I feel like that’s me every time I go to Disney lol. I’m always like “we’re going to take it easy” and then I get there and I’m like “if we speedwalk across the park we can get on Space Mountain with a 20 minute wait”

Yep that’s legit me lol. Dh gets so annoyed. He’ll be like, “We have APs now and have been on this too many times”. I just get so caught up in the rush 😆

We were just there with 7 park days planned. With our shiny new AP's, we ended up going in another day for a half day. And even with commando park touring, we never slowed down lol. I always have high hopes that we will do more relaxed touring but my family doesn't know the meaning of that. I was worried stopping to meet @afan was gonna get my dh all worked up because it was the morning of our first day and that is when my dh is most hyper about rushing everywhere. He was fine with it though :)

Lol, that was us for YEARS. We finally slowed down a bit when we started going by ourselves without kids.

We actually found Disney APs refreshingly different. We just show up for our first FP around noonish and leave after the last FP. In between we take it easier than before, checking out things we never noticed before (Phineas & Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure, A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas, EPCOT Summer Music, the miniature maze at UK, mouse and rat spotting-yes the four-legged ones we saw at Mexico, Japan, and Pandora). Of course we are also snacking/eating along the way. Has Steamboat Willie been talked about here?

I'm having a little memory lapse regarding authorized user accounts and 5/24. If I add my P2 as an authorized user to a CFU opened in 2016, will it count against her 5/24? I think it will not count because the card was opened more than 24 months ago, but I cannot remember how this works.

People are going to be boycotting Epcot now that you've posted Steamboat Willie's picture and location! Just to add to the uninvited guest theme, somewhere I have a pic of a snake crawling along near the store as you exit through International Gateway with a CM guarding it and waiting for animal control.

The physical cards don’t matter if your flying. Annoying that DS card didn’t come in but if he’s been approved his number is active for PreCheck.

I forgot to mention that it’s not just the card, DS is stuck at conditionally approved. The CBP agent said we were all approved and his was pending. But that it’s fine, it just does that sometimes. I thought it would go through soon after.

My first thought when his card didn’t come was did nothing get saved and I have to take him in again?? But searched online and seems it’s not uncommon. Eventually it goes through, or contacting them makes it go through.

Yes, AUs for personal cards count for 5/24 calculations.

For that particular CFU, no it won’t. As you said, it was opened more than 24 months ago, and when you add an AU it will show up on the AUer’s personal credit reports but the AU card will have the original date of opening in 2016.

Just don’t do this for an Amex card, because while an Amex AU will share the same “Member Since” as the primary cardmember, Amex does not backdate the card opening date when they report the AU to the AUer’s credit report; Amex reports the date when the AU is opened.

Wow. Now you gotta find the picture for us.
That reminds me of a snake we saw at the Outdoor Movie once at Wilderness Lodge, but that just seemed to add to the ambiance.

PS Hope I didn't break some unknown rule with Steamboat Willie :worried:

DH and I were so excited to find that a couple years ago! It’s tough to spot but really cool.

Anybody here following the D23 DIS thread. It’s just a sea of negativity. Just reaffirms why this thread is the best corner of the DIS :D
I read a little and gave up. This morning I read in the News thread your comments about a "respectable" blogger but was a day behind so couldn't back you up. I didn't even read the tweet but Thanks for trying to keep it classy!

Along with your Hyatt card comes status. Do you stay at Hyatt hotels? If you've already paid this year's annual fee, there's no harm in keeping it until closer to your 24 month churning point. Some people have been able to do M Life matches and get to Globalist status. My little Discoverist status got me an ocean view and a couple bottles of water, plus the staff were super friendly to me and very accommodating. If you are one and done and don't want to pay a fee until you get a new sub and don't have any plans for any Hyatt stay, then let it go. Also, did you get and redeem your free night award yet for your first year?
I haven't checked my account for the free night, but it should be there. Not sure when or where I'll use it -- I always found redemption on it to be hard (I recall using previous certificates at the Hyatt in Cambridge and Hyatt Boston, both of which were nice).

FWIW, I haven’t seen any DPs of bonus denials after not getting the pop up since Amex paid out denied bonuses back in March.

As you may recall, the no pop up bonus denial was a thing Amex was doing under their “sole discretion” language, and no one could be sure whether they’d get the SUB until it actually posted. I know a few of us got hit with that. This seems to have prompted some complaints to CFPB and arbitration. For whatever reason, it seems Amex gave up on this tactic, as there haven’t been any recent reports of it happening, and ultimately paid out the denied bonuses.

My guess is if you don’t get the pop up on an app, even if you use @Albort’s workaround, and you meet the MSR, Amex won’t (can’t?) deny you the SUB and the bonus will post timely (barring glitches in Amex IT).

I know @schmass tried @Albort’s workaround and is about a month into MSR. She could probably provide a DP soon.
Hi, I’m 30 pages behind here as we’re in WDW but just logged in and saw your tag.

Yes, DH received the pop up when I tried to get him a Hilton card but immediately after I referred him to the BBP and he got approved for that with no issues. We have been trying to spend on his Hilton Biz for the free weekend night so we haven’t met the MSR on the BBP yet. When we do, I’ll be sure to post about the bonus.

Thanks for all the love! This truly is the best place on the internet.
We are at Homecomin' right now waiting for our chicken biscuits based on the recommendations here.

I regret not getting the CSR also. I'm planning on upgrading one of our CSP to one in a few months.
Did you get the mac and cheese? First timer in July. Whoa!

Hello. I am thinking of reserving the Hardrock Hotel Orlando through Priceline because they have a great deal on a 2 bedroom suite. However, never used Priceline and I am a bit skeptical. Anyone have experience with using Priceline for hotels? Any warnings? Also, would Priceline count under travel for my CIP? I'm guessing yes but you never can be too sure.

Thanks in advance!
