Oh, it is totally not hard for a biz card. Just your name as the business name, SSN and sole proprietorship for the EIN. Some people have used their EIN and business name if they have one but just know that Chase may ask for proof. So the sole proprietor is the easier route to go typically.
I don’t know if you are just looking for the points but the companion pass has been invaluable to our family. We fly at least 5-10 times a year on SW so it is so nice for DS to fly free and only need to use points for 2 tickets instead of 3.
Yes, I had that issue yesterday. Like it’s seeing the iPad login like a login from the app. I have a laptop I was able to use, but it stinks for those who don’t have anything. Plus I’d rather not drag out the laptop.Hmmmm. Don’t know if I missed this change or if it’s brand new, but I just found out one can no longer send a secure message, at least for the CIP, from an iPad. I was able to send one just a couple months ago, but now it seems like it is read only from an iPad. The site is prompting me to sign into my computer to send a secure message. Well, Chase, if I had a computer, I would do that, but I’m an iPad only girl at the moment. And work is really, really strict about personal computer use, so that’s not an option.
You don’t have to use your EIN even if you are an LLC. Don’t use your business name, use your name as the business name and use your business info (type of biz, years in biz etc) People with legit businesses who use the EIN and business name are asked for lots more proof of business than someone who applies as sole proprietorship without an EIN.My business is actually under an LLC. Will that be a problem? I'm assuming then if I go for the business card, then I would have to wait the two years to upgrade our personal to the SW Priority?
As for the companion pass, I've never qualified for one before, but I think I would if I did the 80,000 bonus point offer with the business card. I assume I can use the same RR account for both the personal and business card? Over the next year, we will be flying in December, May, and October. Do I need to time this just right so the companion pass will be able to be used for these trips?

To get the companion pass (CP), you need 110,000 RR points in the same calendar year. This can be done with 1 personal and 1 business SW card. Yes, you need to cancel your current card (temporarily change everything to a different card, put it in the new SW card when it arrives) but it’s worth at least 40k more RR points. If you want the CP for 2020 & 2021, timing needs to be right for application and meeting spend requirements for both personal and biz cards. All points must post in 2020 for them to count towards CP. I believe @SouthFayetteFan has a post outlining this that he may be able to link.
Hang around here a bit and you will find out about cards that will give you better return than putting all your utilities on a SW card.
TAs don't customize MagicBands, you do that through MDE one it is linked. A TA may or may not do DME. If you booked flights with the TA as well it would make sense that he/she automatically does it.To the best of my knowledge we do not have any upgraded MBs. We haven't actually been asked by our TA about our preferences for MBs or Luggage Tags at all yet. It's coming from WDW Fulfillment in Orlando according to UPS.
You have to cancel your current personal to get any other personal. You can get a biz card while still keeping your personal. But to get the CP pass you need 110,000 RR points, which leaves you 30k points short if you get the highest biz card bonus (80k)So, if I'm understanding correctly, even if I only get the business card, I still have to cancel my current personal SW Premier Card? Or do I only need to cancel it if I'm getting the SW Priority card?

ETA: You could get a SW Biz Card then switch your bills to that when it arrives. Then cancel your personal SW card so you can reapply for a personal card.

WDW Fulfillment sounds like a MB order to me, but they usually come USPS parcel post![]()
I feel like I should have been totally grossed out but 1) I've never been to Whataburger & 2) the guy who filmed this was so funny I just couldn't stop laughing when I saw it on FB. That said, had I actually been in the restaurant at the time, bye.Did someone mention Whataburger?
Same. Delta, too.Have you DM’d them on Twitter? Seems to be where I’ve had the most success with UA. And you should push to be refunded however you paid- points will come back as points and if you paid with a cc push for the refund to your cc.
ETA: Just read their contract of carriage explaining a travel voucher for when they cancel your flight. Ouch![]()
Yes, adding to the confusion. The tags usually coordinate with the MB colors selected. Unless all the tags that come are gray? The "magical extras" card for packages also gets shipped out, but again with MBs. I am very curious as to what it may beDid you book a package? It could be your luggage tags (not DME but bonus tags they give for booking a package) although I thought those usually came with your MBs.
Yes, if you have earned 48k points, you could apply for either SW Biz card and end up with enough miles to qualify for CP for the rest of 2019 and all of 2020. If you wait to apply for 2 cards in 2020, the CP would be good for 2020 & 2021. Also, there are 2 SW Biz cards, so if you wouldn’t use the perks or don’t want to spend the $199 annual fee, there is the SW Premier Biz Card, which would earn you 60k bonus and have $99 annual fee.I just checked my account, and it says I've earned 48,000 RR points towards a companion pass, so the 80,000 bonus should qualify me, right? I would probably just keep my current SW personal card, and then reapply for the Priority next year to try and get another companion pass, if I'm understanding all of this correctly!

I found that out the other day when I was trying to lowering CLs. It’s a pain. Luckily, I have a personal laptop so I sent it from there and then you can respond the SM on the iPad. Really, really stupid! Pretty sure my iPad is secured better than the laptop.Hmmmm. Don’t know if I missed this change or if it’s brand new, but I just found out one can no longer send a secure message, at least for the CIP, from an iPad. Ideally to maximize the time you have a CP, you apply for the cards in October/November but not meeting the spending requirements until January (or after December statement closes) Once you meet the spending requirements (MSR) in January, your points will post to your RR account and you will have the CP for for 22-23 months (depending on when points all post.). Some people alternate between partners, meaning you get CP pass for 2020/2021, then your DH would do the same for 2022/2023, pretty much always giving you a CP.Oh wow! I assume RR points towards the companion pass reset in January? And the companion pass is good for the remainder of the current year and then the following year? So I would need to apply for the SW business and personal cards in January to be able to use them for 2020 and 2021?
Our TA doesn't put anything into our DME until after she books our fastpasses, which is end of this month. My wife reached out to her to ask what it might be and the TA's speculation is that it is the hard tickets for MVMCP.Yes, adding to the confusion. I eat it on toast, on carrots, and all by itself!I am obsessed with peanut butter. But I eat it on frozen waffles. Well toasted of course![]()
Waiiiit. I can use AA miles for something at WDW?I can't combine AA points, correct?
So, if I think I'm going to need to book 2 rooms using AA I can just accumulate for both of us. I really should make one of the kids do it since the room would be for them.
I know I want to do WDW during the holiday season 2020, most likely attending a party. What do you think is the best time to go? I was thinking Nov, but after seeing this year's softball schedule I'm leaning toward waiting until December. I know January is cold and it was a long time ago when we did a December trip so I don't really remember the weather. Which week next year would you choose?
My plan is to get a 2 bedroom DVC, then use AA to supplement the week. I think I want BW for DVC and then maybe, hopefully, a MK resort on AA miles.
