Let’s hope @SouthFayetteFan doesn’t have another shopping crisis come November when he has to actually pay for some basic toiletries.
:rotfl2:
Totally off-topic but I'm sure you'll all get a kick out of this here...

I'm not big on shopping...so when I buy something, I usually buy a lot of it so I don't have to shop frequently. It probably also won't surprise you that I price shop everything and take forever to make a decision....I can spend 30 minutes making a decision over $0.50!

Well today was Deodorant day... My supply is running low so I headed to Walmart which is right next to my Giant Eagle (grocery store) to make this all-important purchase! I first ducked into Giant Eagle just to comparison shop (and this is after I also looked up some prices online before I headed to the store). I'll spare you the nickels and pennies of my analysis but Walmart was the winner. I'll also spare you how I went back and forth a dozen times on brands as well (basically debating if switching from the one I currently use was worth it over $0.68...somehow I convinced myself to stick with the tried and true product)....

So anyway...as any normal male would do, I had no cart, no basket...and who cares. I proceeded to grab four 2packs of the deodorant I had settled on and 4 individual antiperspirants that are for use on especially sweaty days. (Yes I know this is way more detail than you wanted). And so I proceeded to carry 12 deodorant cartridges (is that the word??) cradled in my arms, up to the register and plop them down on the belt. I'm thinking nothing of this activity at all as this could be a 12+ month supply for me which is exactly how I like to shop.

Well, the look a young 20-something Walmart register operator gives you when you purchase 12 things of deodorant...let's just say it's a little strange. She's thinking "how sweaty is this dude"...or "does he eat this stuff or something". So uhh I think I became my own "person of walmart" meme today...

But hey, it's $25 towards my MSR and I'm set on the deodorant front for a year probably!

I went to Safeway this morning and have liquidated the 2 $100s at DG and FD on my way home from outlets. I had gotten DS Old Navy uniform pants but they feel awful so I got him RL khakis. I have his Mbappi jersey all wrapped from him to open this afternoon. His drop-off this morning was horrible but, luckily, it only took 15 min to get him into school with his anxiety. I am letting DH do the morning from now on.

We are having a great time in London! :lovestruc

To keep this on topic...

A Harry Potter character everyone on the thread can relate to. Our #1 man - a goblin bank teller. You just know this guy's a churner.

And, thanks to one of my birthday presents from DF, we know exactly what kind of cards he's churning!

DF said he got this on Etsy. Is there a more perfect gift for one of us? I think not :lmao:
Neat!

Can you just pay in the office and swipe multiple cards? Serves them right for not taking Amex. Lol
Lol, this is a good idea (and I would totally do the multiple swipes!), but nope. Billing will be located offsite and nobody in the office will be able to even see it. So they won't be able to accept any payments in the office, and you have to call central billing with any questions about your bill. I would think the receptionist was misinformed, except that's exactly how it works for her doctors that are already under this company. I think this company's mission in life is to prevent people from using Amex to pay.

Do you mean the bank bonus? If so, I opened an account on June 6, had 2 legit direct deposits of $2,050 on June 28 and July 15. $300 Bonus posted yesterday (8/22).
Thanks! That was exactly what I was looking for. I just had my 1st real DD today. One more to go in 2 weeks. Now to wait for the funds to transfer back to real place.

I hope you don't like the body lotion... reports on the DIS show it isn't being left in rooms and some housekeepers are saying there isn't any ☹
Well - I never really did the body lotion before but I regret it now. That could help me cover up the stench when I run out of soap - right @Lain??

Don’t forget to map out the Safeways and set up J4U accounts for your traveling party! 🤣
That was the time burner a few days ago! There is a Safeway in Frisco that I will be stopping by and using the app for me and DH who will be waiting in the car (well the car back in Ohio that is!).

Raise is having a 7% off every gift card sale with Sunny7. I bought a $100 Disney gift card for $93 and went through Ebates for 1% back. I used a VGC that I got from the Safeway VGC save $15 promo.

Tagging @wendow

Saw this on DoC: Today (only) Raise is 8% cash back at TopCashBack. Stack with the SUNNY7 7% promo on Raise - good use of those MGGCs.

How many biz cards would you have open if you went for a CIP today and the SW Performance in two months? What other cards did you open in the past 24 months, by month and year? (What are you planning to do for the additional ~30k RR points needed for a CP?) The 3 months wait in between apps (particularly biz apps) is a conservative recommendation. You could do 2 months, but that depends on your overall velocity and other factors, and your tolerance for risk. If the SW Performance will be your ≥4th open biz card, it’s possible it’ll get approved, but the more Chase biz cards you have open the lower your likelihood of approval probably is going to be on the next one because how much credit (and credit cards) do you need Chase to give you for your small business? You can mitigate some of that by closing biz cards that are over a year old that you won’t be using. Or slashing your credit lines on the open biz cards to like $500 or $1k, but this will make them more difficult to PC to other cards later. If your personal card limits are a bit high, maybe look into cutting those by $5k or something you’re comfortable with. All that said, many folks here have 4 open Chase biz cards; and many of the heavy hitters on r/churning have 5 or 6 open Chase biz cards.

I'm kind of in the same boat as @Sarah_B - I really would like to go for the SW Performance card before the 80k SUB expires, but that would mean only 2 months,1-2 weeks since my last Chase biz app. Maybe more concerning is I'll still have 4 open Chase biz cards (1 personal card), all opened within the last 12 months:

11/2/18 CIP #1
2/4/19 CIC
5/5/19 CIP #2
8/6/19 CIP #3

I was planning on closing CIP #1 and then applying for the SW Perf Biz in Nov and not meeting the spend until Jan, then going for the old SW biz in Feb/Mar to get the CP. I wonder if we'll know before the Oct promo ends what the new SUB will be?

@speedyfishy or any other Serve gurus out there - Is $500 the limit of what can be loaded on a Serve card at one time or in a day? I have 3 $200 MCGC's and 1 $100 MCGC's to load, and I'm trying to decide how to split them up. My first Serve load I just did the $200 gc and then asked to do another transaction so I did $400 in one trip, but with two loads. Also wondering if DG or FD allows multiple swipes? TIA!

Okay, I have to admit that I also like the little bars of soap and may or may not have a stash in our bathroom. Just another daily reminder of fun times at Disney. I also love the little orange bottles with body wash that have a grapefruit scent and only have a couple of those left. I think that is enough confessions for today!
Finishing off our grapefruit scented body wash now - well, not NOW lol - I prefer the newer marine scent. I even ordered some off Amazon but it's not the same as what is in the resorts.

I also love the small bars of soap from Disney. I snag as many as I can while there. I love the scent, memories from Disney and really, they just fit better in my hand than any other bar :)

You can load up to $2500 a day with serve. I got to know my cashiers before doing multiple loads at once. You may get a cashier that doesn’t want to do the loads or asks to see the cards if you try and do that much starting out, but serve won’t limit it.

I think the last grapefruit I got was in 2016 from the Poly. I also prefer the Sea Marine and Sea Salt product line. My mom loves using them in between trips like many others here. She ran out and I had to order her some from Disney. The AP 20% and discounted gift card helped a little.

That seems about right or might have been 2017?? I liked it okay and then fell in love with the sea marine scent so I put all the grapefruit ones aside. I found them recently and didn't have the heart to throw them away so decided to just use them up. Consistency and smell are fine.

What is weird is that other H2O products on Amazon from the same line that is sold in the resorts are identical (and much cheaper!) but the shampoo and conditioner is not the same. People say it's the same in the comments but they aren't. I read some comments that made me wonder if the shampoo and conditioner are the same as what is on DCL.
