Also, my other group are slowly confirming the the Uber trick seems to be dead. Lots of ppl are having issues on how the credit is being used, ie they want to use the expiring uber monthly credit, but it ends up using the non-expiring uber credit. They believe there was some UI changes in the back that doesnt allow it anymore.

Caught up. Not felt as far north as Tahoe. It was felt in the middle of the Central Valley where I’m from but not at damage levels.

Sounds like there's some fairly significant damage in Ridgecrest. Rock slides, grocery store ceiling collapses, fires, power outage etc.

Shallow and rolling aren't good which is what this was. Been lots of aftershocks too and there was a 4 something before the 6.4.

The geology class I took in college took us on an earthquake field trip throughout SF and the area to see how garages on houses in the city are no longer usable because of the sinking because of the fill which isn't good for earthquakes all the way out to near half moon bay where the fault goes through.

The worry about them is always in the back of your mind since all you can do is prepare unlike a storm where you have warning. And the longer we go without one on certain faults the more you wonder.

It'll be interesting to learn more about this fault, how long it is, when the last major quake on it was etc. And if the fault is connected to any others that could either release pressure or cause issue.

I need a way to the airport from BW in mid July. Myself and DD3, so a carseat is helpful, but I could always lug one along if I must. I am scared of uber and lyft alone with her, even if that is irrational. I looked at minnie vans and happy limo. Rental cars are about $265 for the trip, plus parking it. I guess I could price a one way from dolphin though. Any other ideas I am overlooking?

ETA: Looks like $70 one way from dolphin to mco for a couple hours, so may as well do happy limo in that case.

Ohhhhh CIPpy cup! Ok.... I hit MSR on my CIP (well I will before the due date thanks to property taxes)..... now to refresh- y'all are recommending more CIP,not CIU CIC? using same info as last app- space by at least 3 months? ------ I wouldn't refer myself anyway right? Against the rules?
Just trying to keep the details straight. Do you think odds are good for me and P2 both? he got CIP in Feb- referred me June 1, he'll be 4/24 in August.
So I was thinking our next steps is I refer P2 for another CIP in August,then he can refer me back from his CIP#2 for my CIP#2 (if all this works?) I have a hard time wrapping my head around this,it seems too simple.... do I have it right?

You definitely should self-refer to another CIP over CIU and CIC right now. If the CIPpy cup ever tips over and stops working...CIC and CIU will still be available to you AND self-refer is not an issue at all!

I'm up for a new chase biz. Trying to decide btwn the new SW biz or another CIP. I SM'd to decrease some CLs today.

Just got a unique code for a Universal Stay. You have to call a phone number. Can't book it online. Rates for Cabana Bay minimum 3 nights starting at $99 and on up in price for other hotels. Travel 8/11 to 12/19 but book by 8/8.

I already have my fall Disney trip booked and although I would like to go look at the newer Harry Potter stuff I probably won't as I have to use my Seaworld/Busch Gardens ticket that I bought on the Daily Deals auction. We were there when the first HP stuff opened and stayed at Royal Pacific.

I got this too. I called and wanted to see if they had any special deal for me on the higher tier resorts but no dice, lol. Guess I'll stick with my URs reservation which probably would've made more sense anyways

It's hard to say without calling. It doesn't say package but when it describes the hotel benefits you get going to the parks it says the parks require admission, so without calling it's kind of ambiguous. In any event, I'm not going.

Yeah, I see one Twitter they’re evacuating the ridgecrest hospital, Kern county is sending units from Bakersfield to assist as they have a right mess going on and they’ve got an alert out for another possible quake. Poor community! China Lake would have been hit as well so that’s gonna keep the Navy and Feds busy out there.

ETA: @afan thought it was weird kern county fire put out an alert half an hour ago on Twitter for another big quake in 15 mins but I was reading other stuff- it was. I haven’t missed the most important scientific development ever in the world of geology. Still can’t predict earthquakes. Oh Kern County.

I heard that, watching the USGS update now. Have to laugh at the media, are you using a helicopter to get to the area. Lady responds, we don't have the budget for that, you should look at our budget some time. Love her! Preliminary they are saying two small faults but they keep having aftershocks. It's a total bummer. Not sure if it's better that it was a holiday or not, since at least more people weren't at work etc and some would be away for the weekend. Also bad for those, including a some type of senior home, that has no power and no a/c for 90+ temps.

Seeing a crack in a 2 lane road, looks 3-4 inches wide at least.
