The lesser known Amalgamated Bank of Chicago credit cards (only 1% on purchases) currently offering 5% on warehouses. Which we plan to buy Disney gc's at 4% off at Sams Club to stack the discount this wknd. I'm not sure how frequently they offer this, but it doesn't seem to have a spend limit, unlike the Amex offers at retailers. $150 bonus for $1200 in 90 days.

I’m about to head to Lowe’s and staples to use my 10% off on my Amex for Disney gift cards.
Does anyone know of a limit at either store?
I usually do around $300 at staples and they always need id and make me feel like a criminal for buying gift cards but I’ve never tried more.
I need $900 today to pay my Disney cruise deposit.

I’ve did $600 worth of visa gift cards at Lowe’s last year. Maybe I had to show my ID but it was standard like if I did, cashier’s never really care about GC purchases at my Lowe’s stores.

@Haley R at least you don’t have a copperhead infestation?! Thats what we had this year in our yard! Really though palmetto bugs are gross but for sure just a fact of life here in the south. The good thing is that means they’ll be easier to treat because everyone is used to dealing with them! (Also don’t let it make you think your house is dirty or anything- seriously they are everywhere around everyones house!)

I have the biggest snake phobia. Grew up in PA next to a national forest and saw many, many snakes and poisonous ones. Worst experience was when the neighbor found one in her washing machine. It was on a screened in porch so not in the house proper. Now in OH, no poisonous snakes near me, just garter and black snakes but I still do not like seeing them.

I feel that way too! I think 'OH I get 20% off with my AP. What a deal?' And just tap the MB. Adding the folio to MDE has actually helped me curb a little bit of the impulse buys because I see it slowly growing! LOL

I've been looking online at Sunglass Hut to see if the new Mickey Ray-Bans are in stock. Nothing online yet. Looks like they will have to be purchased in MK. $243 ($194.4 after discount, before tax LOL)

I posted my breakdown on the gift card thread, but figured I would also share here (even though we have a lot of overlap )

I got 15% on my CSR and 10% on my Disney Visa. IDK if I should just buy $50 on each, or do $150 and split the tender? 11.7% saved on $150 or 12.5% saved on $100. Can't ever have enough gift cards, right?

I’m pretty sure the previous owners paid every month for a pest treatment. They just moved out recently so I wonder when the last treatment was. I’m positive we’ll be paying for the treatment too. I do not want to see another cockroach in here.

We’re planning on paying for lawn services and possibly pool care too. Our pool had a cleaner in it but we’ve never had a pool and aren’t really sure what to do with it. So we will watch what they do, learn how to do it, and then I’ll probably end up being the one to do it since I’ll be at home most days

Door handles, buffets, tv remotes -these don't phase me. Now bugs, especially cockroaches, are a whole different story! I'd be sleeping in a hotel!!! I'm freaking out just reading this

Yes! Second public link. Did dummy bookings for both cards. My first card was in July 2018, closed that in January. Got this card beginning of May. I requested a match and got encouraging language back on chat, but never even received a letter about it afterwards, so I wasn’t expecting to get the extra 20k. Which honestly I don’t need to book Japan, so it’s fine.

Arrived in Johannesburg this morning to JAL confirmations for our outbound flights to Japan for next summer! James at Juicy Miles booked us 2 First Class and 2 Business Class tickets on the SFO to Tokyo Haneda flight using our Qantas miles (recently transferred from MRs). Taxes and fees were a little over $100 per person. Really really happy he was able to get that booked for us while we were in the air. Crossing fingers he is equally successful in booking the return flights. But I’m super happy I decided to engage Juicy Miles to handle these bookings.
