do SW biz cards ever offer any type of retention bonus? My AF just posted on my performance biz & while some of the perks would be nice if we actually get to keep our travel plans next year, I don't know that they are worth $199. Also, if planning for CP in 2022/2023, how soon before applying again would I need to cancel this card? My current CP was with both biz cards, but if I keep 1 open, this one would be it.

DH just canceled his, no retention offer.

I tried to call and their systems are down :( so they said to call back tomorrow. Fingers crossed that tomorrow they will be back up and running.
