Today I decided to check annual pass prices. I have a couple of annual passes from just before the no expiry tickets and all the dated ticket stuff started. My passes are good for 365 days, no blackouts, so it occurred to me that I might want to 'save' them for a trip that might include a black out period, such as Xmas or Easter.

Anyway, a platinum plus with tax is 1298.34. Wow. With DVC it is $999. plus tax.

DVC can buy Gold passes as can Florida Residents. A Gold pass is $699 and $744.44 with tax. So today I checked out my 'offers' and came up with Disney Gift cards that brought my out of pocket cost down to $640.94. I'll use this pass over 3 trips, Nov 2019, Feb 2020, and Oct/Nov 2020. I'll enter a park approximately 25-30 days over these 3 trips. Each trip will have an estimated ticket cost of $213.65. Or possible daily cost of $25.64 assuming 25 entries. I can live with this.

But now I'm thinking that a small DVC contract bought direct to get these benefits still pays off for those that take multiple trips, or even those that overlap one trip per year. The other option is moving to Florida.

Increased UOAP dining discount from now until 12/20/19. Looks like we are saving 25% on Thanksgiving dinner. Oh, and a special AP entrance line in January.

So here is a question I've been meaning to ask.

I was purchasing some used books online at thriftbooks dot com (free shipping on orders over $15! Saves me the long annoying drive to Bookman's, where I just was last weekend but won't be near again any time soon) and I was going to use Amex. "We're sorry but we don't accept American Express at this time." That was actually surprising to me, because I thought (well, I assumed) that Amex was more widely accepted these days. (I remember all those Olympics commercials when I was younger for Visa and MC... "and they don't take American Express").

So my question for the Amex users here is, where have you tried to use Amex and NOT been able to?

My car insurance. And I was counting on it to hit a MSR. They did take paypal though, so I used by amex through paypal. Hoping it counts...

At the Honda dealership for dd17 to buy her first car. Normally they only allow 1k on a cc, but I asked nicely, since we’re very loyal customers, if I could put more on a cc. The sales lady talked to the higher ups and got permission for us to put the whole $5.8k on two different cc! CIP is done and AA biz almost done!

My biz and personal are separate but I couldn't find any offers on my cip. Are they only on the app for now? I looked on the website.
I've been looking in the app. When it launched for personal cards they were app only for a few months, I assume the biz cards might be too for now. I'm not seeing the offers section on the web in my biz account.
I couldn't find anything on the biz site either.
I'm having a problem that I believe a few of you have had in the past with Amex. I met the MSR on my Delta Biz Plat back in June, but the SUB points have still not posted. I have been inquiring regularly by chat, but they have really just been stringing me along. Finally this morning they said that I didn't receive the SUB because my property tax payment was an ineligible payment. They then showed me the list of ineligible payments upon which they made this determination, and of course property tax payments was not on there. When I pointed this out, they said that my request had previously been raised up to their "internal investigations" team, and they had ruled it ineligible. I asked who I could speak to further about this, and they gave me a snail mail address in El Paso, which turns out to be their "General Inquiries" address. Crazy that in this day and age they ask me to snail mail something in. So I called in and the rep was helpful but gave me the same reason. I also told her that it was incorrect, so she is sending my case back to internal investigations for reconsideration.

Trying to consider next steps if this doesn't work. I don't want to let this go, especially since I haven't done anything here that was against any rules.
This makes me nervous to cancel my Delta Gold. The AF just posted and there is no reason for me to hang on to it as I was approved for the Delta Plat in July. Will they take that in consideration and see the logic or am I running a significant risk of them hating on me?

That's my Disney AP plan also. My time in the parks may actually go down a bit now but I'll still be happy with my ROI :earsboy:.

The other option is moving to Florida.
..or become good friends with someone who can buy the Military Salute Tickets, which are the best deal imho and why when I was going to the parks couldn't ever make DVC math work. WDW may do a lot of things poorly but their military discounts on resorts and park hoppers have been great for years.

No support for AA Citi Biz, correct? I am tapped out on SW Performance spend until Jan, and need to wait until mid Dec for the next SW biz. Hope CIP is still at 80k by the time I'm eligible to apply. Come on BJ's Disney GCs discount, hoping to use the BoA 3+3% match up to $300 cash back. I feel like I'm standing still.

Fixed my oops

If you mean support, that is accurate. We are not allowed to r***** on the Dis.

I know we have some Rothys lovers in the group, I’m looking for the $20 support link if anyone has one they want to share. Feel free to PM me.

Also for the round toe flats- I’m normally an 8 but sometimes an 8.5. Sounds like I should order the 8.5 right?

I stayed at SOG and used them for years. Ex was Navy, now long retired. They are a great deal. Some of my friends came with us a few years back and we used military salute with them on their dime while I shared my DVC. But, in actuality, my 3 trips in a year with overlap, is cheaper than the military prices now. The salute tickets are definitely the answer for people going once or twice a year. But I'd love me some military salute on my off year cycle. That's when I use my non expiry stash.
