I made a purchase on 12/8 for $98. My flight info also shows when I click on the transaction, but my credit posted on 12/14. I didn't watch to see when the meter moved.I've got a lot of Plat Amex airline credits to try to use by end of year, and thought I would try SW <$100 fares. It's only been two days since purchasing, so it's too early to know, but when I click on the transaction, in the details it shows "Flight Information" with passenger name and ticket number.
To anyone who used their Amex credits on SW and got the credit - did it look like that?
I’ve never bought a spirit jersey or even wanted one before but the chip and dale one is so cute. I tried on the x-small and it fit but Dh and I agreed we didn’t like how the front looked on me. I don’t normally wear baggy shirts like thatThat blue spirit jersey was so cute! I may have even been tempted by it myself. I tried to have self-restraint and only purchased two things this trip. The Chip and Dale plush and a 2020 cinch backpack. I buy the dated one every year for my park bag.
Oh my bad lol. I didn’t know what that was. That would be really cool to see the launch from the actual centerDisney's Vero Beach. I think if there is a launch scheduled during our trip this year (and the weather looks favorable) we will pack everyone up and go onsite.
I didn’t think I wanted one before either. But my DD got one and I tried hers on and decided I wanted one after all. I bought two and they are so comfy - I brought them with me on my last few trips and was so glad I had them because they are great to layer with.I’ve never bought a spirit jersey or even wanted one before but the chip and dale one is so cute. I'll keep significant discussion on r/dischurners, but I want to mention again that there are reports of AA canceling booked flights, sometimes with little notice. All of us with pending vacations and/or flights booked with AA miles should keep a close watch.THE TRAIN HAS DERAILED...cease all MSRs!
Ok guys...this is serious. AA is serious about locking and potentially shutting down accounts of people who they feel have engaged in what I will call "nefarious" activities. From this point forward I cannot recommend anybody attempting to earn a 2nd bonus on any AA card (Citi or Barclays) unless they've waited 24 months or 48 months as mentioned in the T&Cs on a public offer.
Read this post on DoC to see just how serious this is becoming! This is not worth messing with anymore!
Additionally, I would only comment here AT YOUR OWN RISK! I would recommend that you continue to take all discussion of this loophole to our dedicated DISchurners thread. I would not be openly discussing any activities you've participated in with opening cards (even if it's just 2 cards). At this point I cannot tell you if you are safe or not, all I can say is stay posted. (EDIT: If you didn't get more than 1 of the same card...you should be safe)
So in the future you could possibly get 4 AA bonuses using: (1) Citi personal, (2) Citi business, (3) Barclays personal, (4) Barclays businses. I would not go back to the well for 2nd bonuses on any of these cards outside of the published T&Cs regardless of what loophole you find that allows you to do so.
Shoot, I was thinking it was 5 months. I better double check. I thought I was going to be able to use it on our trip the 1st week in April.3 months!
Thanks for sharing that. The six days fits with other dps I've seen, so I hope to see the credits by end of this week. I looked back on a transaction that credited on my gold back when gift cards still worked, and there's a ticket number on that transaction too...it starts with "526" which is the same first three digits of the ticket on my purchase on 12/14. I wonder if that means anything.I made a purchase on 12/8 for $98. My flight info also shows when I click on the transaction, but my credit posted on 12/14. I am hopelessly behind after visiting WDW so it looks like the news thread will come to my rescue! Still trying to catch-up while I can. Don't be alarmed by "reactions" from posts dating a week back![]()
I am the class/advisory parent and I had suggested a class gift but only 1 parent responded the lot were interested so I moved on. She did say she got a gift for her child’s advisor.@Alexle2007 I gave each of dd's teachers $50.00 MC GCs and a gift (except her APEuro teacher who got a $50.00 Happy Dining card and $45.00 for Fandago), but this is her last year in HS and her teachers have been superb. Usually in private schools they have a collection from all the parents that goes to the teachers; dd's classes until HS collected by the class and it was $75.00 / family / teacher; in HS it has been the PA doing a collection that gets distributed amongst all the teachers and they ask for $50.00 / family. This is the first year I didn't contribute to the group collection, but it was because I wanted to get each teacher something special. Dd also made a plaque for her APCalc teacher in the iLab that reads "I love math" written in Mandarin, made on the 3D printer and hand painted. Her teacher LOVED it and hung it in her classroom. I think $50.00 / teacher is VERY generous from your son and I'm sure the teachers will be thrilled. They also really appreciate hand-written thank you notes.
So I did a test between virgin and using URs. Flying virgin out of Miami would be 135k + $2428 in fees which we could put on a card with a travel credit or cash out URs for it. Flying out of Orlando for the same dates would be 675k URs. The first option seems a lot better. What does everyone else think?
There were a lot of cheaper options using URs with airlines besides virgin but I think I remember someone telling me PE is best with virgin
Me & the status line...when I have a pending Chase App:
Taxes & fees on award tickets (well, all tickets, I guess, but when the price of the ticket is otherwise $0, it hurts) to the UK are so expensive. This year we did PE & it cost us about $350. Next year we decided to go back, booked in J & it cost us almost double thatI’ve been watching flights for a little while now and trying to gather some kind of plan for our London/Scotland trip. We have so long until the actual trip (2021) but I wanted to start looking anyway and wanted to get some thoughts from you guys.
Right now I’m thinking flying Virgin in premium economy would be best, but it looks nearly impossible to do out of Orlando. I’ve been super unsuccessful finding flights from May-November of next year. It seems like this would just be a huge pain in the butt. They have cash flights through the chase portal but that’s not the best use of our points. We could always do a positioning flight but with a 1 year old I’m not sure if I want to do that or not.
Another option I found for transferring chase points would be to Singapore. The problem with Singapore is we would have to go out of Houston but their business class product looks pretty nice. If we went this route we would do 2 business class seats with the baby as a lap infant. I know that will cost a pretty penny to do so I’m not sure if this is the best option either.
I’m kind of feeling a little lost trying to find the best option to get the most out of our points

I don't know if you'd have to pay taxes & fees for a lap baby. I hope not, since they're not a ticketed passenger.
