I’m glad you mentioned this! I have a charity I donate to that does a fundraising drive every Oct and I totally forgot about it!I'm sure many small churches don't do online giving but my church is fairly big. We actually just got online giving a year ago or so and while it feels weird to not put our offering in the plate, I want those cc points![]()
Exactly right! The savings for our fam of 6 on AP's was $2400 this year. Considering our direct was only 12k (and I offset 2k of that with cc bonuses), I cannot see how this was a bad deal in any way. Oh and we can get some hotel nights out of that...bonus!@Judique after repeatedly having the only option to buy a Platinum AP for the 5 of us (or upgrade to it) the AP benefit was the reason I knew I had to have a direct contract and then supplement with resale. They will always remind people that the AP benefit for DVC’s “can disappear at any time and is not guaranteed” but ultimately I figured even if I only got a year or two out of it when you times the number times 5 I was coming out ahead. I know that was part of the reason @wendow bought direct first too.
P.S. I love the picture of your granddaughter. My D8 was inspired by the Costco boy costumes too. She is Amelia Earhart. It is so cute.![]()
This movie made me so sad and mad and sad and mad![]()
Agree. Should have been done at the 2nd.Not really sad, mostly annoyed at how selfish so many of them are including Woody. And the dad stepping on toys. At least I was right in not seeing it in the theatre and getting it from the library.
I thought the 3rd was unnecessary, this one even more.
I don't think the date has to remain the same just the origin and destination. I booked with miles flying into MCO Super bowl week, but we just booked the Allure out of FLL. Obviously no flight changes for us. Weirdly, it was 150 dollars to rent a car at MCO for three days with a drop off at Port Everglades vs 280.00 for a drop off at Port Canaveral. I'm burning through the last of my Hyatt points for 3 nights at the Hyatt Regency Cypress. I love this resort and I'm glad it's not a good neighbor hotel for Disney or the 12k per night would be 25k.Concluded my AA saga with a 15 min phone call to complete my flight change this evening. Top tip: called at like 8pm PST, no wait (despite the recording saying be prepared for long wait times). Most of the time I think the fellow helping me was trying to figure out how to do it (I wanted to change my saver award to a different routing, as long as departure/destination/date are the same I read this is allowed for free). Success! I changed my 3 leg, 12 hour Tour of America to a 2 leg, 7 hour trip from CA to FL.
But after having to call and talk to a person I feel like a Peasant.

How they strayed from Woody's true character made me sad. He spent the first 3 and part of 4 movies being 'all about his kid' and now, he decides to ditch the kid for Bo Peep. Nah. I don't think so.

I really had a feeling that it would be better if I didn't see this movie, and your post has helped me feel that I'm better off remembering the good ones and not bothering with the endless sequels. Sorry you didn't enjoy it. The third one wasn't a movie I'd watch again.
My ds8 picked out that band too. He thinks the movie is great though. I'm dreading that he will put it on his Christmas list and someone will buy and we will be watching it over and over. *I* won't buy it but a grandparent or other fam will, I'm sure.Toy Story 4 really is so bad. D11 picked out the TS4 magic band before we saw the movie. On our trip last week one day I handed it to her when going out the door and she was like “Now I saw the movie I don’t even want this band.” I told her we would pretend the movie wasn’t made. I need to buy her a new one...she was so excited to see it and so sad with the result.
Oh no, I'm so sorry!!! I thought since you were posting, you were done. I apologize for spoilingIt had such mixed reviews I thought it could go either way. But I also felt like the unneeded 3rd finished the story and spoilers @wendow I wasn't finished watching yetbut I agree that that's not a way to end it and I really hope they don't find some stupid reason for yet another movie so the gang can get back together. This felt even more final than the 3rd did.
At least I understand the whole trash thing better now.

I didn't look at the time stamps for when you posted. I thought the 'wanting to turn it off' was long ago lol! It's ok, I think I was almost half done when I said I wanted to turn it off. It didn't change anything but it's also the first time I had seen it mentioned but I think pretty much everyone that was going to see it has.
Fingers crossed there's no TS4 under your tree this year. Tell them to save money and get him a diy forky kit![]()

I like to align them too but I always have to pay a fee....(which is worth it but still)That is exactly why I stopped escrowing a couple of years ago, to meet MSR's. Now I always get an MSR when it's tax time![]()
Twitter hates me.... I've used it like twice, both times trying to resolve a customer service issue. Due to all the chatter her I just got my acct going again....but I rarely try to look at it since I just don't understand how it works. It could just be AA. I tried Twitter a year ago when everyone here said it was great. And crickets...
Tried again for another issue almost a year later, and also no real help at all. I did better complaining on the phone, which is a pain.
Until the deal disappears. Which is likely to happen b/c that's how Disney is in the past few years. This would work if you want the contract anyway regardless of the deal (omg I'm jealous of your pricing lol)Today I decided to check annual pass prices. I have a couple of annual passes from just before the no expiry tickets and all the dated ticket stuff started. My passes are good for 365 days, no blackouts, so it occurred to me that I might want to 'save' them for a trip that might include a black out period, such as Xmas or Easter.
Anyway, a platinum plus with tax is 1298.34. Wow. With DVC it is $999. plus tax.
DVC can buy Gold passes as can Florida Residents. A Gold pass is $699 and $744.44 with tax. So today I checked out my 'offers' and came up with Disney Gift cards that brought my out of pocket cost down to $640.94. I'll use this pass over 3 trips, Nov 2019, Feb 2020, and Oct/Nov 2020. I'll enter a park approximately 25-30 days over these 3 trips. Each trip will have an estimated ticket cost of $213.65. Or possible daily cost of $25.64 assuming 25 entries. I can live with this.
But now I'm thinking that a small DVC contract bought direct to get these benefits still pays off for those that take multiple trips, or even those that overlap one trip per year. The other option is moving to Florida.
For other UR options, there is the Freedom Unlimited, flat 1.5UR/$. It's the card I give my wife and tell her, "If it's not food, use this one." And the Chase Ink Preferred is always a favorite, it's one of the two cards I'm targeting for when I get under 5/24. The other is in the whole other ballgame of AMEX MR, the Blue Business Plus. 2MR/$ on the firsts $50,000. Should pair very nicely with one of the charge cards, which one depends on where your organic spend is.I'm waiting for my SW Perf Biz to re-earn the cp in 2020. I don't know what to do in the mean time. All we have tried for is UR / SW points the last few years. DH and I have both earned the CSR/CSP bonus in the last 48 months and are 3/24 or less, and I have a very old Freedom card. Any other UR options? Is there a recommended waiting period between Chase biz apps? We have multiple rentals that could be considered separate businesses, but I'd prefer to minimize scrutiny.
We used to get a lot of free hotels through Hilton Hhonors amex (still have the free one) but reward nights are crazy now. Is Hyatt or Marriott a more rewarding option now?
