I searched this thread looking for an answer, but I'm still a little lost. My DH and I each have had our own SW Premier card for over two years. We would both like to upgrade to the SW Priority card. Are we eligible for the big bonus point offers, or are we ineligible because we are current card holders? Would we have to cancel the Premier accounts beforehand? Would we be better off just upgrading our Premier card account to the Priority card and just getting the 5,000 bonus point offer?
Not knowing much, I would think you would both be better off applying for the new offers. I cant remember if you would need to cancel the old accounts. As long as it's been over 24 months since you received the bonus on your premier accounts you should able to get the priority bonus. For the very best info from the group, it would help if you went to the first page of the thread and a answered the questions there. Just to make sure we dont steer you wrong by not having all of the facts :)

The SW cards you can churn every 2 years based on the date you received the bonus not when you applied. Your best bet is to cancel the cards, wait a week or so (if it has been 2 years since the bonus) and re-apply so you get the bonus. SW, also, has a new biz card with a great sign up bonus of 80k. You might want to check that out. A biz could be almost any side hustle- eBay, FB, yard sale, piano lessons, tutoring, etc.

:offtopic:

Is $59.99 a good deal for a 6qt Insta Pot (Instant Pot brand)?

Amazon
That sounds pretty good to me, I think I paid $60 or so on black friday a few years back. I think that is the model I have except in black. I would just check what the new models can do to see if you want any of thefeatures... I think they are now 10 or 11 in one but I'm not sure what the new functions are

I believe that is around what I paid for mine.

Thank you both! Looks like the Ultra is the latest version (10 in one) but none of the advanced features would really be used in our household. I did a bit more searching and it looks like it’s a good deal but also not unheard of to see it on sale for that. I think I’ll wait, would make a good item on my Christmas list since I’m always lacking ideas to give my family.

I went back as suggested and checked out the beginning of this thread. I'm not sure when we got the SW Premier cards, but know it was over two years ago. We have not applied for any new credit cards since then. We put all purchases we can every month on our SW card and pay it off every month. I'm a little hesitant about cancelling our current Premier card for a couple of weeks, only because I have so many monthly items that are set up to be charged to it automatically.

I'm wondering now about just applying for the business card. I own my own business and my DH has a side business as well. I've never looked into it, as I heard it was very difficult to prove you had a legitimate business, but maybe that isn't the case?

After doing this 2 other times with DDs I seriously offered DS $5000 to only apply to our state school. Unfortunately, he is not taking me up on it

I completely understand...I think I've posted before DD received meals on orange/blue plates with the opposite place mats as well as maroon on yellow for a YEAR! Unfortunately the subliminal advertising didn't work and she's now 1400 miles away. So much for renovating the kitchen and bathrooms...

With great extra curriculars, almost perfect grades and test scores the tears at rejection is something I could do with out again. I tried to give my guidance and opinion on where they should or should not apply, but they don’t listen to me and I let them do the picking. DS I’m afraid is heading down the same path of rejections with his picks so far. I can’t wait for this part to be done already

I feel you-it's so crazy when kids do everything right and the numbers game (which it is in many cases) just works against them. So many qualified applicants, so few spots, so many tears. I hope this year goes well for him and you-it's so hard when they feel "rejected" and okay, technically, they are yet have done what they needed to do. DD's class was horrible-with one headed to Harvard, one to Princeton and one to Cornell, anyone who didn't make the cut was derided. I am so glad it's over and I've told her the is a lot more to life and where you attend school doesn't have to define you. It's a hard year for sure and until you go through it you really don't get just how hard things are now.

Hugs!!

Oh, it is totally not hard for a biz card. Just your name as the business name, SSN and sole proprietorship for the EIN. Some people have used their EIN and business name if they have one but just know that Chase may ask for proof. So the sole proprietor is the easier route to go typically.

I don’t know if you are just looking for the points but the companion pass has been invaluable to our family. We fly at least 5-10 times a year on SW so it is so nice for DS to fly free and only need to use points for 2 tickets instead of 3.

How did Castaway Cay - at 40 miles from the eye - only sustain tropical force winds... when eastern Florida - 80 miles from the eye - is starting to get those gusts now?

The tin hat part of me thinks no one in CC is going to really be able to discuss how terrible it was. I remember last year when someone posted photos on their twitter of the bunker and those were taken down pretty darn quickly...We all love the Mouse but their containment crew is pretty ahem, thorough. Then again, I don't really trust anyone very much :)

Cabin fever is real. I talked dd into heading to the beach (we're just a few miles away) with me this afternoon. It wasn't raining when we left, but when I was parking it started; by the time we got our toes in the sand it was pouring. There were a lot of surfers and plenty of people like us watching the surfers. We both got soaked to the bone and I had to drive home in torrential rain, wind and puddles taking up entire lanes. And it's just starting. Rain has stopped again.....for now.

Do you think they have NDAs? My DN works for Universal and he walked into a room where one of the Asia US was being discussed and was immediately asked if he had one. Since he didn’t have one, they promptly removed him from the room until one was signed.

DME paperwork and tags usually only come about 30 days prior to arrival. Did you do the upgraded MBs? Those ship immediately. Free ones ship at 30 days out.
To the best of my knowledge we do not have any upgraded MBs. We haven't actually been asked by our TA about our preferences for MBs or Luggage Tags at all yet. It's coming from WDW Fulfillment in Orlando according to UPS.

I would think they do or it's strongly suggested they don't talk about stuff. When I've worked in sports even if you don't have an nda, which I don't think I did at any of them, it's known that there's stuff you just don't talk about outside the building/team. They used to do interviews for Nascar staff on the indycar side of the building to help keep the number of people seeing the person down, we only had 3-4 people in the main section of the office, so when I'd see x crew chief come in from another team or someone wearing work clothes from another team I knew what was going on. But most of my friends wouldn't have cared. Though I did have a friend (well we're still friends but she's a sahm now) that worked inside the nascar world but not from a team that would tell me stuff she found out but I again didn't have anyone to tell. And really rumors happened often so it's not like it wasn't going to get out there anyway but it certainly wouldn't be from me :) But if an engineer or mechanic gave notice they were generally shown the door that day too, especially if they were going to another team.

ETA for clarification
