I have a 25% off my next grocery order at Shaw's (Albertson's) in the Just for You site. It has a list of exclusions and doesn't seem to say gift cards. It specifically says Visa/MC gift cards are excluded and fuel gift cards. But I didn't see gift cards in general (e.g., a Disney gift card).
Has anyone tried redeeming an offer like this for a Disney gift card?

Interesting offer from Capital One this morning.

Did you know your Contactless Capital One® Venture® Visa® card allows you to simply tap to pay for your purchases? Tapping to pay isn’t just fast, easy and secure—it can also earn you up to a $30 bonus when you tap to pay 3 times each month through January 31, 2020. You don’t need to register or enroll to receive your bonus.

I don't pay much attention to "tap to pay". I've seen it at Costco. Where else?

Ooooh I haven't seen anything on that but I would definitely like to take advantage of it!

After reading Doc's post yesterday about the 50 limit offer in the app, I decided to add a bunch of random offers to open up some space on my offer list. It seems like the website limit is 100. I made room for the new offers this morning!

Since it's the first of the month... Recap of CC accomplishments in October/Plans for November?

October-
1) "Mom" earned her CIC SUB
2) hit OM/OD fairly hard earning "Mom" 10k URs (to me, spending 2K for 10kURs is "hitting hard":rotfl:)
3) 10/29/18 went 6/24

November-
1) Oh my! After a loooong time, I shall be 4/24 11/6/18 so...I think we all know what that means...I'll be applying for the long awaited CIP!
2) If approved, work on CIP MSR

Boring but exciting all the same 🤣

Yesterday I was so busy running around I put 120 miles on the Niro. And, I was watching for other Niro drivers and all I saw was a Prius! Starting to think I had the only one manufactured.

I love this group. Today because I've found another Niro driver. I already love most things with the car. I don't love that my side mirrors lower when I'm backing up, as I'm used to parking in teeny spaces using my own skills, so I'm not even using the back up camera - forget it's there. I'll adapt, I'm sure.

I was going to drive my van even after my purchase, but now I'm driving the Niro.

I would hope there is an option to disable that in settings. I know my Land Rover has that option.

I just recently started tap to pay and it seems like it's all over. I know I did it at quite a few restaurants and TJ Maxx. Sounds like an easy $30 for you, nice!

I wouldn't call getting under 5/24 boring. So exciting for you!!!! Yeah, we definitely aren't heavy hitters in the MS game, but 10,000 URs isn't bad for not a lot of work :-)

Okay, you're right it's super exciting...just that my October was pretty boring CC wise. I'm still sort of in shock that this time next week I'll be under 5/24...it's been a long long long time!

Just saw someone post that regular DAH has been added to MK through May. Mostly on Mondays. DAH and VAH are running simultaneously. DAH at AK has also been extended through May.
Yes!! There's now a regular DAH the week we're going in March in addition to the Wednesday VAH. We will definitely do the DAH :cheer2: Older dd is bummed to not have the Villains theme but she got over that really quick when she learned there are no Villains-themed meet and greets at VAH.
Yes! Since I have 2 and 1/2 years warranty and 52K warranty remaining miles I'll be putting quite a few of my travel miles on the Kia. That also will depend on how many passengers as I probably won't use it if I have 4 passengers as then cargo space is tight for suitcases. (We bring a LOT of stuff.) The big van will still be my Ocean City beach vehicle, unless someone else drives also.
We bought a rooftop carrier to get youngest dd back to school this fall lol
We did the Bernina Express this past summer - it was absolutely gorgeous! The panorama cars can be quite hot in the summer, though, with the sun streaming through the huge windows. The Man in Seat 61 is a great resource for all of the Swiss trains.

(We love trains, and actually did the Gotthard route, Voralpen Express, Glacier Express, and Golden Pass line in addition to the Bernina Express (and a bunch of other train trips). What a beautiful country!)
Those Swiss trains :lovestruc Switzerland and Germany are on our short list after Kenya/South Africa/Zambia and Galapagos.

I just did the same---got some more decent offers (hey oh, another ebags for me to use) but not the Verizon one. Alas.

My Niro has a toggle switch by the side mirror controls in the driver's side door. Does yours look like this? That automatic lowering was driving me nuts too.

We had quite a few little ones right at the beginning while it was still light out. Everyone here sits in their driveway. I loved it. We couldn’t do that in Iowa
I love Halloween, seeing all the kids excited, chatting with the neighbors. We don't have a ton of kids on our street, but the 4 families with elementary kids go out together. Our street is a circle, so some kids from other streets come over to ToT here (We are semi-rural, so there are no sidewalks or street lights, so not safe to ToT on busier roads). This year we let the "big kid" 9yos ToT 1 house behind their younger siblings so they could feel independent! The weather wasn't great but the real rain held out and we got to do the whole street before it got bad.

I have a 2019 Kia Niro Plug-in hybrid and I love it! I still haven't figured out all the bells and whistles on it (apparently I can do remote start but I haven't tried). I loved the heated steering wheel and seat heaters yesterday when it was in the teens outside. I've gone over 4100 miles on 21 gals of gas so far, so I've gotten close to 195 mpg because of the plug in feature and my driving around is mostly on the battery. On hybrid alone it's around 60 mpg. We have solar panels, and surprisingly, I haven't really noticed any notable increase in our electricity usage. It will be interesting to see what happens to the mpg as we head into winter and it gets colder, I expect it will get worse. I thought I would miss my Odyssey more than I do haha.

Sounds like you got a great deal on yours! Our dealer let us put down 5K on a cc too, and I'll be getting almost 10K back as a tax credit from federal and state combined.

I'd like to hear more about the tax credit. Since I really love this car so far I might go for a newer model in a couple years. I have 2 and 1/2 years left on the all around warranty and the powertrain doesn't transfer. With so many tech options, I may want to actually upgrade to a new model in a couple years.

Having it under a full warranty is more important then on my other gas guzzlers where I have several places to get work done inexpensively. And an example, while getting an alignment done on my van I got an $850 estimate for shocks all around at a nationwide shop. I called my independent guy who runs a very reputable business (and takes all credit cards and will split payments) and they called me back with an estimate of $475. I do give them plenty of work but that's a huge difference!

Also, if you figure out the remote start, will you clue me in? There are 3 to 4 inches thick of manuals for all this and they reference going to app videos etc for info. I need a quick lesson, lol, and I've got to get my phone synced today.
The salesman was trying to help me with the phone but got himself too involved in trying to figure out the contact/wifi charge or whatever it is. So many features they just don't know everything. Yesterday I used the charging spot to hold my phone, and voila - it started charging! My guess is the car hadn't moved very much in 19 days and the charge had gone down, but after I drove so much yesterday it's now good to go. I use a charging pad at home also.

Thank you so much! I just haven't had time to look at all these features yet. That helps a lot. There are very few changes since the car came out, so I'm pretty sure it is the same although I haven't looked.
