I remember last year when someone posted photos on their twitter of the bunker and those were taken down pretty darn quickly...We all love the Mouse but their containment crew is pretty ahem, thorough. Yes, it seems you have 30 days for the full refund and then after that it is prorated with Chase. I believe @wendow was actually able to PC past 30 days and get a full refund on a Chase card?

I don't see any issue in waiting that long! One of nice and unique things about DL compared to WDW.

After doing this 2 other times with DDs I seriously offered DS $5000 to only apply to our state school. Unfortunately, he is not taking me up on it. Lol I limited the other to 5 apps only. Well, 6 if you count our home university, as that one was free. Between the application, sending scores if needed, and the CSS profile, also don’t get me started on paying to apply for financial aid, grrrr I truly detest College Board, at about $100 per app 5 was just my limit. With great extra curriculars, almost perfect grades and test scores the tears at rejection is something I could do with out again. I tried to give my guidance and opinion on where they should or should not apply, but they don’t listen to me and I let them do the picking. DS I’m afraid is heading down the same path of rejections with his picks so far. I can’t wait for this part to be done already.

I completely understand...I think I've posted before DD received meals on orange/blue plates with the opposite place mats as well as maroon on yellow for a YEAR! Unfortunately the subliminal advertising didn't work and she's now 1400 miles away. So much for renovating the kitchen and bathrooms...


I feel you-it's so crazy when kids do everything right and the numbers game (which it is in many cases) just works against them. So many qualified applicants, so few spots, so many tears. I hope this year goes well for him and you-it's so hard when they feel "rejected" and okay, technically, they are yet have done what they needed to do. DD's class was horrible-with one headed to Harvard, one to Princeton and one to Cornell, anyone who didn't make the cut was derided. I am so glad it's over and I've told her the is a lot more to life and where you attend school doesn't have to define you. It's a hard year for sure and until you go through it you really don't get just how hard things are now.

My first was by far the worst, mostly because I had so little understanding of how the financial aid system works. I still don't understand how a college can give you $50,000 a year in loans and say that they are "meeting financial need." I am thankful that my kids accepted (although not without some tears) that that was a terrible idea. They also understood that they were likely going into fields that would require graduate degrees -- and then Harvard would pay them to attend. I must have said "You can go there for graduate school" a hundred times, but it did sink in. I really don't know what DH and I would have done if one of them had dug in their heels and said "I simply must go to school X and I am willing to take out $200,000 in loans to do so." I think we all would have ended up in therapy (which we probably could have used as it was).

Well DD3 and I are at AofA. Flight was on time and only 63 people onboard. hahahahaha

I grabbed our suitcase b/c I am impatient and we hopped on the bus. AofA was the first stop. Score!!!

The room ready text came through while we were in the air. LM room that I paid about $67 for after the coupon and rebate site thru PLE.

We haven't explored, since we unpacked and I had DD3 lay down for a nap, but so far my thoughts are the room is fine, esp for the price and the resort is cute. DD3 loves it, of course! That makes it all worthwhile to me.


I think we are doing the MNSSHP tonight. I am assessing the weather before I make a decision, so haven't bought tickets yet. I might bus to Epcot, scan in, then hop the monorail to the party. I want those coasters!

Have you DM’d them on Twitter? Seems to be where I’ve had the most success with UA. And you should push to be refunded however you paid- points will come back as points and if you paid with a cc push for the refund to your cc.

ETA: Just read their contract of carriage explaining a travel voucher for when they cancel your flight. Ouch

Hmmmm. Don’t know if I missed this change or if it’s brand new, but I just found out one can no longer send a secure message, at least for the CIP, from an iPad. I was able to send one just a couple months ago, but now it seems like it is read only from an iPad. The site is prompting me to sign into my computer to send a secure message. Well, Chase, if I had a computer, I would do that, but I’m an iPad only girl at the moment. And work is really, really strict about personal computer use, so that’s not an option.

I am looking into applying for CIP myself, but other than some FB marketplace sales, I don't have much of a side business. I am 4/24 so I would like to hold off on another personal card for myself in case DH has issues with the SW CP plan below and I "need" to apply for that in a few months.

Alternatively I can have DH apply for CIP. I plan to have him open a personal and a business SW card in Dec/Jan to get the CP (he is 1/24 personal and 1/24 business), so I don;t want to do a CIP for him now if it would make it harder to get the SW (we have 2020 travel plans for the CP, so that is a priority).

You can apply for the Chase CIP with the FB sales you have...doing what you mentioned first and last name only as the business name and SS number as the EIN...I sell on eBay and have used that information to be approved.

If your DH applies for a CIP now he will be fine with the SW cards the end of the year/ beginning of next

I searched this thread looking for an answer, but I'm still a little lost. My DH and I each have had our own SW Premier card for over two years. We would both like to upgrade to the SW Priority card. Are we eligible for the big bonus point offers, or are we ineligible because we are current card holders? Would we have to cancel the Premier accounts beforehand? Would we be better off just upgrading our Premier card account to the Priority card and just getting the 5,000 bonus point offer?

You would not get the big bonus by upgrading....you would need to cancel your current Premier card before applying for the Priority...since Chase only allows one SW personal card to be open...

Do you think they have NDAs? My DN works for Universal and he walked into a room where one of the Asia US was being discussed and was immediately asked if he had one. Since he didn’t have one, they promptly removed him from the room until one was signed.

I wouldn't be surprised...when we went to CC the first time I tried to pin the CM down on their waste disposal on CC (when I lived on another Caribbean island the civil engineer told me where the treated water was discharged) because I have a lifelong desire to know where the goes. She was so very vague and squirrely I'm sure there are items that cannot be discussed as well as a formal NDA, especially for CMs who live on the island.

@Alexle2007 our backstage magic guides said that posting any backstage photos is a fireable offense. That would make me think that extends to DCL, CC, etc

I’m not sure we’re going to drive back for that. Maybe we’ll go tomorrow but I wish they could’ve told me that today. I asked two different people and they both said they were out and aren’t getting any more
