Here’s a new one: someone I went to high school with just messaged me on Facebook asking for advice on going to Disney World. Specifically, he wanted to know if I thought he’d get in trouble for bringing edibles into the park.

I think it’s easier to ask for two separate loads. One of my favorite Walmart cashiers swiped four different serve cards for me today and I loaded each for $200. It took awhile for me to build up to that. She is awesome so I filled out the survey with my receipt. I read they get a $5 lunch credit for each good survey. I’ll try and do one everyday that I have her.

She said she didn’t know how, so just did 2 transactions. But with lower denomination GCs, it takes a while.

Is Tuesday the day that the Chase referrals post?

Worried because DH hasn't received anything from when I used his CSP referral and now he doesn't have a CSP anymore.

My CIP referral was delayed last week. Checked at 6pm on Tuesday and nothing. I noticed it came through late Thursday/early Friday. Fingers crossed you see the 15,000 soon!

I got told the same thing last night for dh’s citi biz. Chatted again later and rep said was closed but I don’t think it is. Second time this has happened to you. What part of “your account has successfully been closed” do they not really mean?!?

Oooh! I thought Dramamine was only made with Dimenhydrinate! This could make mescaline easier to find in a pinch, I’ve always ignored Dramamine!

You have to make sure and read the label because while some places carry more than one it's not necessarily the one with meclizine. Though there's a generic Kroger that is, I think it's 1.99 for 8 tabs which is what I had been doing until they weren't restocking fast enough and I finally thought to look on Amazon. 5ish for 100 is so much better and made me feel stupid for not thinking to look there sooner since I get a lot of my vitamins etc there or at Cotsco.

You really want to make sure the label says meclizine and not mescaline. If Disney frowns on bringing in CBD oil, they really aren't going to like you bringing in peyote.

Not really although my ex rents so he can move.

Really trying to pull myself together. Thankfully my mom is taking care of my kids. This feels like the straw that broke the camel’s back and I can’t stop crying.

I’m really sorry it didn’t work out. Are there no other private schools, maybe small ones? I just went through this with my youngest (he’s still little - 7) because the public school last year was just a waste of a year for him. Its so hard trying, hoping, and praying that you make the right choices for them. Look into all state funding as well, any charter schools? Here in FL, any diagnosis allows you to “shop” schools in and out of your district plus provides funding if you decide to go private.

@havaneselover would virtual school for a semester while you look for more options be possible? I of course don’t know the specifics for your son, but my friend’s daughter did virtual school for a year and she had a private tutor come by for some hours during the week and had a nanny/babysitter (weird to say nanny for a 13 year old) for the rest of the work hours. The nanny took her to field trip type things so they weren’t home all day. My friend’s daughter has significant social anxiety that plays into her school performance so while they looked for a smaller school that she’d feel comfortable in this was what they did. I’m sorry you are in this position and hope y’all find the perfect fit soon!

FT with a not so rosy outlook on flying AA in the near term. I recall reading about the mechanics having to stop the work slowdown. The obvious conclusion is AA claims they aren’t abiding by the ruling. I didn’t know about the catering issues as well- not that anyone eats much domestic airline food (when it’s on offer lol) anyway. On the bright side much is being blamed on weather so CSR/P travel insurance will pay out!

I sat on the tarmac at PHL for weather for two hours last Thursday night. There was no bad weather.

Back when DISchurners was formed in the fall of 2017, we initially had an introduce yourself thread. Our group has grown tremendously since then. One of the reasons our group is so successful is the tight knit community we have assembled. Unlike r/churning and FlyerTalk which are largely impersonal, our group feels like family. The best way to encourage this culture is to know each other beyond the surface level of "I have a CIP, what's next?"

Thus, I created a new thread this evening that I'd encourage everybody to post in:
DISchurners - Introduce Yourself... v2.0

This thread can serve as a great way to talk a little bit about yourself. The reason we'll put this on DISchurners is that it will be an easy way for newbies a month or two down the line to even jump in and learn about us and/or share about themselves. Unlike the DIS (which makes it hard to go back and find comments on a particular topic within a thread this large), reddit is setup well for this.

Things you might want to address:

• Start with your DISboards name (especially if it's different than your Reddit name)
• How old are you (or how old do you profess to be, LOL)
• Who does your family and/or travel party consist of?
• Where do you live?
• Where did your username come from?
• How long have you been churning?
• What do you consider your areas of churning expertise to be?
• Give a little of your churning history: how many cards have you gotten, any particularly proud "churner" moments
• What are some of your favorite travel destinations OR your aspirational travel goals?
• What other (non-churner) stuff would you like to share?

Why are you nervous to post there? This isn’t “scary” r/churning that we talk about (and make fun of) at times. r/DISchurners ONLY consists of the people right here on our thread. It’s a private group and we only allow people to join who found us through the DIS so it’s just an extension of our thread here.

That said, there isn’t really much of a reason to post there usually. It’s just a repository of our best tips from the thread, the news thread with highlights and a way to share support links. BUT, this new thread I mentioned above is worth posting in. We’d love to know more about you - so consider jumping in and sharing

You’re welcome! I can understand where the confusion could come in. We often refer to the subreddit r/churning simply as “reddit” because that’s where much of our info comes from. When we say “DISchurners” though or refer to our private Reddit group we mean our group and that is a safe place to post where you won’t be flamed or judged (just like here on the thread).

So strange. I tried to chat yesterday for them to close it but after 2 tries and no chat response, I took the survey and gave them negative feedback when I did the survey and let me know I was trying to close my account but no one responded to my chat. I was Just going to try again and DH’s account is closed. Yay!

Lol, funnily enough I hung out with a lot of those types even though I’ve never drank or smoked (or eaten edibles lol) in my life. Now I get to see at least one of their names come across my desk about once a month
