haha, ive been flying every airlines lately to see what each one is like... Delta, AA, United, SW...
Was very sour when United only serve water... lol

Seriously? We got a choice of stroopwafels, Biscoff cookies, or pretzels, and a soft drink, juice, or water on our most recent SFO-SNA flight, and that's only short-haul.

yup. Flight attendants just walked down the aisle with a water bottle and cups... this was LAX-->LAS though. I did SNA-->LAS with SW and got a cup of OJ!

So, dumb question.

Those of you taking advantage of no-fee Visa gift card promotions and such- is it only those of you who are using Serve/MSing who are buying them, or are there those who are just buying them to use for other purposes? Maybe buying Disney GCs (can you do that?) or giving them as gifts or....?

I was just looking at my IHG account, at my reservation for this weekend in Chicago, since we are still going for 2 of the 3 nights. We booked a King Deluxe room, as that is what you can get with a free night cert. But in looking today, my stay says River View Deluxe King, so I called to confirm. They have us booked into a high floor (upgrade) River View (upgrade) Deluxe King!!! I never get upgrades like that, very happy! And it's our anniversary this weekend too, so happy anniversary to us :-)

The primary purpose is for those doing MS. A secondary purpose can be for people who are stretching to hit an MSR. You can just buy VGCs and then use them on your everyday purchases after the MSR period is over. A 3rd reason could be if you're working on the MSR on a personal card and didn't want to add your spouse as an AU - you could give them VGCs to use for their purchases in lieu of an AU card.

DHs brother now has him convinced that any motel style room at WDW won't be safe.
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but honestly I'd look at cancelling your trip. We are desparately trying to get out of Florida at this point. We can't get a flight anywhere either tomorrow or Saturday. I've tried Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Denver and LA.

Thank you! Trying to figure out if that's something I need to do!

I'm just now getting around to looking at the Delta vacation packages. Seems like a pretty good deal if you haven't flown Delta in 20 years and have Delta miles sitting around like I do :headache: I was too busy to keep up with the chatter when y'all were all discussing this a few days ago. Did we ever get an idea what this means:

"If you cancel your reservation, miles will not be redeposited into your SkyMiles account. The SkyMiles account holder will receive a Delta Vacations voucher for the value of the miles at the time of they were applied to the booking as payment. "

https://frequentmiler.boardingarea.com/problems-with-banking-skymiles-via-delta-vacations/There is a trip insurance you can add...as well as putting some on the CSR.

Now that the option has come up to move our United flight, I'm looking at moving it to Sat night or Sun morning...

I'm basically just sticking with my Tues pm-Sat pm at this point. There is so much uncertainty still, anything can happen. For me there is no rush to decide since I am flying SW and can cancel flights and my resort is non refundable so I will have to submit a CC trip claim. I can't think of any adjustments to guarantee that I will get to go, so may as well leave it alone. We were so excited, too.:sad2:

Seriously? I have a family member with chronic issues from Lyme disease (it was diagnosed too late for the antibiotics to kick in before his many issues did) and he was very young and healthy when it happened. I had no idea that it "doesn't exist." Hugs to you and your DD - I know how debilitating Lyme can be.
I’m not sure why someone would be told there’s no such thing. It’s on the CDC website as Post Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome

Remind me - what is your origination city? You don't care where you go - you just want out of FL and Dorian's path, right?

True, although airplane food isn't always the greatest. EC+ in DL has a snack basket and then the trolley for another snack and many of us I believe eat prior to boarding. So choosing a meal in the airport or filling up in the lounge versus a meh airplane meal isn't make or break for me. Also, DL has seatback IFE (usually, and especially transcontinental) and usually power portals unlike AA-those are more important in my flight.
AA is usually cheapest for us and we flew it to Germany. The entertainment was great and they fed us quite a bit (including ice cream!). Is DL better domestically? We are an economy family but I’m willing to pay a little more if the quality is noticeably better.

We are in Miami and will be staying. I’m “essential” at my office so will need to report very soon after it’s over (not really essential, they just want everyone there). It’s a university and they’ve already canceled classes starting tomorrow at noon - hopefully schools won’t follow suit. I’m nervous as we don’t have shutters or impact windows since we are starting an addition soon. Maybe we will go to my parents house if need be. I just want to be where there is AC.
